But i have heard that if you put all yours services out in win xp that your score at benchmarks will come bigger. But here i get less score without the services.
Or is it best to don't turn off ALL services?
Some of the essential services are needed, but some are not when running a game. Turning off all services will turn of some necessary items. I just run mine all running. I found it does not make too much of a difference. But, if you are a few points away from the score you need, it can help you get that last 50 points.Quote:

No more core left according to Coolbits. But no sign of any artifacting at 453 limit. Trying Rivatuner and having better luck with the video memory. Swapped in my BH-5 - almost no change. So BH-5 at 250 = TCCD at 300 11,649 on '05 #20 on page 1 however briefly!
Every little bit counts. You keep sneaking up the list. Nice work on the GT's. Others have trouble getting their Ultra's to those clocks.Quote:

Okay final post for a while until I get more info on the bios edit. Had to push my processor because the cards are all tapped out. 11,665 on '05 Just enough to bump myself back onto page one. :)

After a few hours of :brick: and :cussing: trying to figure out why my scores were taking a huge dump after the bios edit, I finally went back to the old bios. When I found they were still underperforming I initially thought I had damaged my cards. After a while I finally traced it to a installation/uninstallation issue with '05.Quote:

Gundamit, nice runs on the BIOS edit. Very nice clocks for GT cards. And, using a Winchester to boot. So, let's see, $1,100 US for that result versus others with two Ultra's and and FX for $2,000 US. Looking good!
Score updates .Did a fresh install and ran the BH5 mem at 267 2-2-2-5 @ 3.64 volts instead of the Gskill Le. Improved the scores a bit but the 12k in05 is proving elusive. Need a bit more speeds on the vid cards to get it.

Dang! That Skyline guy always has me a few points behind him. He's got me by 10 points and when I went to look at the compare I see this.
GT1 - Return To Proxycon Me: 51.0
GT1 - Return To Proxycon Him: 50.6
GT2 - Firefly Forest Me: 34.8
GT2 - Firefly Forest Him: 35.9
GT3 - Canyon Flight Me: 61.3
GT3 - Canyon Flight Him: 60.2
So I beat him on two of three tests and end up with a frame total of 147.1 vs. his 146.7. Either the score is weighted more heavily toward Firefly or there is some kind of conspiracy to keep me down! :dammit: Maybe they spot the "Pro" users a few points to motivate cheap bastards like myself to purchase the software. Thats it then. I'm boycotting Futuremark until such time they level the playing field or I manage to squeeze another 11 points out of my machine, whichever comes first. :soap:
factor in gundamit's mach2 costs and about the same heheQuote:

I have also noticed some tests improve with better FSB rates, while others drop a little. Add to that, the tolerances from card to card, CPU to CPU, and memory to memory, and we are lucky to get within 2 to 3 percent on the exact same system with the same settings, never mind different hardware. That 2 to 3 percent makes a big difference on bench scores up around 11000 or so. That represents a 200 to 300 point spread on similar spec'd hardware. So, 10 points is really a zero difference, but it does mean the difference between second and third. ;)
True, have to factor that. Then again, a lot of the FX-55/Ultra systems he is keeping up to have a Mach as well.Quote:

GeForce 6 Series, SLI: After exiting a 3D game, the NVIDIA clock frequency remains at the higher 3D-performance frequency instead of reducing to the standard clock frequency.
This explains the temp issues as well.
Anyway, were do you force the overclock? Is it in Rivatuner?

There is also a little known menu that comes up running Coolbits 3D. When installing the app, select the applications profile check, hit apply, then uncheck the box. Now, there is an additional 3D tab that lets you adjust the aperture size and the mipmap level (0-1.3). So far, I have never had to use RivaTuner to get my clocks up on the video cards.

Maybe it was 28,900 on 03 that I recall (just found result on ORB for 28,994, never could find the 05 result). The 05 result was not published after the version update. But, I guess a good place to verify the 05 score is his very own site. I should have took a peak over there. Either way, looks like you crushed that score. 12,900 or 12,457 ! :slobber:Quote:
