Maybe your IMC degrade bro, if issue is failing 32m with freezing etc. Do you get any strange post codes? l0ud has experienced this on a couple retail chips....he returned them lol

I tried with bios B. Seems to be better. I did the flash back to A. Then tried the settings again (with the same bios version that was in B which was 142), still had the same problem. So, I re-flashed bios A again with 151b, now it seems to be working but I need to test more again. Will report back...Quote:

Nick, can you tell me, there are some problems with stock in eastearn Europe, Romania more exact?
Z87M OC Formula still none sign of it here, as for OC Formula was in stock, 2-3 weeks ago, now it's not in stock.
And also was available at just 2 online shops.
Problems with stocks from Asrock here in Romania were not in the past ...
Alex-Ro has the motheboard from other source not from any local shop.
Want to buy next week Z87M OC Formula to pass to Haswell.
How much CPU input voltage and cache voltage do you think is safe to use for 24/7 on air? I've been testing clocking my new 4670K on my ASRock Extreme6 and vcore wise it seems pretty decent so far seemingly stable (still need more various tests to be sure) at 4.5GHz 1.21v vcore (might go a few 0.01v lower even) but seems to need like 1.2v cache voltage or so (at least not stable at 1.15v cache voltage and will BSOD quite randomly/quickly without stress testing too and I've set CPU input voltage to 1.9v currently. The Input and cache voltage is more worrisome, the vcore isn't worrying (seems pretty low) and temps more than fine ~65C without AVX and ~75C (hottest core, the rest are like 5C lower) with Prime95 and AVX. Phanteks dual fan cooler + CL Liquid Pro for those who wonders, pretty impressed by the cooling capabilities but the cooler costs almost the same as entry lvl WC kits so it better be. :p
Been out of the OC hobby for 3 years, feels like it's changed so much when UEFI appeared and now you can just flash BIOS with a click of a button in UEFI directly from the Internet lol.
EDIT: Seems stable at:
4.5GHz
Vcore: 1.21v
Cache: 1.185v
Input: 1.92v
Seems good enough for me for a start, maybe I push for higher, maybe not, already quite satisfied with that as I always used to get very poor chips in the past
2400 C9's 4x4gb BFR double sided by the fella ure replying.. running 1t on m6e.
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2833263/+434
but i am myself curious how he did it cause been trying to do the same with his same ram the whole afternoon. 2t no issue. 1t tons.
take that back found the issue. running 2.4k 4x4gb 9-11-10-28 no issue. priming the whole thing with memtest.
Uh oh... C2 version?Quote:
Maybe distributor wait for the C2 version..
Is 2800 8gb kit double sided?? Pertaining to his question on 2800 1t issue on ocf. Cause he did 1t on 4sticks n even 3k woth prime on 1t on m6e.
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2845875/5+
But bro, the same kit did 1T easily on M5E without too much overvolting.

l0ud_sil3nc3!! timing is so good!!!
hopes that i have time to bench something ..... but lots issues on hand to solve ~_~
try setting XMP profile option enabled even if you set manually the timings
also change
twrrd to 24
tcke to 5
trfc 100
trdrd_dd 6
trrd 6
tfaw 27
so its same as your asus timings
So far is this the best Z87 board for memory OC?
I bent 10 bells of poop out of my bios trying to catch Splave the other day to the point my board would not pass more than a few turns of 32m with any ram at any speed. Not sure its exactly the done thing but I re flashed & hit cmos clear then updated mei again then cmos clear. I did this twice then backed up bios a - b booted & rebooted a couple times & all is well again.... might be worth a go if you cant get anything to run
Is there another way to flash BIOS in DOS mode or sth like that?
Instant flash freezes during searching BIOS file on USB stick, ... no keyboard actions are possible, but mouse is working... no chance to flash BIOS from 1.31A...
Try to use another stick ;) or usb port.
Of course this was the first I tested... second BIOS, another port, another stick, another file system...
Search found the Z87MOCF1.42 file and freezes with that screen... mouse is working and clock in the right corner keeps running... of course after CMOS clear, no OC, no special settings, nothing special...
http://abload.de/img/fotoazsdn.jpg
Also without USB stick, after applying to "Instant Flash" the system freezes with "Searching...." writing instead of BIOS file name... strange :(
What type it's the stick? USB 2.0 or 3.0?
Better use 2.0, 3.0 might have bug from the chipset...
And use in a USB 2.0 port.
USB2.0 stick used in a 2.0 port ;)
DOS Tool with 1.40 BIOS is working...
It seems system freezes during searching through BIOS files. Used the third stick with a lot of files on it and it starts searching and stops with the first BIOS file it founds.
Maybe there's the problem :(
Ok... now go on with 1.40 from website.
Maybe, Nick, can you build me a DOS Tool with the actual BIOS? :help:
If using USB keyboard and mouse try unplugging mouse before you boot while you are trying to flash.
This issue happen to me also with kingston 64GB usb stick before .
after i format my USB stick again , then everything is working .
OK i will update a dos tool later .... but i think it is the problem by USB format ..and please put bios file only and try again ...
good timing bro ...will be getting some LN on the way back from work ..:yepp:
P.S. was going to freeze Corsair but now I might do HYKO lol, great stuff man

