What I want to see is a 20,000RAC..If possible it will take a LONG time to get there but we all need to have out\r goals! :D

Wow I can't believe the points my 2600K is racking up these days.RAC of 8298 ! I guess it like's doing CMD wu's.:D It doesn't hurt that its running at 5008 mhz either.
Mine too has been crunching at 5.0Ghz for ~3 months now. cores are 64-68°. No issues whatsoever.
I had to stop temporarily, but expect to return to the list soon.
Latest snapshot :chicken:
I need a few more days for RAC to catch on my 980X but I'll be back in soon :-)
After being offline last week for a couple of days with a component failure I'm finally just starting to see my RAC inch back up. Hopefully can get each system back near 7000 again....
Going sooooo slow though
Both rigs are running smoothly now, added my dualie and updated my 990 which was down for 2 weeks for a failed SSD and motherboard change......
Boy you got that right..Almost 100F here at 11:27am..WCG is off till tonight when the temps drop.
Between the electrical cost of running 3 AC's and the machines pulling a constant 1200W but the biggest issue is the heat dump into the upstairs of the Beast.
With it off I can maintain 84-85F here, with it on the best I can do is 89F in the house and that is too frigging hot for me.
Once we get out of summer I'm going for that 20,000RAC..:D
You guys all seem to have heat, whilst here we have had weeks of rain. It is still warm only (17° C) , but when it does dry out I will need a machete and pith helmet to fix the garden.
Another week should see the 3770K overtake the 2600K....or will it? There is so little difference between the two on most projects that the only gain is in power use....and that too is not huge.
Dave, Buy a MOAF! It could move around 8,000 cubic meters of air an hour out of the house.... Just don't close the other windows and doors or it will suck the roof in :D
If you are not convinced about bringing in warm air from outside....think of the wind chill factor.
Well my 2600K is out of the running. Harddrive crash screwed up my hostid's RPC and I can no longer report to its hostid. I am retiring the machine because of it. Well it will still be my main gaming rig but it will no longer run WCG. You can remove it from the list (its at the bottom).
Stupid WCG and not supporting BOINC's merge profile feature. Piss me off.
My 2600K windows crashed..... running temporary for now but will move it to linux soon. That is it for current machine stats
Pussies!!! http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/1184/103ym.png

