Still haven't received my red dye... :(
Was mine the one that broke in the post or something?
Ordered on Jan 1, 2010
Takes a while to arrive.
So have patience..
But it will be well worth it.
I still got enough from my sample for probably 15-20 reflushes.
ButtSprinkles whats your order no. even though you orderd on the first chances are it wasnt sent till the 2nd and with the adverse wather condiction over here it may take a little longer. Normal delivery is 7 to 10 working days to USA i cannot make it any faster as this is the only option i have at our post office.
The only Dye 2ml that will do lots of loops is the clear blue as in loads the rest of the 2ml do upto 5 depending on the ammount used.
as for dark blue i do have a dark blue but its still not out of testing (im leaving all dark colours for 1 year in total for testing). youll have to wait if you would like a real dark blue sorry..
and yes i can ship to russia as long as its not illgal to ship there. I know brazil its illgal to ship dyes to. Ill get a price put up for Russia tommorw for post and packing.
Please dont forget you can review on the site as well so any one thats has receved a syes if you get the cahnce could you write a little review on the dye you got it would help alot.
Im filling some orders for some shops as well now who have placed orders.
Im still waiting on my dye and i placed an order on Dec. 30th. Hopefully it will be here anytime soon.
I presume you guy are in the USA as belgum , France , Germany, all receved theres all ready.
Ill have to put up a warning about delivery times i think to the USA.
Cheking My recepts . all orders on the 31 dec 2009 were sent via royal mail air mail letters at a cost of £2.70 each and some were sent to USA on 2nd Jan 2010 again the same price. and im only charging £2.50 for post and packing lol. hahahaha
Guys at the time airoplanes were grounded in the UK from many majour air ports due to the adverse weather condictions so this maybe why they are late ill double check in the monring but this could be the reason why. A bit of snow seems to stop UK dead.
Thought i might throw this in to the mix a little what do you guys think of Silver Antimicrobial Tubing. I might order some in and start selling this as well as you will not need a kill coil or any sort of anti bactrial liquid. Literly you just pour in you water and go.
I double checked with factory and the temps it can handle are above the stated range upto 95°CQuote:
Characteristics: Silver ion antimicrobial coating inhibits microorganism growth. Not temperature sensitive. Long life, chemically resistant, nontoxic. Translucent silver.
Certification: NSF Standard 51, FDA approved for food contact.
Temperature range: –47 to 160°F (–44 to 71°C)
The only problem is price but again in keeping with the idear behind the dyes that it will cost effective.
This will reduce you chem balance.
mlwood order no. is 100101-210735-3449
that silver stuff seems pretty cool, yeah. but doesn't tygon already do something like that?
yeh its tygon im going to be ordering some in but its not cheap but 1/2 meter in any look is better than a kill coil or biocide.
Ive checked and double checked you order it has gone out on the date stated 02 Jan 2010.
The stated time by royal mail say 7 to 14 days but it normaly only takes 7 days how ever the way the waether is over here i would have still thought you would have it now as its 12 days since it was sent.
Give it till the week end and if nothing has come let me know and ill resend the order on monday and no cost to your self.
full specs of tubing here (pricing subject to change)
I just got the package. Its all safe and sound now i gotta wait for my new blocks to come in so i can flush, and set a new loop up!
Due to one of the vials smashing in the post i have new 5ml dropper bottles in there place how ever due to the bottles being more expensive the price has had to do up a little. by 51p ill need to allso check post and packing as here in the uk its not the wights so much but allso the width of the letter being sent.
Allso with this the price of the new 10ml bottles has come down as i manged to get the price down on the 10ml bottles.
Due to me only just starting up these changes will happen and hopefully every thing is sorted now.
ATM im still running at a loss and dont expect to recover any of this and dont care tbh.

Allso if any one runs a web site and would like to review the dyes please let me know ill be happy to send out sample's after looking at you site. :)
Allright I received my UV clear and blue dyes from mlwood safely without any accidents ^^. Cant test in the loop yet but I couldnt resist testing them a bit. Here are my results.
Testing 0,15l (150ml) of distilled water in a normal drinking glass.
0 drops of Mayhem's blue dye

If rougly counted how much it would take to make 1 litre of coolant with those colors.
1 litre of "1 drop" water = 6,5 drops
2 litre of "2 drops" water = 13 drops
3 litre of "3 drops" water = 19,5 drops
No matter how you think, that 19,5 drops would seem a bit extreme since the instructions on the website say "max 5 drops per litre". Mlwood, is the blue really just that light or is there something funny with my test?
