cantankerous
The modules are pretty consistent at the moment, your seeing a difference on boards as boards overclock the ram, some boards are better than others.
On the NF2 front i doubt these will do any better if you but 2x512 as the chipset as mentioned is the issue. We are considering 256 modules so you NF2 lovers can play also but you have to remember 256's are a limited market.
Here in Belgium the have the VX serie to,1x512mb=155€,2x512mb=299€,thats a nice price isn'it :toast: .
Thanks for the response bigtoe. Appreciate it. I am not wanting to stick NFII forever. I only have it cause I don't wany other board but the DFI 939 so until it's available I will stick with what I have. I was thinking of getting the ram early in case yields change and down the road they don't clock as well. As long as they can do what my BH-6 can do I won't lose any speed until the mean time.
If modules are pretty consistent at the moment then it may be worth getting some. By consistent do you mean anyone with a good clocking board should be able to get 260+ 2-2-2 like you, ryan, eric and steve were showing on an amd platform?
that price in belgium is still a bit high , We expect these to be at around 250 US dollars for 1gb
1€ = 1.32$
x€ = 250$
-------------
x = 250/1.32 = 190€ .....should be max 250€ in EU not 300€ !!!!!!
300*1.32 = 400$ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banana::banana::banana::banana:ing EUROPE
So what kind of overclock can we expect on a retail 1gb kit, using the OCZ Booster?
260mhz 2225?
everybody should buy from US online stores so european stores will be forced to lower their price
HAHAHAHAHAHA
just ordered this ram + ocz booster YAY
Can you do something about that high price?Quote:

right with you Rocker :) (belgian also :D)
I'd so buy that ram then (1gig)
because my Apacer 3200 (512MB) well it kinda...
SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
i was looking at patriot ram a few days ago but if the prices drop here i'm belgium I'm so getting that ram (+ booster off course)
hope they're like that in AustraliaQuote:

Here in Norway a gig of this VX sells for about 275 euros (no, we don't use that currency, but anyway) at www.netshop.no That's not too bad, as it is cheaper than the EL Rev. 2 atleast :)

Is a 2x512mb VX kit cheaper than the 2x512mb Gold EL LE PC4400 kt? I really want 250mhz CL2.2.2.5 on my s754, and aside from BH-5 RAM, these look like the only OCZ RAM that can deliever that.
I have forgotten all about the Platinum Rev2(will not even match my old Geil, it would seem, by far), as these look like the future OCZ product to get for me. Gonna get an OCZ Booster in a few days, so I don't have to upping that 3.3v line too much(+5%).
When are these RAM gonna be available for your OCZ friendly stores in Denmark?
Ryanpgroove/Bigtoe - These have been tested on s754 platforms, right, and work perfectly? DFI NF3 250gb? Even in a 2x512mb setup? Will give 250mhz CL2.2.2.5 T1 with high voltage under booster?
I am so excited about these RAM. I should have looked at this thread when it was started.
Is it possible for you to ship directly to a certain Danish store? They have alot OCZ products in advance. They agreed to trade the Gold PC4400, so if I can trade clean to these ones, I will be in heaven :)
EDIT: Just saw that some of the high benches with CL2.2.2.5 was made on a s754 platform. Damn I hope these ones work with my setup. I am ecstatic over this OCZ product.
I know you OCZ guys are busy and all, but is there a chance I could send the PC4400 directly to you and trade them clean for these XV RAM? Just wondering :)
Sorry dude, I agreed to sell it to somebody else already.Quote:

seems swapping the modules around in the same dimm 1+3 slots ocs better
240mhz 3-2-2-8 is with stick 1 + 2 in dimm 1+3
memtesting right now at 250mhz 3-2-2-8 16T at 3.6v better than before so stick 2+1 in dimm 1+3 respectively
Can't wait to move to my AMD64/DFI board since this is what the ram was optimised for.
eva this scores are made in NF2 ?
oh INTEL :p:

still testing but it seems burning in this memory allows it to clock higher and higher.. at least 6-12hrs sessions of burn in cycles are needed - i'm working on 250mhz 3-2-2-6 right nowQuote:

or are you trying to beat WXchaser ??? LOL
Anyone tried these on an Abit AV8? Wanna know if they work, seeing as the board is so picky with ram.