99F inside right now. Unfortunately I only looked at my checking account balance and not the weather report before lighting off all my rigs. :(
I had another post all ready to go with details and temps of my rigs. Lost the data in another search. :( Core temps range from 65C on 2600s with Trues to 80-85C on water-cooled and air cooled IB3770Ks @ 4.5- 4.7 :(
Damn that's hot! :S
'It's not what you've got, but what you do with it' :hm:
Not at the top of the list. But at the moment I have the top spot for a 2600k and for the 3770 non k.:yepp:
That is so nice about stats. If you look long enough, you can always some way to be on a top spot. ;)
It is worth paying attention to which project works best for points on each machine (take a day or two's results into a spreadsheet and with a little work and a quick sort everything becomes very clear.
My change to Linux has made a difference to these results too not to mention points!!
As I will not be in the chart I wanted to show what I mean here for others to see just how big the differences can be once you optimise.
http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/9018/2600kppdlinux.jpg
Working on this for 2 weeks now... what do you make of the 7 day average?? :D
Of note too is the Floating point and Integer speeds increase in Linux ..... These well outstrip the 3770K now at equal speeds (remember this is running 4.7 with the only difference being Motherboards)
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/3977/olympictank.gif Shooting for the top 4 core 8 thread machine on WCG
Oh but you are, ranked 39 :yepp:Quote:
As I will not be in the chart
The days when Linux did more work but got less credit are history
Last week sure SAM but I hopped over to POC for a while to help Plan_B try and start another team there.
Meanwhile these results (well the info really) can help the guys here and I can't be on the chart here any more can I ;)
Feels like my 2x systems are contributing nothing :'(
The little contributions count just as much as the guys that can run many rigs besides if you want to join the ranks of the 5000pts per day rigs then all it takes is an i7 920 or 2600K and a bit of an overclock :D
Seriously though, we all do what we can ....some a little, some a lot, but every WU counts
It's going to take a while but I'll post my 980X as soon as it's RAC climbs a bit more
getting close at 4852 RAC
http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?p...hostid=2144055
I should be in after the WCG glitch gets straightened out
<edit> I just entered that host and will see what I can do to increase RAC!!!<edit>
Hmmmm. I think I see signs of some optimising going on in this chart.
SAM - my RAC is going to plummet as I am helping out an other team member obtain a sapphire badge as the CFSW project winds down so you can drop hostID= 2144055 and I'll sign up again once I get back to crunching on my own account.
Thanks for keeping this all updated for us,
Steve
and it's only using 10 threads :ROTF:
If you check boincstats you will find that we (the team) in our top hosts database we have the top single 12 thread, the top single 8 thread and 6 out of the 8 single processor rigs that are found in the top 100 producing rigs by RAC list
HMMM..Getting there! :D
Attachment 130476
Will hold off updating until the gpu dust settles. Looks like the 5000 point minimum may have to be increased to 50000+
ya this will be interesting. a 990x with no gpu could be outclassed by a q6600 running 4 7990s :O
Do I have to add GPU manually or will that info be taken from the stat sites when you update?
Latest SC week stats added :yepp:
So, shall we resurrect this thread?
You already did... Necromancer
I am not sure about the "WE" bit but you might consider asking Sam nicely.
Not sure either how much work went into this so don't be offended if he declines ;)
No plans to revive this at present :shakes:
i'll look into it and if i can somehow automate this stuff
well i can see why you stopped updating this
that 300M xml file is not fun at all
Alpha version
should have every host over 5k+ that is not hidden and belongs to XS
still have a lot to do but it should be working now
http://goo.gl/Ze6RLe
Looking good.
You have been getting some sweet numbers from that 8 core
thanks, it's 4 core actually, boinc has a really weird(inconsistent) way to report cores/threads
Nicely done
Thanks.
And I see I need to get my points up a little. I had slowed my 2600k a little to save some energie, but got it back up to 4500 MHz. Should be good to get back onto the list.
also how to find out your host id
on linux
(/var/lib/boinc-client is where your boinc configs areCode:egrep -i 'project_name|hostid' /var/lib/boinc-client/client_state.xml
on windows open c:\program data\BOINC\client_state.xml
use ctrl+f to find World community grid
then ctrl + f hostid
boinc tasks:
go to projects tab
right click world community grid -> properties
find the part where it says computer id
Hahahahahhaaa...
My oldtimer in top 20. In team XS :D
You guys....work harder.
Just found your post, Evantaur. I'd add my thanks to the list, but the link gives me a page load error just now.
Looks like I'd better break out those tubes of Coollaboratory Liquid Pro & Ultra that I bought a while back, and apply to my 2 3770Ks.
Any 4770Ks in the stats yet? It will be interesting to compare output/clock speed for the 4770K vs 3770K (vs 2600K).
And if there's an Android on there, he's lying
The link works just fine for me at the moment.
And my 2600k and 3770 (non K) should be on there is a few days.
you can try http://nikita.tnnet.fi/~evntr/xs/
Thanks ET, but same problem. I actually saw that the URL you posted before redirects to there.
I found a workaround though.
A number of websites, including Skype, hate me.
I think it's because they insist on learning where I'm located geographically, and they use one or more brain-damaged geoip services that think I'm in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, or at the geographical centre of the North Amerikan continent, or whatever. My ISP is not hidden, and if they took the trouble to look up where that ISP provides services, they'd see where I am. And some geoip providers see me OK anyway, eg http://www.geoipview.com/ .
tnnet.fi would appear to be one of those sites that hate me. So why do they want to keep track of me (and you!). Maybe Edward Snowden could enlighten us?
Anyway, I just called in from Algiers, no problems. No problems calling from the peaceful Middle East!
4 of my 5 machines are on your list ("Rickjb") - near the bottom, but they're there.
And hopefully they'll be there all summer, crunching away at the same speeds in my non-airconditioned house, even if the official temp down by the cool breezy harbour heads north of 45 deg C like it did last year. (Meaning: so why do some Team XS-WCG members stop crunching over summer? Yeh, some have rigs that are so far overclocked that they'd melt in summer. If they back off the speed a little and the Vcore a lot, they could keep em crunching all year. It takes a very big extra overclock to make up for a couple of months offline)
Oh - so how did I do a quick teleport from Sydney to Algiers? TOR Browser
history is halfway there, you can now browse old results, also fixed some bugs that made site look like a slice of pizza on IE (if someone is actually using it)
- fixed some bugs
- added team info
- cleaned up a little
history page is next
thinking about doing the same for our other projects, like gpugrid and einstein@home and maybe milkyway@home
ooh, I like this page! :D
didn't expect to see this:
evantaur 1123048 1155 BS FDC Linux Linux AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1100T Processor
:cheer:
The Lonely AMD :ROTF:
:p:
I had a 6h DT due to powergrid maintenance.
Was up there on 14th place before that though..
My 3770 is now on Linux. Lets see if that will get it back it to the 5000+.
we're talking RAC here. On a "new" Linux machine that will take longer than Sunday
It may take even a little longer. There is still some work on the Win7 install that I will have to finish.
tell me if the history page is bugging out, just added a line chart there
See the chart fine not sure if you intend me to be able to go back beyond the 10th yet ....if so, can't.
EDIT: just noticed chart shows November
http://www.lakecityquietpills.com/ph...9938409189.png
zooming to 1 day or 5 days is good but 1 month is as above
it seems to be bugged on Google's end...
https://code.google.com/p/google-vis...detail?id=1058
i think their months starts from 0 and ends to 11, if not it'll be bugged again when we hit January, anyways should be fixed now
there's no data before 10th, that's when i added team stats :)
Ah OK. I thought that the calender was indicating a start date of the 5th due to the bold print.
Nice work my friend.
Updated OP to point to Evantaurs site

Thanks for providing a revamped XS WCG top 40 chart. As stated bu OC, if you click on days prior to the 10th, for instance the 5th, you will get a top 40 chart for that day. Somehow there seem to be pre-10th data in your database.
You may wish to mod the Y axis point ratio of your graph to smoothen the peaks and valleys for relatively small total team point changes. Also, would it be possible to have and option to show all active XS WCG members instead of only the top 40.
Thanks again for producing a very useful tool,
Jean-Guy
The i7-3770 isn't quite there yet, but the i7-2600k that I switched to Linux one day later made it already. Should be on the list tomorrow.
I love the amount of work Linux does and the points it's getting. :)
And the i7-4770k is getting close to after only 6 days.
Now I just hope the new projects that we should get this fall will do just as good on Linux.
Rob_B rank 29
Evantaur,
What brand of Linux are you running with your 4770K & 3770k CPUs? Also can you provide the version and the edition if applicable?
Thanks,
Jean-Guy