Tbh, the colors with 2 and 3 drops are around the area what I'd like my liquid to look like but both have over 2x the amount of dye your instructions suggest.
just placed my order for UV blue, blue and UV green...
Can't wait...
Thanks for pix elpy, more please. Will certainly share some when my sample arrives.
You think that you've got to use more than you should have to use.
I've got to use 25 drops in 500ml to have a good green color and a light glow with my 2 cold cathode UV lights. I'm currently using 40 drops and still don't have the glow I would like it to be.
The color is good enough for me but the UV glow is to weak if you know that my cable sleeves glow like bright lights and the white paper next to my computer glows and also my ceiling.
Hi there the blue is a light blue due to its nature the dark blue should be out of test with in the next week or so. I had to test the dark blue for build up on metal for longer as i what to make shure it has no adverse effects. You will be fine upto 3 mls per ltr of the light blue. I can send you out a new sample of the dark blue for you to compaire against in in the next week if you remind me.
Seemingly as im passing these dyes through the new filter system i do seem to be losing some of the orignal colour i will get this sorted.
Atm the filter is 4 pass (meaning 4 filters) ill drop it down to two and check results my self to see how they go.
The green UV is the weekest dye out of them all dye to its nature but again im going to combat this problem as weve talked about agray buy adding more lumance wich is comming from china.
If any one is not happy with there order just let me know and ill refund or replace. New dyes will be comming out of test (stronger coulours over the weeks) just need to make sure there perfect before i sell them. I dont what any one comming back saying OMG youve killed my system :) ... Allso will check my filtering process as well.
from left to right 1 drop , 2 drops , 3 drops
http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/892/008tr.jpg
http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/9334/007xp.jpg
You may understand why im letting the test run longer as even 1 drop is mental. Allso a note will be that these are that dark the blue UV if added may now show up that well.
1/2 drop of blue 2 (darker Blue) , 2 drop of UV clear Blue.
Under UV light.
Just taken
http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/6261/009iif.jpg
I do allso have under test Blue 3 wich is even stronger but that will be a while before its shown.
The Green as well (none UV green) i have wich is under test is just as strong.
going to add i now bought a real black light becuase i blew my cold cathods up. So the results under UV may not be the same.
Allso recommend spec from the maker is this ->
250g treats between 5,000 - 25,000 litres of water.
I put 250g into 2 ltr's of fluid.
Something like the glow with your UV Blue is what I would like with my UV Green dye. That's the glow I'm talking about.
With 25 drops (1ml) and 500ml distilled water the color is strong enough for me. It just needs more glow with UV light and I hope you can do that when your UV dye arrives from China.
. Now thats dark! Looks like black to my eyes.
So if you will switch the 4-pass system to 2-pass next week, would this mean that in theory the light blue should be a bit stronger as well? If so, I would have great interest to test both the darker blue and the 2-pass light blue as well. By then I will also have a UV cathode as well so I can test both blue's with UV. I'll have to set up my camera a bit better then as well.
I think with the light blue i may just let that sell off what i have and switch to dark blue. I need to check what the dark colours looks like after its been though the filters.
Hey, mlwood, I got the dye. And well... I like it. I believe you have a repeat customer now. :D

Casualty of war. :P
http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/4356/casualtyofwar.jpg
ButtSprinkles looking good mate. Like it. might have to start adding gloves with these dyes. dont worry i look like that all the time. it comes off after a day or so.
Oky sticking the what i whated to do to the shop im now going to add new products that are being imported direct from china.
I soon start selling Pigments and mainly Glow in the dark ones.
Pic Below . these were charged for 1 min under UV light and will last upto 5 hours (personly about 1 hour with a good glow)
http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/7784/006ez.jpg
The powders Cannot be used in water cooling set ups But are mainly for adding to varnish, paints, glues, plastics and kids love it on there face so that you can now go a little more mental on you painting skills.
All you simply do if add the pigments to the fluid you would like and then paint it on. once dyed and you may need to do a second coat to get a real good effect.
The Glow can be charged with UV light (words best) or normal light.
this is the new darker BLue.
1 drop Only out of a 5ml bottle direct into a 1 Ltr bottle then poured into the glass.
This give a lovly blue effect i personly wold not use more than 1 drop per 1 ltr. so your best off pre mixing this before hand as i can honisly say this is the most powfull dye i have ever made.
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/992/007ly.jpg
Once my supplyer gets the correct codes that he forgot to put down this will be the new blue going up on site.
Any one who has bought blue in the past and would like the stronger blue as a replacement just let me know once its up for sale and ill send you a 2ml vial of it (trust me 2mls is way more than enough).
I like this new blue  Waiting until it is available and purchasing!
Here are some pics with the UV Green dye.

http://i431.photobucket.com/albums/q...y/dsc_0057.jpg
It's damned hard to take some good quality pictures with low light but it's good enough to show something. As you can see not much glow from the dye but the green color is really good.
that UV green looks a little diluted. i wonder how 2 drops of this UV green dye and maybe 1 or 2 more drops of that Swiftech HydrX UV reactive dye do? hum..... very nice dark green maybe and a nice bright green under UV light?
HydrX has more blue in the green while Mayhem's has more yellow in the green.
For me the color is just perfect it's almost exactly the same color like the UV active green rear fan.
I need UV Green dye that gives a nice glow than I can ask someone I know to take some good quality pictures. My camera isn't good enough to take pictures with low light.
Guys i would like to piont out some thing that some one is trying to pull me down over.
When i first started doing a pre mix i handed over quite a few samples to gilgamesh of gilgamesh reviews and of overclockerstech.
The samples were just that pre production samples and there for the never hit the public market. A few problems were found in that the inhibitor iw as useing went cloudy. So they have never been sold to the public for that reason.
How ever gilgamesh has decided that all the dyes are a Joke and to try and slander me wich is quite funny as the real reason behind it was that he wanted exculsive rights to all the dyes and wanted to review them all how ever he hasnt been given that and never will. Allso to top it off his test was to pour the dyes into a small glass and hold it upto a UV light and say hmm thats nice.
So to prove a point some of you have been running the dyes a while and if you are still running them please could you post pics. Just for proff that gilgamesh is full of :banana::banana::banana: basicly. I can do it my self but its best some one independant of me does it...
and because i dont hide any thing this is the direct link -> http://overclockerstech.com/forums/s...1016#post11016
I have nothing to hide and i do address any problem found pritty fast. shame some ppl try to big up there own feeble names with 1/2 truths.
I wouldn't worry too much, you aren't getting a big audience at those sites...
Ordered some UV Green myself the other day, hopefully it glows better in my loop than the last one pictured.
people are haveing varing results with the green how ever like i say if you not happy i will do a full refund and im working on a better soloction to this problem. Ive orderd some new UV green to try and boost the UV aspect of the colour.
I would say the green and blue have both been the hardest dyes to get right but hopefully the blue will be sorted with in the next few days and the green with in the next week or two once the new UV aspest has arrived from USA and China.
if people would like the green that has not passed through the filtering system i can supply this how ever you will find that when you drop it into the system there will still be what looks like powder drops floating down. this will mix in properly to the system but thats why it goes through the filtering stage to remove this visual problem.. its sort of a 50/50 thing.
Hey mlwood, would my batch be included in those? AFAIK, I was the first on these forums to receive any.
You have just given me a idear.
The yellow / green is strong in green colour under UV so ive just run a quick test of a 2:1 ratio mix of yellow/green + green. Doing this has produced a normal green and the uv green side looks better UV ..... (yes a bit bit more yellow.) but its a bit like them UV green fans in that sense.
Hmm this could be a good answer to getting a better green sort of best of both worlds.
send me you address again and ill ship some off to you mate
Ill do a peroper mix in the morning and you can let me know what you think.
Well if I like the new dark blue samples, I'm gonna put them in my PC in like 3 weeks when I'll get it together. So then will start testing how well they work in long-term :D
Don't worry to much about it. If it was really causing so much trouble as the guy is saying we would have known that a long time a go.
We don't know what the real reason is why he did that but obviously he doesn't like it that we use those dyes.
Let us know how you're doing with the UV Green dye and if you can get a better glow with UV light.
has anyone here placed an order for the pink uv dye? i wanted to see what it looks like outside of a test environment and in an actual system.
As soon as DHL has landed with the new supplys ill get my ass down to the post office with these two new samples to be posted out of dark blue and a mix of UV green + UV green / yellow. Allso will send you both 2 x new sampels as well of Clear UV blue and the biocide. So youll both get 3 x samples to play with.
Im going to see if i can buy in bulk some 12v uv cold cathods. Hopefully we can match the best cold cathods to these dyes and keep the prices down still.
mlwood,
please understand in any business this kind of stuff happens
"allow me to sell your dyes exclusively"
"no"
"ok, your dyes suck"
just keep being completely honest, keep making your product better and people will use it. don't let this kind of stuff get you down. keep in mind people have problems with EVERY company. you will find people that love it, and you will find people who hate it. it's just the nature of the world.
you will quickly find anytime you deal with money it will cause people to do CRAZY things. luckily you are selling a relatively cheap product (cost wise) so you will be able to afford to correct small issues easily. you are going to get some people who expect it to glow like a 200 watt bulb and they will be extremely disappointed when it does not meet their crazy expectations.
best of luck with your dyes
actually let me explain the other side
This gentleman has approached many of my friends for FUNDING including some close friends. I will not say whom but MLwood knows whom they are.. They rejected him as everytime his pre-mixed fluid failed to make the grade compared to thermochill. In addition his lack of lab-testing data did not help. He also went to a friend of mine BEGGING for funding to which he was promptly refused!
His business model is unsound and so is his coolant. However I refuse to get into play ground slander such as the gentleman above. However you will see soon the issues.
I refused to recommend him to lee @wcpcs for simply that the formula i recieved did not live up to specifications! There is nothing personal; in it, by comments made in the post above it has descended from an observation to play ground name calling, is this the man you wish to do business with?
Ask you self this
gilgamesh
i lol'd
hello,
#1 I never called anyone a name.
#2 I never saw your post on here, I was simply replying to what "mlwood" said. he said person "A" said my dyes suck because I would not let them exclusively carry it. I said don't let it get you down.
#3 I never said either side was right as I have no clue about the case. I simply was offering mlwood advice
#4 Please point out once instance where I called anyone a "playground name" and I will gladly retract the comment from my post
He said the person in question was using an early mix of the dye. He said these dyes were never sold at retail. I based my comments to him on his word being true. Next time you read a post please absorb it before claiming "playground name calling". This will be my last reply on the subject because I don't care to hijack the thread. Regards
Have i approched many of you freinds for funding .. Lol. now you makeing me laugh. Please prove me prof of this and allso while your at it if i asked for funding why did i refuse wcpcs when they asked it i whated finacal help with bottles ect ect. Infact once agian you lying and trying to big up you self.
My buness model is unlike any other im doing it for no profit :) .. i personly like it that way. And if you were a good relaible reviewer id proably listen to what you have to say but seeing as your not and you like to review pre production samples and slag them off i think that just says it all. how ever im sure youll be trusted now by many companys as a reviewer.
and who are these many freinds .. please tell me as even i would like to know my self.
As for the premix that you got from wcpcs fancy me showing you a email pre december saying that the pre mix was pulled due to problems .... lol... and just this week your reviewing them. 2 months after the email was sent and receved.
not only is you review a joke so are your lies.
@ TechloGoblin - mate i listend and totaly agree. I sure there are compnays climbing all over him for reviews of there Pre production samples that were never released to the public.
[QUOTE=TechloGoblin;4208474]hello,
Techlo i wasnt speaking to your good self I was speaking about mlwood
re:
the dyes and mixes, please feel free to purchase something that was made in his kitchen, however when the problems arrive I trust people will remember my words, when people find issues with this product
THat all i have to say on the matter also
gilgamesh
What mlwood37 did or didn't do is the least of my concerns. He did all he can to help me and I'm glad that I can finally use some dye again and don't have to worry about mixing all kind of chemicals that I don't want in my loop.
I'm not going to whine because my dye doesn't glow as much as I would have liked it and I have to put more than five drops in my loop to have the colour as strong as I want it so I could get a refund. All I want is that mlwood37 tries to fix this and that is what he is doing so the next time I order some dye I know it's going to be stronger and give me a better glow with UV light.
Next weekend when i come home ill redo my loop and use the new UV Green dye. Ill try to take some pictures of how it goes. Ill post them up once im done.
4addiction - sample on its way (50/50 green)
A gray - sample on its way (50/50 green)
Faster3200 - Sample on its way (50/50 green)
Elpy - sample on its way Blue 2 (50% reduced) + Clear UV Blue 2
Guys when you receve dyes on the bottom of the bottle is a no. Let me know how its goes and let me now the number on the bottem of the bottles as well.
You allso all have been given a Free sample of the new 10ml biocide if you so wish to use.
1 Drop pre 1 Ltr only of the new biocide and you can top up every 3 to 4 months.
Have fun
gilgamesh - Fragments of an epic text found in Me-Turan (modern Tell Haddad) relate that Gilgamesh was buried under the waters of a river at the end of his life by his own people. Woot right name for the right person :) ...
As for the post of you on the other forum wich you have had me banned from wich isnt a problem the pre mix you are showing is dated from the 08-29-2009 (over 5 months ago not 2 as you stated) wich were the very first pre mixed i ever worked on wich never even saw the public eye and were test samples. this is to the point proving that 1) you lyed out you ass and 2) you are the worst reviwer in history. Your are pure and simple an idot who has no place in reviwing products at all.
So not only have you placed lie apon lie in this and the other forums youve just dug you a hole so deep even i would not like to be there. I feel sorry now for you as not only have you lost my respect you have what i would consider more to the point lost your turst worthyness. If any one uses you as a reviwer they will have to be desprate indead.
Im glad you posted the pics in the other forum it makes me very happy to see that what you have posted just prove the point esp since them samples were in Bubble bath bottles as colour test and pre mixed samples. Not the revised version that were in a totaly diffrent kind of bottle. Wich we pulled before xmass. Thank you for proving you a complete and total idot.
Thanks mlwood37 for the test samples. I'm going to try them and let you know how I'm doing with them.
I don't know how you managed to post here again since you were banned from XS according to gilgamesh1 post on that other forum. :D
Ooh... wait I see it know you're banned from that other forum because gilgamesh1 personally attacked you on that forum and they find it childish behaviour from you posting it here. If there's one that should be banned it should be him on XS because I find it childish behaviour what he's doing on that other forum. I'm not going to say that he's a liar but nobody at XS has problems with Mayhem's dyes so I believe mlwood37 when he says that these were early testing samples and they never have been sold.
lol @ abouve yeh seemly more lies from him ..
Last sort of rant from me ->
I myself have no qualms what to ever of people attacking the dyes if they have tried them properly and think there not good enough. However i don’t like it when people who haven’t got a clue what they’re talking about and also lie about products that have been pulled months beforehand due to their problems and then go shouting about it on other forums in hope that i don’t get to see it and trying to impress there peer’s.
This business is a little rough at times however i don’t mind. I have never once “had a go” at any one who has criticised me or the dyes on any forums or privet messages. In fact ive always had been up front about how the dyes are made, what they are made off and how they are sold and i even quickly attend any problems and fix them with better solutions. This can take time however with a pre mix and more than the 1 + years that i have been now working on a pre mix solution.
People like “gilgamesh1” aka “Gilgamesh” who try to review a product that is in its infancy and early stages of development should never be trusted with such obligations of being handed samples or review products never mind being trusted to advice for a shop.
I fully understand that dyes and liquids are not for everyone esp since you can get no better than simple deionised water and a kill coil. However when making a show peace this is where such liquids come into their own.
As for a real example of the dyes in a working system for over 9 + months, this was deep purple that was added to my own working system (on every day). Excuse the dust but please mr gilgamesh1 show where there is build up (or brake down as it is really called). Somehow to me it is still clear as the day i put it in. Grrr ....
“look at the dust” but no brake down , or any thing in fact no staining either.
http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/3854/002run.jpg
Hmm were is the build up on the GPU ... just dust on the outside cause im a lazy bum who doesn’t clean up......

http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/8366/59223454.jpg
some more pics, excuse the erm dust

http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/7969/014ln.jpg
http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/4781/012km.jpg
No more rants from me.
All I can see is dust and an air bubble trapped in your GPU block. :D
Yeh i just noticed that when you said lol. haha. Show how much i care for my own equipment. still works like a dream and still keeping it temps.
My kids run it in there pcs as well and again no problems at all. The only one with staining is my son's running the orange liquid wich isnt even on sale because of this problem. So over all im my self as my own customer is quite happy. Then again im bias proably lol ... How ever that said i still say even though it hasnt happend with mine these will stain your system :) allways best to be safe.
p.s i did wipe the dust off the plastic before i took pics because there was that much of it on them as you can see from the rest of the pics but there is still some left.
Just upset my daughter for 20min . but here is pics of a DD 8800 GTS block on the inside after running the yellow green dye for 8+ months.

can any one see any so called build up. i was gonna pull my sons apart but ive just been told were to go literly.
Looks good !
But shame on you for that bubble :D
and last but not least stain waise under UV black light after 8 moths on the dd 8800gts ..
http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/5459/027ut.jpg
You cannot see it very well but there is a tiny ammount of staning on the edges how ever thats to be expected after running this stuff for 8 months.
Last but not least just for the guys over the other forum.
These were the last batch of premixes to be made they were pulled over xmass time. you can see the green marked in blue had issues. Look at the bottem of the bottle.
The rest of the colours all are still fine but becuase the green had this issue of staining (quite badly i must add) things when mixed with the inhibitor it was all pulled before xmass. Allso youll notice the bottles are totaly diffrent from what mr gilgerhash was showing. Again the dyes of the green was changed to some thing diffrent and the inhibtor was changed but deving of the pre mix has been on hold untill a much less harmfull inhibitor can be found.

Ok, this thing has gotten out of hand. I've kept my peace long enough. Mayhem, if you have issue with what he's saying, you are welcome to dispute it in person over there; I've unbanned you. Regarding the reason you were banned, it was not because of anything you said over here (his comments notwithstanding). I told him I was not comfortable with banning anyone for comments made elsewhere and he said he banned you for your threat of doing him for slander, which was deleted. Keep away from threats and you'll be worry free.
I'd love it if this silly dispute between the two of you over premixed and reportedly pre-production fluid would end now. If you wish to defend your product there, you're welcome to come do so. You are more than welcome to supply further fluid for testing to anyone that wants them.
This also does not reflect negatively on how Overclockers Tech does reviews as you seem to enjoy saying. He was given a product, he tested it and he reported in the forums (not even on the site) his experience, which was negative. If you want to fix the situation, work with him to fix it. His reviews are sound, and I'd appreciate it if you'd stop disparaging him, and our site's reviews because he did not like a product he was given.
I want to get this crap straightened out and do it as cordially as possible. So let's get to the work of that rather than have either of you keep taking pot shots between two forums.
Sound good to everyone?
That EK 8800gt GPU Block looks familiar, However how can you live with using a test bench like that?
Yeh mate is was the one i got off you mate :). Its pefect :).
My test bech have been left testing the dyes mate nothing more hence why there is dust all over it and it still runs like a dream lol.
Question.... I like the Candy Red you have there, but I was curious, is there a way to make it darker?
Was thinking of maybe mixing it with the Purple a bit... I'm looking for a very deep red.
Or is there another option?
Hi there if you after a deeper red i can make one for you. It depends on what colour you would like.
If you can give me a exsample of what you would like ill see what i can come up with.
Ive had a quick play on your idear.
Candy red + UV Pink at a 50x50 Mix ratio gives a lower than blood red mix that is UV. Ill take pics so you can see your self.
Id would capmpaire the mix in normal light to a red wine.
Well I am looking at getting together a work log and the color combo will end up being black and red. Well more burgandy really, but a deep red.
I might not need it, not sure. Still looking into all the aspects etc.
As for the staining, I'm not overly concerned with that, as long as it won't physically damage the pump(s) or block(s).
I'll follow up with you if I do end up needing it.
Thanks for the quick reply!
If you would like a deep prurple that if you use enough will bee deep and dark close to black and a 50/50 Red / Pink mix just shoot me your details and ills end you samples over to play with. as per normal no charge.
Give me a few min ill show some pics.
Oky first pic this is 50/50 mix candy red and pink with purple on the right hand side with a darker back ground.

deep red made and pakaged and will be sent tommorw.
45% camdy read
45% UV Pink
10% deep Purple
Hey, I just sent you a PM where we can work out the details. But I'm looking for a nice UV blue. Much lighter and more blue than what I have with Feser (which looks dull and teal, too much green IMO)
I like the blue on post #365., or if you could post some pics up of what you have would be great!
edit: here is a pic of what I'm looking for in a color. Its a thumbnail so just click it. but whats in the circle is what I'm looking for. on the far left you see similar to what I have right now, except more green.
http://img3.tinypic.info/files/edwmc...tl6x_thumb.jpg
Ill see what i can come up with for you. Let the lads check ou the new samples ive sent out and see what they think.
God im so tird lol.
Any way a few qustion have been asked wich id rather see asked and answerd in the forums.
Colour diffrence.
To get UV to glow real nice you need a light back ground. So if you have a white case and a UV light inside it will reflect the light much better than having a dark case and cheap ass black light. My Dyes glow so much in the pics because i place them on a white chopping bord and have the UV light with tin foil on it making all the light go stright to the dyes. there for im makeing a perfect envirment for this dyes. This how ever is not allways possable in a case esp with cheap UV lights and esp when the light is not directed.
So if you what to achive a real deep UV glow simlar to mine your going to have to think about lighting you case up correcly and just thowing in UV CCFLs wont allways do the trick so plan ahead if you can :) ..
Allso the none UV dyes such as Deep Purple and candy red are just that. there none UV. If you would like a red that is UV it takes a bit of work and deving. I have never seen a perfect UV red made yet and i have never my self been able to pull off a perfect UV red how ever i am still working on it. It just takes time. Please be pachent.
I have 150 diffrent colours in total in Dye form. I cannot do them all in one go my misses goes mad with me allready lol. It takes 8 hours just to filter 1 dye and that is not inculding how long to test the dye for brake down lol... it not as simple as yes it a dye throw it in :) ....
thats all for now i need some sleep ...
The UV Yellow/Green dye and Biocide test samples arrived today. That's a very fast delivery.
It's time to flush my watercooling and try them out.
hehe before you do its green not yellow green, the mix has been made with a mixture of both UV yellow/green and UV green to give a more real looking green effect under normal light and more greenish look under UV ... lol.
Thought id just say before you flush and go. best to test it in a galss with normal water to make shure your happy first. :)
Still waiting for mine in America, should come in sometime this week. If it comes during the week ill have pics up on the weekend when i come back home from college for the weekend.
To late. I already flushed my watercooling and filled it again with demineralized water and added 2 drops Mayhem's Biocide.
I've got exactly 520ml demineralized water in my loop. I added a few drops of the dye and it looks like dark yellow. When I'm using my UV cold cathodes lights I don't see any difference in color or glow. :(
I used a white bucket to drain the old UV Green coolant and when I hold the bucket in the UV light the coolant glows like bright light. This is very strange because that coolant didn't glow in my loop.
So it isn't a problem with the UV activity from the dye but why it doesn't glow in the loop is something I don't understand because when I use HydrX in my loop the coolant glows with UV light.
I would like it to be more green but that isn't a problem because I've got more than enough UV Green dye to mix with the UV Yellow/Green-Green. I'm going to try it in a small bottle to know how much drops I'm going to need to mix the colour in my loop.
wow thats wired
So it doesnt look green to you at all. and not showing Florsent green.
Is there a number under the bottle.
Allso 1 drop of biocide is enough mate you dont need two drops. The stuff is concentrate and very strong.
Ill run tests again tonight with the mix and see if a can produce the same results as you self.
WTF I've added 1 drop of the UV Yellow/Green-Green dye in the bottle with 30ml demineralized water and it's actually green and it glows nicely with UV light. :yepp:
Time to flush the loop again. I have no idea what went wrong because there's nothing else in the loop than DEMI water and the Biocide and a few drops dye.
The number on the bottle is 53 or S3.
OK I've found what the problem is. The Biocide destroys the green colour.
From the moment I add 1 drop in the bottle the colour turns to dark yellow.
Cool. thats quite good to know its to strong lol. Bit of a bugger up .. (ill pull from sales immdetly)
Ill have to clam it down. The stuff is prper concente . ill have a word with suppler and get it weekend down. The stuff will kill any thing with in the loop basicly as soon as its added. As its a zapper as well.
When i say world strongest lol you can see its no joke.
Hmm this is the biggist head ace getting a decend biocide made. This is realy good stuff but if it does that to the green its going to cuase to many problems. Ill Ive just been chatting to the chemist and hes said dilute it and see how it goes. So ill have a play .. gonna try a 50/50 redction.
Why not just use a killcoil? :ROTF:. Havent received the dyes yet but most likely wont be using the biocide because I like silver coils :). Or well I'll probably test it with the blue, just to check if there will be any... funny stuff . Most likely will receive them tomorrow so will post pics then.
The Yellow/Green-Green dye is very good. You don't need much dye to have it to look like green with UV light.
I added 20 drops UV Yellow/Green-Green and 10 drops UV Green to +/- 500ml DEMI water. You can do with less dye but I wanted it to show green also with daylight.
Now it's a nice green with a lot better glow with my 2 UV Cold Cathode lights.
I'm going to ask someone I know to take some pictures because my camera isn't good enough.
wow thats alot of dye. I think my idear of nice colour is a little diffrent to every one else. hehe. 20 drops is a lot. Please keep an eye on you system.
Any way ive been playing again lol ive reduce the biocide to 50% strengh and its not effecting the green how ever i need to run this over at least 3 months to see if it still degrades the dyes.As for now the biosides been pulled becuase it way to strong for normal users untill i can get a defeante answer. No one seems to read warnings lol so i need to comepnesate this...
I used a little more than 1ml for 520ml DEMI Water. I don't worry about staining or anything else. If I do run in to trouble I know it's because I used to much but I don't think I will because... well you know what I'm using in my loop to try to keep it clean.
As for your Biocide. I should have used 1 drop for 1 liter. There's only 520ml in my loop so I should have used 1/2 drop.