Do you mind my asking the batch? I'm wondering if it's a Costa chip, or if you just finally got your hands on a good Malay chip. :)
My best on MFR at 5GHz
btw. please don't serious to much for my sub-timing with value at 1 now :D i'll make sure later is it real or bug

One of these boards suddenly showed up in stock at my local Micro Center, I am now a proud owner of a Z87 OC Formula!
Any tips for clocking 4x4GB or 4x8GB DIMMs on this board higher than 2800? I seem to get code 55 every time but can't figure out what timing is too tight (profiles don't help here).

What set man? I go highest at 125 strap

I actually did set 2T manually. I may have to go back and look at screenshots from successful 2933+ runs with these kits on the Gigabyte Z87 OC Force and look at the timings that were set.
Aaand...today my Patriots decided they wanted to play nice. Absolutely no changes at all to the settings that weren't working last night.

^haswell is a strange beast man, im all over the place on samsung lol sometimes fast sometimes slow
set boot cycle to 3 ,sometimes it takes 4~5 times (55) and smooth sailing after that :yepp:
A3-hit reset
D9-wait
- semi-tight timings are better on some IC's then semi- loose
-start with tREFI high ,I found refresh intervals to be somehow to tight on some of the profiles
managed to get my PSC to run 1200 6-11-7, but can't get 7-11-7 or 8-11-x to work with exact same settings
http://abload.de/img/1200c6_182v_32m_z87asejaqd.png
Did you leave trdwr set of timings auto?If manual the tighter tcl and twcl get,the tighter you can go on those and i experienced problems when not setting those 3 trdwr accordingly...
trefi higher means tighter actually,in other means you get little boost setting in higher than default 7936
Subs are so tight on this board! It makes it really hard to do high clocks with double-sided MFR. Just compare the settings from the 2933 preset to what passed 32M on the Gigabyte board.

I've been trying to replicate the settings from the Gigabyte but it seems to make things more unstable. Any tips? Brute voltage isn't working, these don't like much more than 1.8v.
Z87 OC formula series tool update
Formula drive update to 1.0.61.3 , it is including lite version and full version inside .
1. Fix dram voltage issue when u set higher than 1.85
2. Fix cache ratio issue

thank you nick i was wondering what was wrong with vmem but thought it was just me chopped os...
What ram (ICs) on your try Splave ?
I tried alot on MFR sometime 1 better over 4 but from average i think it not different between 1 to 4 for third
however for SAMSUNG ic i have tried with 1 and not easy to boot or not boot and for CFR if setting 1 on third
it will lost for Mem BW
So i think value 1 on third have some real value for MFR like tWRWRDR/tWRWRDD cause some time i saw
it by auto which 1 or 3 value from many time i tried
btw. i will try more and will update about this it real or not for value 1 on third ;)
Timings for tertiary side vary._dd timings have impact when all 4 slots are populated,if you have only 1 stick/dimm u can set 1-7 whatever, performance is ~same,if you run 2 sticks/channel for high speed(2600+) values of 6-7 are needed)i need 6 for both samsungs and psc otherwise no boot)._dr timings reffer to single rank/dual rank,e.g single sided memory or dual-sided,if you are running single-sided sticks like 4GB MFR then 1-7 performance not make a difference, when benching double-sided memory 4 is optimal.
Here are the RTLs from the OC Formula.
