But I hate those coolers that has to be tightened hard, because I am afraid the screws/bolts will break if I apply too much force or the hardware might be damaged in some way. It happened to me once, with my brand new TR SLK900u, that I was to install on my Barton 2500+. I tightened the bolt all too much, and the bolt couldn't take it, therefore it broke over in two, and suddently my most expensive, new cooler couldn't be used at all :(

I did some minor modding to the case, I cut out the original fan grills because they restricted airflow pretty badly. I left the front one bare since the hub on the new fan didn't allow a grill (besides it looks better) and I put a simple wire ring grill on the back. My airflow out the back literally doubled once I removed that stupid small-holed grill :slapass:
Sladesurfer, that looks amazing. Amazing job on the wire management.

I've done it with 2 of my rigs so "money = mouth" ;) On one of my rigs that standard rear exhaust fan has been replaced with a fan with a built-in thermo-control, so it runs slow until needed.

Summer is closing in fast, and so are higher temperatures. I got hold of two office desktop fans, that i put to use on my rigs, which are both running Rosetta@home. Those fans move a LOT of air, lol. I have no idea how many CFMs, but at full speed I don't have any temp-readings above 50C at load.

lovin the setup maniac, but I must ask. Does your psu'z cables seem realllllllly hard to move around? like theyre really stiff? thats how mine are but there sure do look kicka$$