Yeh its 1 drop per 1 ltr dut im wokring on chainging that to 2 drop to 1/2 ltr with the new mix ive just orderd. lol
That's good. If you only use a watercooling to cool the CPU and you don't have a big reservoir you probably need less than 500ml in your loop so 1 drop could be still to much.
That's why I tried with 2 drops to see how strong it is and it's extremely strong. :D
I don't know if you're going to change something in the Biocide but if you don't change anything I could try with adding 40ml DEMI water to the 10ml Biocide and make 250ml coolant with the dye and 1 drop of the Biocide to see if it's better and keep that in a bottle for some time to see if it stays good.
TBH I make all dyes in 1 Ltr bottles and same goes for the Biocide. Ill take the biocide and make it at a 25% mix ratio as been running tests all night at the effect on the green as its the only dye that is being overwelmed by the biocide.
I asked the maker of the biocide why its happening and they came back and said it because it has a element inside the is a so called "Zapper" it attacks green algi directly via removing its abilty to take in UV light and killing it dead. They said the chances are the green dye is being "Zapped" by this method. Wich is realy intresting. So i need to run longer tests on it to see if over a period of time it reduces the green dye's abilty to reflect UV Green and Green.
At least 1 thing is for sure it works very well at doing it job proably to well. lol
What's the best solution to keep your loop clean? -It's probably PT Nuke or a Killcoil.
But what if you're using mixed metals and if you want to use some dye?
For those of you who have been following this thread you probably remember me asking mlwood37 if it would be possible to use his dye and water wetting agent. I've tested it and it works.
I would have waited for this to go public with my results but mlwood37 suggested me to throw it in the thread.
Everyone knows that the car industry has some products that you can use in your watercooling loop but so has the printing industry.
The product that I'm using in my loop is Anchor Water Wetting Agent. It's a product that I'm using for years at work to add it to DeMi water so our automatic cleaning device stays clean.
I've been testing it in my loop without dye for a few months and it helped to keep my loop clean.
I know that if you use anything else in your loop than pure water the temperature is going to be worse.
Not with Anchor Water Wetting Agent.
Here's a screenshot running LinX at 4.05GHz with pure DeMi water that I made a few months a go.
http://i431.photobucket.com/albums/q...eMiWater-1.jpg
And here's one with 5% Anchor Water Wetting Agent that I added after the first test and let it mix in with the DeMi Water for a few minutes.
http://i431.photobucket.com/albums/q...ingAgent-1.jpg
Don't look at the CPU temperature in ASUS PC Probe II because it always fluctuates with a few degrees and isn't really accurate. Look at the core temps in RealTemp because they show you the maximum temperature they reach at full load with LinX without fluctuating.
As you can see there's only one degree difference between the test with pure DeMi water and the test with 5% Anchor Water Wetting Agent. I don't know if the one degree difference is because I added 5% Anchor Water Wetting Agent or if it's because the computer was already a little warmer because of the firts LinX test with pure DeMi water.
Anyway the temperature difference is so small that I can say that it's negligible.
The Anchor Water Wetting Agent should help to keep your loop clean. It contains a biocide and a corrosion inhibitor. It might help against staining of the dyes and if you want to clean your loop you can add a few percentages more Anchor Water Wetting Agent without dye to clean your loop.
Ive been using 8% Anchor Water Wetting Agent in my loop for a few days and it did a good job to clean my watercooling loop. When I flushed it the coolant had a light green colour. The colour was still in my loop after I flushed it with pure DeMi water and before I filled it back with the 8% Anchor Water Wetting Agent.
I'm now using 2% Anchor Water Wetting Agent in my loop and a lot of dye (to much than actually necessary) to see if it still can keep my loop clean.
The reason that I said earlier that I don't worry about staining or running in to trouble with so much dye is because I know if I don't use any dye in my loop and I add a few percentages more Anchor Water Wetting Agent in my loop it's going to clean it and in worst case scenario after a few flushes all will be gone.
Now, where can you buy this Anchor Water Wetting Agent?
I don't know. Anchor is a Belgian company and is now a part of FUJIFILM Europe. You could ask a local printing company where you can buy it or if they use it themselves if you can buy some of them because I don't think you're going to need 5 liter Anchor Water Wetting Agent to keep your loop clean. :D
Here is a table list of what is used in the dyes and how much is mixed to create the dyes. This will help if you intrested in making your own dyes. I have a more complex version but ive cut this down to size.
Hope this helps with any one wishing to mix there own.
