Amazing job there Matt, and I can understand your pain. I imagine even that one short video, that kept looping until I realized it was less than a few minutes long :D , would have cost you a couple of hours to do, not to mention getting the A-Ok from those in the vid for the final version.

It did take an hour or two to edit (unfamiliar with Premiere Pro, got it from the university) and then another few hours of headaches to get the output render correct.

Last time I did a full video, it took two of us 72 hours straight to clip together a 20 minute video. My buddy stayed up the whole time, three days straight! Now, granted, we had a lot more footage than I do, but that should give you some idea of the workload ;)

ive edited lots of video especially using premiere

it does take a while, but if its fun u dont notice it

usually takes me like 6-10 hours for a 40 minutes video, form 5 hours of footage

OK guys, video work is underway as we speak. I need to get back to my dual Xeon rig to do the output renders, so Monday at the earliest, and depending on the final output size we may need hosts for the video clips (I'll probably do more than one), so if you've got fast server space you're willing to use for XS, let me know!

I've decided to make just one video out of the clips. I have ~35min of footage to work with, a large portion of which is the interviews with the guys. Since I don't have quality audio of them speaking, I'll just integrate bits of it into the final video, and run the output as a both high and low res DiVX as before.

Once we have a few mirrors for these let me know and I'll start a new thread for the front page. Also, the final high quality version will be > 100MB and I only have 100MB of space, so I do appreciate those offering a logon for webspace. I may not need it for a while but it will come in very handy when I do.

PC ICE is doing the rapid-fire IHS removal, it scared the sh*t out of most of us but he did at least a few of them at the event like that with no issues.

The video for that portion was not sped up at all, TBH I don't think he spent more than a minute or two on the CPU's. (The man's talented ;) )

Although, I would fade the music out for a bit while guys are talking and especially at the end when OPP and Macci exchange some comments and then fade it in after ;)

Thanks for the comments, but do remember I'm not %100 finished here ;)

Also, you're not going to hear most of the speech well regardless, without a boom mike the camera uses it's own omnidirectional mike (and I'm not even going to get into how terrible the audio is with that). Suffice it to say you're lucky to get ANY speech . . .

Actually that clip doesn't make much since without some background.

Everyone was having problems booting OCZ VX and similar memories at 200MHz (i.e. 3200). OPP was telling Macci that when he put in his BH-5, the system booted up no problems.

Expect a credits section at the end of the final video. Also, if any of the clips don't make sense, feel free to ask. They're taken out of context and used for aesthetic, not narrative, purposes. :up:

It's official, waiting on DivX encoding drives me NUTS :p:

OK gang, I had a 16-17 minute continuous take of ATI's interviews of the gang (OPP, PC ICE, FUGGER, Chilly1, Macci) which I decided to output separately of the multipart video. Hence, I intend to have:

Main vid, part1
Main vid, part2
Main vid, part3
Main vid combined
Interview vid

The interviews are done with very minimal editing, I was hoping we'd get ATI's footage of the event since the reporters there had broadcast equipment, boom mikes etc. The audio is spotty, but there's nothing that can be done about it, you CANNOT get good audio from the standard omnidirectional mike on any videocamera, you really need a boom mike - so, you'll hear a lot of background noise, chatter etc. Deal with it, it can't be helped.

Part2 is almost done, waiting on the DivX encoding of the interviews right now. Mi amigos with hosting space, I need you! :D

Forgive the lower quality, I had to two-pass encode at 750kbps to get it to fit under 100MB (the limit of my webspace!). If I can get access to someone's FTP at some point and peeps want it, I can make a higher quality version.

Unfortunately that would take forever to do, so unless someone's willing that's not going to happen ;)

The high quality version will replace the current one, I'll encode the audio at a higher bitrate as well, just have to wait till I have an FTP space setup so I can upload files >100MB!

Did a cleaner render of the interviews, the audio should be clear enough to at least understand everyone. Tops out at 133MB so I'll have to wait until I have somewhere to upload the file before it'll be hosted.

Also, it'll be several days before Part3 is done, got a busy weekend ahead of me looks like . . . :rolleyes:
