It´s an KAB3E0547GPMW SD 3700.
ohhh Sh*ttttt
Very Nice Chip Stonka :O
Is this stonka's stepping? Nice chip!Quote:

3280-1.5 i primed now !
Small Update !! :)
Do you have phase change? That processor would FLY.
No cooled by Water but the Windoow is Open = 14c Temps !!!
I would See if the Cpu is good to 3.3 GHZ without IHS !!
I have Now 39c at 3280Mhz with 1.5V but without IHS i would by have max 32c at 22C Room Temp !
OH i Think 3330 Mhz without IHS i would make at 22C Romm Temp and 32C max Load :)

Is there someone with this stepping: KAB2E 0543 FPAW.
For system details see my sig...
This how for i've got :)

Played a little bit with boring prime.. :p:

Some great temps on SG while Priming. That is one fine 3700.
It is without IHS. :)
Little update.
I got yesterday another FX57. This one is performing much better than the other. :D
cu
@funkflix, it must have helped much, but actually I was noting your chipset and to a lesser degree PWMIC. Very cool.
@Sauron_Vie, damn man, that is fantastic.
Here is an KABNE 0544 EPMW I just picked up today.
So far not bad & no signs of any cold bug. :woot:
Could of did 3ghz with even 1.42V.
http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/9...bne3ghz8cb.gif
Does anybody have knowledge about this stepping??
KAB2E 0549 EPEW ??
It does 2805 MHz with 1,392 VCore, but i've got no time to test it further on this weekend.
Ah ok. :)Quote:

cu
btw here i have the money shot:
I haven't read the thread, but which steppings are better for subzero temps? (single phase change) Are the older ones better than the new ones?
edit: someone tested KAB2E 0547DPHW?

http://img325.imageshack.us/img325/4...2x929mn.th.jpg
this is OK for me but with mem divider it can do 3GHz but with 1,6v (pretty high voltage :( )
Got a couple of these today, kab3e 0547gpmw. Just trying out now.

coop is your 0547GPMW an 1377677L50 XXX?
Or an 1377777L50 XXX?
Neither, 1377229K50xxx. I will see how well they do here shortly, or at least mine.
http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/2...205155v1wi.jpg
Nice CPU! :toast:
indeed..I'm curious with how much vcore prime runs @ 3.0GHz. Could you test that?
@funkflix, thanks trying to get some like yours or Stonka's.
@BvK, I will, getting ready to go run atm. From my messing with this yesterday, I think these like to do prime. For use with air or water these are very well suited.
Priming now, 3003@1.39v. I'm only going to do a couple hrs. I have more to try out.
2-3Hours are enough to show us that the Chip is stable for the first.
OK, done. Load temps were 38c-39c. I can post a thumb.

This is mine for the moment:

This one takes 1.424v for 3Ghz. http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/2...424v4cd.th.jpg But still will do 32m @ 3063 like other one. http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/328...424v9ei.th.jpg
Come on coop, give it some volts
I was able to do a 32m@3203 1.55v with this one too. This seems to be not so easy. If someone would like to verify this please do and post. I was using 1.450vx110% to get the resulting 1.55v in Windows. I think it would be a challenge to say the least on air. I am curious though.
http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/8...203155v3le.jpg
You beat me here b4 I got my post up.
Haha coop, that's pretty good, but CPU idling at 20c? You've got some low ambients! My opty 148 on watercooling and relatively low ambients was idling at 25c with 1.6 volts lol.
Well, my res is a Coleman cooler, and sometimes I take gal. milk jugs, that have been filled w/water and frozen, and drop them inside.:D
lol coop
MORE VOLTS! Give it 1.63 and see if you can do more
my 148 @ 3ghz idles @ 22c w/ Tt Typhoon. 1.5v
uhh well i guess you have 15c ambient and IHS removed ;)
I was looking for something a bit higher but what it is is what it is.
http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/2...twk164v5te.jpg
Thumb shows 1.63v ? http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/2...164v9ft.th.jpg
Beautiful coop! I don't think you'll go much further now unless you were to pop IHS.
uhh..no. ihs was removed and then replaced. 17c ambient. not bad tho!;)Quote:

Air cooling has come a long ways. When I got mine the best was a slk900? Still using in this box. But the temps have really come down since then.
I just don't see how you could have a CPU idling 5c above ambient with 1.5 volts on air with the IHS on.Quote:

Here's one of my best idle shots
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...g/753e41d3.jpg
That's 23c idle with 1.6 volts, but that's in 16c ambient, with a naked CPU, and my damn good watercooling setup (lapped G4, D5, 120.2 weaponcore). 7c over ambient, even though the volts is .1 more here, i dont see how you can get 5c over ambient with air cooling.
I won't argue though.
ok, so is there a way to tell which of these are the new E6...CFBOX steppings? for the 3700+ i mean
my 0547GPMW 0001 on air

Thought that I also had an 3.25GHz screen with superpi 32M...but can't find it anymore.
Hi all, i am new to overcloking, but i have managed to get the following results with my san diego and a big typhoon
but i dont get why i get so bad scoring in super pi any ideas what will improve it?

