Heh, well.... no computational errors this time.
And hear me now. I aint done baby! Triple T's gonna bring the pain! :P

Can anyone beat my 50.78?
Why is my score so good when my CPU is at only 2.3GHz, I don't get this benchmark!
you've gotta be doing something wrong somewhere, that would be a world record  you must be using different settings? Look at sysfailurs score, and he's got a few more mhz than you :cool:Quote:

Well, I'm just using the hexus pifast script! :stick:
full loaded got a similar result to you at a similar clock speed, so both you and him must be running a different version :S
I zipped my DIR, if the results remain too fast it must be the computar ;)Quote:

Yep, must be 'cause I've been using PiFast 4.2 and not 4.1 :(
Wish it was my PC :D

Well the PIfast Challenge returns :)
David @ Hexus.net has offered to Host for Free, PMM has done all the work and thanks to Jeff F for his help.
To submit your Pifast Bench or to Download the Pifast program
PMM will attempt to update as much as possible in the early stages, just to get the table going, after that expect Daily Updates after 7PM UK Time.
I hope you enjoy the tables :)
Thank gawd! It was getting to the point where I was going to just offer to put it on my site... I could've done that no problem since the prob started. If it goes down again I'm slapping it on my site :PQuote:

Don't forget folks submit your screen captures in this thread as well.
Thanks PMM for doing this :) and to Dave at Hexus as wellQuote:

Do you submit screen captures in the comments section, by using an URL, and then you take them out ? :confused:Quote:

Hello zakelwe
Just post the the screen shot in this thread :) please
Excellent!!!! wtg M@tt
Time to have some fum huh fellas........:D
Is the Pifast bench you have for downloading the same as the old one? I'm figuring it is, just double checking.
yes same one.
Thanks. You'll have my submission shortly then :)
Thanks, to everyone involved in resurrecting the page from the grave :toast:
Ok just done a ickle update :)
Hahah you know it! I am addicted to hexus pifast!Quote:

My screenshot is a bit up on this page somewhere's ;)
The problem with advertising it on xtremesystems.org of course is that even though I can get sub 1 minute my score is going to be dead last as it is about 58 seconds.
LOL
:D

Andy
PS Where are the Hexus guys on there ??
;)
Looks like you'll have to push your gear a little harder with this group.......Quote:

If it makes ya feel any better my best is a little under 58 seconds.
I will be trying again though, as I didn't have alot of experience with this board when I was doing the benches... should be a little better now..... but not enough to really compete;)
muzz, did you get better performance running single or dual channel on your 8RDA+? What dimm did you use, best mem timings? Thanks,
Nate
Definitely better scores running dual on my board.
I use slots 1+2 ( furthest and closest in relation to the cpu), with ram timings ( when I was testing pifast) of 5-2-2-2 I believe ( It can do lower, but it's fine for just putzin' around)..
I will get a better score than the 1 I posted here and at Kains site( which never made it there, as it went offline) now, but I am not foolish enough to think that with my cpu and cooling I can honestly compete with these guys.. but it is fun.:toast:

Nowt wrong with 58sec get it submitted :D
I'm holding off submitting a better score since I'm updating the tables that said its not gonna get near the top 3 :)
As Muzz says it is fun and it is also a good quick test for stability.
However, some people before have been getting very low scores with "average" systems .. when I say average no offence as that is similar to my spec, but average compared to the guys at the very top ( you all know who :) )
Here's a guy who ran it when I told him about it, he has a good XP2100 running 2300-2400MHz on nforce2 at about 210 FSB, so I'd assume a 60-64 second run or there abouts:-
Program : PiFast version 4.2, by Xavier Gourdon
Computation of 10000000 digits of Pi

Total computation time : 50.98 seconds (~ 0.01 hours)

Are we all running the same version here ??

Regards
Andy
thats v4.2 , you need 4.1 .... as you can guess, 4.1 is slower
If its what I saw the other day did he not say he had version 4.2
of pifast and just used the hexus batch file with it?
To maintain the standard I have kept with the orginal 4.1 version I have charted all the trusted results to compare against I have
more results than shown Table results ;)
Yes, I ran both and got :-
v 4.1
http://www.aocb77.dsl.pipex.com/pifast41.jpg
and with v 4.2
http://www.aocb77.dsl.pipex.com/pifast42.jpg
How are you going to split up the 41's from the 42's, say if someone gets a 61 second time apart from using intuition ? There is already confusion from new people trying it and thinking they have got a great score.
I think it is better if we all use 4.1 but for the moment I will put in my 4.2.
Regards
Andy
Good idea to stick with what was started with.Quote:

Btw PMM.. you should really have a section for motherboard!
People are putting it in their comments, but you should have a column for it. Make it prettier ;)
thats just me I was men't to combine it into comments I forgot
with the earlier ones but the latter ones I Included into comments.
Erm....... The whole point of using the Hexus Pifast is to download
the one supplied in the link not use the 4.2 from else where
But hay I could very easily change it to 4.2 and scrap the old
that way you all have to use the latest and then theres no
messing or cheating.
I can declare all given results so far as version 4.1 and switch.
I think we should leave it as it is, it allows people to compare to reviews of the latest hardware and IMO if people are sad enough to cheat, they will anyway.Quote:

Back on topic, I've sumitted my result to the site, bringing up the rear in 19th place lol ;)
Hey Andy, just saw your new 3dmark01se score. Congratulations with that! And thanx for your remark about me in there :)
Well I shaved a bit off my best score. still lame in comparison to other folks, but hey. still working on it.
8RDA+/2600+/ 2x256 XMS3500c2 2.9 vdimm/VDD1.8
11x229fsb 5-2-2-2 timings 2520mhzhttp://home.attbi.com/~gpl08/57.09_p...-2_2520mhz.jpg
muzz, don't put yourself down. Anything under 60 seconds is nice!
ctgilles: Nice collection!
I'm cool with the score, my best was high 57's B4 tonight. so thats cool that I almost got to the high 56's........ I need better cooling.....gotta get the cpu down<15 degrees C... that was at about 28 deg. according to usdm, the sensors are low so that was prolly really about 38 degrees or so, which is killing my top end.
I'm happy with it..... FOR NOW!!!....
Thx Sys........ now go break that 56 barrier.....:toast:
Soon as I get distribution blocks and tubing, no prob!
I just went to the page..... I have the wrong score........ I don't know if I typed it wrong, or they did......... MATT can you fix my score so that it reads 57.09 instead of 57.03 ?
I just want it to be accurate..
If I mistyped it I apologize..... not trying to screw anyone.
Sorry muzz, it was my mistake
It's fixed now :)
NP M@tt, thanks.......I really didn't care who's mistake, either way it was inadvertant.... like I said I just wanted it to reflect the truth is all.
I'm like that:D
Thanks Again M@tt
My latest result:
http://www.solidhardware.com/macci/x...ex_pi_2950.gif
XP2100 week 4, temps -7C, 2.2V. Did about 2400MHz 1.92V +10C air and retail cooler.
8RDA+ w/ aircooled NB, 2x256MB HyperX 3500 3-2-2-2 settings.
Macci you own lol :) Just noticed your 7k score in 3d mark03 aswell, congrats :toast:
omfg macci... air cooled??!? i thought my 2.7 air cooled was sweet.. i gotta get one of those 2100+ and another stick of ram.
http://www.angelfire.com/droid/newb2k/2.7ghz_taco.jpg
hehhe no tace hell no its not aircooled :D
CPU core temp -7C under full load (=poorly installed dryice container :D). Didn't have much time to play w/ that yet but I'd say that it can do about the same speed w/ my R404 vapocooler.
oh.. still thats sweet. if i had access to dry ice.. oh man that would be awsome, you peoples over in europe get to mess with all the cool chemicals and such. ;)
http://www.adventurevision.com/somepictures/5598.gif
My new low... and with a SLK-800A no less. ;)
macci: What liquid do you use in the dry ice container? ThxQuote:

Excellent work Jeff:thumbsup:
Sure seems like a sweet 2100+ bro:toast:
Just tinkering with my best overall score on this. At the current setup I'm getting this:
sys: the stuff is called masinol - gasoline antifreeze. Guess its basically ethanol.
Well here's my attempt.
http://users.tpg.com.au/spark69/scre...pifast2847.jpg
I really need a better 8RDA+, this one just cant do dual channel well (every at 2V). Made up for the lack of FSB speed with the mem timings though :)
tried single channel (13x217) but got worse performance :(
11.5*230.5 Dual DDR = 2651MHz in wc with a 2500+
http://enormimo.site.voila.fr/photos/53.80.JPG
Here's a slightly better attempt.
http://users.tpg.com.au/spark69/scre...pifast2823.jpg
Took all the voltage I dare give it, Vcore=2.125, Vdd=2.0, Vdimm=3.1
Did a 52.88 sec run at 13x219 (2-2-2-3 DC) but cant repeat it :( Shouldve taken the screen shot straight away.
2500+ always watercooled

macci: Thanks! -- And nice scores guys!
http://www.kelham.freeserve.co.uk/52-67.jpg
XP 1700 12.5 x 228
Now to mode some bridges :D
Phew, the competetion is getting tough around here. Better lift my game before I get run over :)
M@tt, can you delete my 8RDA+ result (53.34 sec) from the tables. I dont really need two entries and the NF7-S one is faster.
I CAN'T find my 52.45 score........Anyways.......Here you are again........Please IF you can, replace it with my older one.......... :D

SOMEONE STICKY THIS THREAD ALREADY! :P
Sorry hipro, I cant let you beat me :D

2 tries and I got this.
54 something.
I'll work on it later.
nice test ;)

Thought I might put one in as well. I'll update with something more respectable later.
This was done while testing so didn't go for max clocks......:)
Nice time LORD, what speed was that at?
Still on plain water or are u using the pelts now
new High.
still testing...
It was at about the 2700 mark at the time. No pelts. No Ghetto cooling. Just testing fsb speeds.Quote:

http://www.bigbutton.com.au/~lord/wcpuid2690.jpg
[LORD EDIT: I did make a wcpuid shot but left it in th W2K partition]
LORD,
Thats even better considering its just water cooled. 2nd highest water cooled result behind cpulloverclock's Barton.
Be nice to take that chip for a run in the prom :D
BTW FSB is still limited to 219 @ high Vcore ... R404a comes on Saturday, maybe it wont matter :D
In the Prom it could be a 3 gig + chip.......!? We'll see.;)Quote:

Get better NB cooling and stick some more volt's in there. That'll get the fsb up higher! :D
I did some more tweaking today, and I took down the 50s mark :)