Alright guys , I scaned a look at the yeild results from the batch testing of the first large production run ,
looks like on 875 most of these should pass 2.5-2-2 at 240 , and higher on A64 , soryy it took me so long to get you any idea on 875 results
of course your mileage may vary , but not bad for Pc-3200 with a decent price
I've had that page bookmarked for a week now. I'll be first in the "virtual line" to pick up a set. :DQuote:

OCZ rulezzz :p:
so ryan, what are the expected results from this scanned batch on a64 if the intel platform is 240?
As far as I can tell we only test them in house to 2-2-2 240 on a64 @ 3.3 volts , looks like the ones that fail at that get put into a batch for restesting for a value product
Seems as eva says these also need to be burned in .
Ryan.
I'm gonna post up 280MHz @ 2-2-2-10 with 3.6VDIMM on Thursday. If not, expect a PM from me regarding the OCZ RMA protocol. ;)

Okay, my bad :D
Ryanpgroove - Will there be an option besides the PC3200 kit?
We might do 256s , besides that not likely
Any idea when these will be available in Australia? i hate waited longer than everyone else :(
These oc-results are really impressive. I am looking forward receiving this memory soon. I hope my memory will obtain the same results ;)
Besides, this is the link to the reseller in Austria (we've just one reseller :( )
http://www.xtremesystems.at/index.php/cPath/94_28_123
OCZ PC3200 Rev. - 2 2x512MB
345,55€ = 345,55x1,3 = 448,50 US-$
I hope you can do something against it!
I doubt the OCZ guys are going to confirm this, but it sure is nice to speculate. :D
ProMOS 5B Chips + Brainpower PCB = OCZ PC-3200EL Gold VX
If this is the case, there are a few other manufacturers that have already been using these voltage-loving chips on their modules.
EDIT:
If you recently purchased a set of PQI Turbo modules, I'd like to know if you were able to run in the 240MHz to 260MHz range with 3.3VDIMM or more.
Huh...The only ICs i see in the link that are rated for 3.3 are SDR chips @143-166Mhz ?!!
You'll have to read this to learn more.
how much difference would the new VX ram be compared to my EB if both were ran at 3.2v+ ???
reason I ask right now at 3-3-2 the EB does OK on my asus which is voltage limited but if I went to a NEO plat. mobo and OCZ booster I could put more voltage to my EB and lower timings to 3-2-2 and up my FSB into the 260-270 mhz range, maybe even 290mhz **crosses fingers**
so at 260-270 mhz will the VX be able to hit 2-2-2 ?? and will lowering the CAS from 3 to 2 make that large a difference???
thanks for your reply.
I have PQI PC3200 Turbo modules, when I had them in my Max3, I noticed they were more stable at 3.2v then anything. I'm getting a DDR booster tomorrow or Wednesday, so I'll do some more testing then.Quote:

THeres is no way you will get those ram settings with a neo2 plat.. If you are referring to the same mobo as mine then let it be known.. this board doesnt like EBQuote:

It could be anything(obviously not, but it could be unknown chips, or some new technology deployed) and OCZ probably relabels them. If I had to see this with OCZ' eyes, I wouldn't say what they were, even if the guess was partly or completely true, as Gskill and alot others would do the same within asap. I would keep it a secret, but that is just me.
I think, these RAM will hit the OC retail marked with force of one those old tested USSR 65MT H-bombs. BH-5 got a contender and a very fine one for AMD64.
Dastardly chips regardless. What is the full product code for these RAM?(for reference with retailer in Denmark)
Well seems they don't believe us when we tell them it's not promos. But once some people spend their money on the stuff they will know. But if you all think they are promos look no further than our premier ram...:D
Just wondering, if you had some VX working at say 250 at 2-2-2-x, would that give an equivilant banwidth/superpi time etc... if you were running RAM at a higher FSB, say 270/280 but at slacker timings like 3-3-3-x? Just wondering how much the tighther timings compensate for the not quite as high FSB?
Also, when you say 'burning in', do you simply mean running the RAM under constant pressure, say in memtest, for long periods of time?
Also, I'm deffo getting some of this stuff, be running it on my DFI NF2 till the new year, then I'll be making the jump to 64bit! Looking forward to it!
hey steve (or others), in DUAL channel could you post VX everest scores at 250mhz
don't need a screenie just #s would be fine.
read = 7000
write = 2500
Lat = 43ns
timings = 2-11-13-2-2-5-2-2-1-2 (per A64 tweaker)
^^^^^^^^^^example^^^^^^^^^^
something along those lines would be appreciated.
Good job, eXcaliberPC.com. Thanks for letting the anxiety build up deep within me, only to discover that you won't be selling the VX until 12/03/04. I've been refreshing their page every 30 minutes since 8:00am and this is what I get. Bummer. :cussing:
they must have already sold out lol.
Impossible. I've been monitoring their site since 8:00am. I'm checking out a few other spots that have it in stock.
EDIT:
What other retailer has these in stock besides eXcaliberPC and ComputerHQ? I'm tempted to purchase from ComputerHQ, but at $18.00 more + steeper shipping charges, I'm thinking twice.
not funny ryan tho....
