Mad Scientist always hard at work. What kind of oil issues did you run into? I'm very new at the whole super cooling scene (as states my syg) and i love to ask questions. Especially to people like you, Chilly, seeing you are on the top of your game when it comes to this stuff.
i haven't understood, this -150 cooler will be of fugger?
The 150 cooler was downsized to a three stage -122C loaded unit I am still working out the bugs but with the new oil seperators and the addition of an autocascading third stage we will probably get it stable.
what gas blend would you intend on using 3rd stage autocascade?Quote:

Well teh gases are still up in the air but definatly R14 plus probably either R1270 or R507 whichever works better... maybe a little R290 but I gott look at teh freezing point of it first.
Could somebody possibly tell me where to find a definitive explanation of how a cascade works? Say a triple stage auto cascade?

So you build systems for people all over? Thats pretty cool. They must cost a fortune to ship! How much different is an autocascade from a phase change? Would a triple stage just pretty much be 3 phase change systems hooked together somehow, and the refrigerant getting steadily consistently colder with a pass thru each stage?

Him I'm far far far far from knowledgeable. But I beleive an autocascade uses one or more compressors in paralel to compressor 2 or more gases. Then they go to a normal condensor were only one will turn liquid. The seperator then is basically like a big T on its side. The liquid will drop and the gas will rise. The liquid then cap tubes to a chamber to then evaps to condense the second gas. This then evaps in your cpu block. I dunno but I think he may repeat that process over. 1 gas condenses another condenses another... So in this the gases are actually together. :stick: A cascade would be the same thing but its 3 seperate loops. Less complex to build a 3 stage beleive it or not than an auto cascade as far as I've seen...

Take some courses and become HVAC certified. I'm not sure what the certifications are or what they entail though. Check your local community college, they always got stuff like that. Your best bet would be to hit up a trade school though.

Thanks I looked that up too.. I have to find a better alternative.. Looks like there is some chemical reaction with hydrocarbon based oils.. So it wil need to be either Alkylbenzene of POE I will need dto do a little more searching..Quote:

Working on the 7 rebuild problem is the R50 (Methane) has too little capacity by itself... WE have some new gasses inbound for the mid stages ...
You never cease to amaze me chilly. Keep us updated.
Build for this starts when I have concluded the final testing on the autocascade sets I am building now.