So, little update from my side.
Cooled with modded vapo :D maybe i can hit 265HTT 1:1
cu
@Sauron Vie, you make that look so easy. You should be able to get 265 with those xms.
@BvK, that is a fine chip. I tried to get a 3100 prime with 1.488v but only 3080. Oh yea, 0001 is pretty cool too.
**EDIT** It looks as though 32m @ 3200 1.55v is not so easy. ***

Can anyone say why CPUZ isent showing CPu brand and so on ?
You got the same problem as me... Please, try to run AMD64 Tcasemax to see the real core, mine is a Toledo (at least is what the program tells me).
It says Toledo :S So i taught i had San Diego and now i got Toledo instead of it :(
Got ourselves a cpu with a 2 cores, 2nd one is disabled, probably based on some Toledo that didn´t pass all tests...
I got a san diego 3700+ from the Egg the other day to try in this EPoX 9NPA3 Ultra I have been messing around with:
http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/9...t1acrop6kj.png
There is 1.61v on the core. It isn't showing correctly. I put my old crucial ballistix with it so I would be sure to not be limited by my ram. The ballistix is good for 306. I need to tweak and tighten up timings and it looks like a flat 2.9 at 1:1 is going to be it for this chip on air. Not bad for 211usd for the chip and 85usd for the mobo. Also I am on MCE 2005 :p which isn't known to be the most stable OS for overclocking. Full detail of the crop above is below. Click to enlarge.
http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/4...st1a3bo.th.png
I plan on testing this chip in gaming vs my 4400+.
0549MPMW batch 0042
does 2.85Ghz with stock voltages and 3.1Ghz at 1.5V
aircooled of course
http://img501.imageshack.us/img501/6078/crop1dp.th.jpg
next step: remove IHS, use high performance fan and run the RAM 1:1
I think for a jump from 2.85->3.1(250MHz) on air you should have more voltage to it about 1.6 in my opinion.
If it is stable at 1.5 (your cpu-z says 1.52 which in my mobo is 1.55 at least)
then it can be stable at 2.95 with 1.4...is it?
Probably, I only tested stock voltage, 1.5V and 1.55V.
And I only want stabililty during benchmarks, ie spuperpi and pifast stable.
I'm not saying that all this is prime stable.
If it scales further like this, we'll see 3.2Ghz @ 1.6V tonight
Well i found CCBWE 0544TPMW on a San Diego core.
Seems very strange as this step corresponds to
Opteron Dual Core cpus.
Check this out:
http://wiki.extremeoverclocking.com/wiki/Opteron
Maybe we have some hybrid core? LOL
I have the same as you! Mine corresponds to a Toledo!:DQuote:

I think it is a bad overclocker.
I really don´t know on my 939Dual-Sata2 i can´t get it higher than 235mhz no matter what i do.
But i really think that this is related to the motherboard as if i get past the 235mhz, the computer won´t boot. Until i try it on another motherboard, i can´t tell if it´s a bad overclocker or not.
Well it seems that it is a Toledo but with second core disabled.
If you can find a way to enable it then you have a nice dual core cpu.
But i think that fact make the chip a descent overclocker.
What temps do you have?
Finding a way of unlocking the 2nd core would be sweet! As i´ve bought this cpu for 215€!
Now for the temps i got with my XP-90 and a NB SE2, NextSensor reports 47º now at full load, and it´s kinda hot today.
I think that this is a rather high temperature for a San Diego, don´t you think?
Phantasia: With what clocks and voltage u hit 47*C at full load ?
I run Prime95 @ 2650mhz 1.6v and hit 50*C
I´m usually folding 24/7, at stock voltage (1.45) and at stock speed(2200) since i can´t get a decend overclock from this motherboard. Right it´s around 27º outside. And i have all intake fans off.
This is weird, now i´m sure that this is a weird temp for a San Diego...
I tested my Sandy 3700+ for a bit today. The only bad part about this cpu is the ****ty IMC. It cant and wont handle 290+ 1:1...
But I finished 300*10 @ 1.48V with a devider tho.
I used the following rig:
AMD San Diego 3700+ KAB2E 0546 GPBW
DFI nf4 Ultra-D Modded to Sli
704-2BTA Bios
2x512Mb GeIL TCCD Week 525
Sapphire X800GT
Zalman 400W PSU
http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/8510/3ghz148v9vn.jpg
Ill try with bh-5(max 275ish @ 2-2-2-5)next week.
Regards
X3RO is it 3d and gamestable at those speed ?
^^ what he said... but nice looking chip! mine will do 3ghz with 1.475 vcore, but I can't prime with that voltage... then anything over 1.50 would cause too much heat, so I popped the top and that did the trick.. hopefully you won't have to go through that with yours... the new ones seem to be better with vcore it seems... as the fabrication process optimzes.. they get better yeilds of good chips which need less power.. the KAB3E's were good OCers also.. well, a bunch of them... anyways... post more info on your OCing when you can. :)
Well my SanDiego does 10x300 but cannot do 11x256 or more.
What is this issue?
Is something with multi 11?
My BH can do 10x265 1:1 with ease but 11x256+ is not capable for my San Diego.
Played with MAL/Read Pr but no go. Is this crappy imc?
No at 1.49/1.50v it is tho..Quote:

Sounds nice to me. 2.9ghz with air shouldnt be problem :)
Hey all, here's my sandy 4000+ (KABYE 0538 GPMW)
Pic: 28.781
I'm going to test it next weekend on water. What do you gays think of this stepping.
Btw, how do you set your pic immediately on this page?
Grtz
@Hystrix^, save your pic, upload to imageshak then click on the insert image icon. I got a SD3700+. kab3e 0547gpmw. I got a new board also. 32m@3203mhz with 1.53v, and 32m@3263mhz with 1.6v. Did not concern myself with times, only to complete at lowest possible volts.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...032m326322.jpg
god damn coop :P what cooling are you using ? I presume watercooling
Thanks for the information
Yes, water with a rather large res. that I can put ice into.
How are the latest 3700+ SD's? Any good? I'm selling my X2 that does 2900mhz @ air cooling, and I'm about to buy a 3700+ SD but don't know how the new steppings are doing . . .
Best so far...my XP-120 can hold this to go higher.
What should i expect on water?
