do you find that your slot 1 and 3 clock better than slots 2 and 4??
do you find that your slot 1 and 3 clock better than slots 2 and 4??
did a run with a better OS, it seems wazza will play less and less importance with 32M, it will be more about memory/cpu clocks etc now
http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/6...aphsot0003.png
Great run....
Did some experimenting on the board and the ram....
http://i402.photobucket.com/albums/p...Run2_edit2.png
Subs considerably loose for now (exactly what you see in aida64 is whats set ). Yes on air, cool air but air as in no i'm not outside in winter or have a window open.........
Very weak waza ;)
I have a migraine, try to tune them out later after a nap and some advil.
looks like everybody is getting 6min 32s easy now - don't have time for benching due to business trips next 2 weeks but this makes me wanting to re-test :p:
Loosing 2 or 3s against the best guys I am fine with that but beeing beaten by 5s+ from everybody is a shame :rotf:
all the 32s times are with a jeeeegabyte :p: and 1067 7-7-7-x
No luck really with subs at 2200+.
I can pull Twcl into 6 but it's a 50/50 it will pass 32m once you throw a waza in.
Trrd did not like to be touched at all.
Twr could only be pulled into 10.
TRFC was ok for 56.
All in all it really wasn't worth it however, maybe at 2200 flat you can pull it in more but that wasn't putting me anywere near 5 gig so didn't bother for now.
Really wish I knew about the "no memory protect" bs...
Here's my under 6min with new chip.

Just a quick run.. Im doing 3d LN2 tonight..
jody is kicking your ass hard dude, 50MHz lower :D
Like I said a quick run... punk arse..... you blind.... :)
i bet charles will chime in now and kick your ass the same with a quick run and call you a noob
oh and he will use tight B2B settings of course LMAO
There is a conspiracy, Intel is out to piss off all the ln2 guys with sandy biatch..... lol.....
Yea but they will have a surprise about the huge RMA numbers. Everybody will fry their 5.2-5.3GHz Sandy Ballz to get a better one :D
shhhh.... don't tell anybody.... lol
I hate my life rofl 2 more chips 5.28 max 32m so far
yeah your screenshot sucks steponz... :p:
they are about the same i would have to say...but 1 and 3 just seemed to be better for me yesterday before i insulated, so i stuck with them.
last night i thought perhaps the CPU was causing the issues, but i am back up today with no issues at all. straight to 5.5GHz at 1.50 2133 7-7-6. so i guess that is a good thing, but it means this board did not like cold memory...or it was simply this kit of memory being bytches sub-zero 7-7-6 like they were on X58.
either way, it's a bit dissapointing :(
My efforts for the evening. Pushing this kit of bbse to the limit. Could never pass 5.7 32m, today I could.
http://images.hardwarecanucks.com/im.../OC/32m-18.png
do you guys use the pi.dat tweak?
Jody got a problem with me there are better ways and places to discuss it. I'm very sorry you take offense in me thinking I will be a second or so slower than you.........
On topic.
Decided to play with some PSC.
included settings, have fun.
Nice runs there chew*
I will try this UD7
C'mon guys...is all for fun:D
Updated the ss, didn't realize it sucked so bad...

Wasn't the best run, literally booted up ran waza with what I was using before.. and bam....
Chip is degraded after running 3d... Wasn't that great of a chip really, gave me a decent 01 and 03 score.. Will get another couple chips within the week.
Yeah.. 1.65vcore on TEC chilled water.. load was 17C on block.. Chip is definitely degraded..Still is good under 5.4ghz.. but anything over.. not so good...
01 killed my other chip.... but that chip had 3 cores in the grave from when I started.... lol... I want a 5.8 chip anyway...
5,4 now, what was it before?
seriously there was nothing offending in that post, just a little self-ironic touch which I personally gave a little smile. take it easy man!
don't destroy the harmony in this thread please :) (I am usually not saying something to personal things people seem to have between each other but as I started that topic and love how it turned out I felt like I had to say something - please don't put me on your "badboys list" :p: :D )
thanks for sharing! got some screens of my C43 bios also but need to get home first...4 days business trip, 3 days gf on week-end, monday business trip again...sometimes life is busy and sucks :p:
I also seem to have degraded my best chip - did 5589 at its best times but now it can hardly run 5.5 on air anymore (which was easy at the beginning). sended it to a friend for a session and he managed 5.55 under ln2 but didn't came close to 5580. when he first tried water 5.4 was all he got  looks like past 1.62-1.64V the degrading issues start.
Been benching my 2nd best chip a longer term under air just around 1.55-1.57 and he seems to be fine with it even at high temps (60+ but sub 70).
no I only edit the records.dat for having nice times in the overview when starting pi
Someone want to borrow mine and kill it for me?
I fail at killing my retail :shakes:
If you find a 5.8GHz version sure, LMK :p:
Just thinking out loud here (without having a clue as usual :p: ): there seems to be chips we can call "survivors" and there are "pussies" - just like with GT...some could take 1.5V QPI easy, some died, some could take 1.85Vdimm, some died - as seen before on small production process chips tend to be weaker or stronger. There will be no certain voltages we can really say "it will die or not". There are "safe" voltages e.g. below 1.575V every chip can take without big trouble but past a certain border it is like with overclocking itself - some chips have it, some chips not ;)
€dit: but 1.6 vccsa - damn that does sounds strange somehow your chip is still alive :D must be a golden-voltage-survivor - too bad it isn't a golden clocker ;)
first experience with 2600K - auto timings for now
http://img.i4memory.info/reviewimage...7A-UD7_012.jpg
5.0Ghz 1.390v
http://fileshosts.com/intel2011/giga...6m43s516ms.png
ive tried three chips and none of them could get into windows at such low vcore eeek, how do you always find these chips
next thing you'll tell me it benches at 5.5Ghz
make sure you disable No memory execute for 32M Pi benching btw as Jody figured out what was causing him to slow down so much over mine and cheapseat's results.
welcome to the show eva :)
God you gigabyte bastards are killin it lol!
Yeah but a lot of guys apply a bunch of voltage right outta the box ;) and shock them into bench-mode...after that it doesn't seem like they run as well on lower vcore. That's the only thing I've seen change on my 2600 after lots of voltage, it won't POST occasionally on BIOS defaults.
an old warrior joining the game - great!
without pll overvoltage option the chips seem to need lower vcore as I found out during my first testings (don't look at the time, that was before xmas :p: )
5 GHZ 32m @ 1.33V
I need to finally get out my gigabyte-fanboyism I had with DS3P and K8NXP-SLI back in the days - ordering a board as soon as I have some private time again I think.
Mr. Splave - yes gigabyte SB boards seem to be getting some good results.
My UD5 is still doing the multi boot on-off dance all the time though - I suppose oscillating between 1.1 and 1.66 cpuv ~30x in an hour doesn't help.
Should probably try to pick up a backup board. :shakes:
Funny thing is my degraded chip can do 1.39 5ghz.... Can't do 3D over 5.4... when it used to do @5.6... Very odd chip..
Chew if you wanna kill your 2500K just ship more than 1.5 VCCIO in it,it surely is enough. If it survives that, then i think you have a survivor, much better than that guy at Discovery Channel :D
Little update ....
Vqpi 1.14v Vdim 1.8v
http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/4...632078full.jpg
anyone else have this problem...I can bench 32m all day 10x back to back to back but as soon as I try to wazza within the first or second cut and paste BSOD 000000x9c :X
2133 to 1866 didnt solve it so maybe its a subtiming is too tight.
^ did you try in via ocxspitweaker
yeah regular will pass, CDT fails within 5 seconds of starting pi tweaker
Put your subs on auto and try again. If it works set 1 at a time until you know what is causing it.
try some old school waza. its just a file copy.
Beat on this system one more time and sucked the last bit of effec out of this 2500K, I can only hope cache is playing a small role here or the fact that i'm using a full SP3 install with no services shut off.
lol i wish - seem got another cpu meant for 24/7 low volts but seems got a 52x multi wall right now :(
thanks Splave and SoF..
lol
still early days while i figure out the ins and outs of memory clocking on P67 platform
Tested a pair of super talent 2200c8 hypers don't like 1T at 2133mhz 8-8-8-24 only 2T for 32M pi. Still have lots of hypers to try and see how it goes :D
Kick some ass george, you always do
didn't heard of that but just a stupid thought: are you running high bclk? isn't bclk overclocking the entire system-components including sata ports? maybe they don't like it beeing pushed hard? tried using different sata ports (as this is what waaza stresses) or another theory: you are having the cougar point sata issues - tried the 6G ports?
sounds promising
This one's for you dino :p:
Gonna need more than a 5 gig chip to play with the top 10 boys in a "memory" benchmark
hahah that is SICK dude. If you had a 5.6 chip that would be 5K LOL j/k
i pwms you noob with my beer tweak lol
http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/7026/img7678wl.jpg
Here is my run on el-cheapo msi with the most ugly bios in the sandy-world :p: Most of the timings are maxed now and one step lower will crash 32m. Already needed some more vdimm for getting trfc at least a bit lower...1.72V or so instead of 1.65 I think.
http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/439...ngs6min382.jpg
http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/8426/msi6min382s.jpg
PS: that gay backround is because it is mandatory in the contest - I hate it and remove it always right after the screenshot :p:
I installed both....
what a strange platform. I think eva is on to something with the "Bclk holes"
my chip wont boot 56x100 at any voltage but it boots and benches at 56x100.1
Going form bios MIT 100.2 is like 100.05, 100.5 = 100.34, 100.6 = 100.43,
100.2

my chip hates cold, -38c wont boot windows. waste of single stage powah
http://i.imgur.com/V93a3.jpg
Best I could do without hyper, not too bad I think :) took alot of work. Any tigher on ram wont boot
wow very nice eff
just had a guess here: the mem remapping feature ppl talk about - might that be also the key to the problem some boards loose in 01 against jeeehhgaballs?
sub 6 bar is about to get raised ;)
Looks like my calculations were off, must be that my 2500K is really less effec.
Msimax just has one thing to say.
Nice work guys!
overall max with chip is less with hypers installed
Sorry for going ot but I Just finished reading this thread front to back as I wasn't paying proper attention & chuckled at this "K8NXP-SLI back in the days" I still have one been running proper 24/7 at work @ 2.8GHz for 6 years!!! ffffin good board.
nice chew but do some 5Ghz too biatch
hey MSImax forgot his Tide beerkeg :D.
and who's the lucky lady LMAO

I don't think he will let me 32m his chip anymore after the second core went kinda kaput after a couple runs........thus why we used 3 which was slower :ROTF:
sub 6 was doable at sub 5500 on 2nd core if i had got the system dialed in before i flaked out that cores imc.
hahaha nice guys:up::up::D
wow imageshack police banned my Msimax image
And a 5G run.. with wrong CPUZ screenshot:rolleyes:. Any way mem timmings 7-7-6-20
