hahaha get your single channel 800mhz 10-11-10-28 kits ready!
this morning i've benched using the Single Stage for about 2 hours, this is what came out.

you forgot to mention the kingston's head...that's the tweak that makes my 32M that fast :D
too bad that in the next weeks SB will kick our asses. :D
this 950 at the first touch seems not that good, it was so damn hot - that is a good thing - but was a poor clocker.
4 weeks ago i figured out that the problem was the IHS...checked with the calibre and find out that this CPU have the worst IHS i've ever seen...i have lapped the CPU and than retried the CPU using the Single Stage...in 10 minutes i find out that i've gained 150/200 MHZ only with lapping.
if this gain will remain the same probably this chip will bench 32M at around 5400 MHZ at LN2...i need to refill the dewar and give it a try.
BTW i'm still on 45nm because the only 980x i tried was a PURE CRAP, CB in triple channel around -120° C, crappy uncore, poor ram clocking and with VCORE 1.85 volt reach less than 5.7 GHZ for 32M and 5.4 GHZ for vantage...the only good thing is that i haven't bought it :ROTF:
i don't wanna spend 1000 € and get a crap CPU and in any case being pwned by guys that use A0 chips.
i do overclock because i like it and because it makes me happy...i don't care if my name isn't in the HWbot "hall of fame"...i don't need to be #1 or use high end stuff to enjoy the overclock.
sorry for the OT. :)
kingston indeed ftw!
you still have 12days to be on top :D, nice work with the taiwanese os? i don't read kungfu lol
ahh thanks 4tip man...we ought to stop spamming this thread lol
Beautiful 32M there mafio, congrats! At those mem speeds 6-6-5-18 is kind of the best it can get, I envy you :P
*Update*
We should work on Sandy-Bridge-support for CPU-Tweaker.

mafio just saw that results very very impressive mate, everything is right up there...
i really like that 960 6-6-5, need a very nice kit of mems to do that on air!
brian great to see some AMD results up in here also!
Have been playing in the HCC contest a bit. Flares + Xpower = efficiency, me thinks

Yes.
This is preety hilarious :ROTF:
Nice :D
There's one loop after 'efficiency - yes', namely 'beat youngpro?'.
The answer is always no, though ... so i don't think it's necessary to include.
*Update*
@all: CPU-Tweaker is not ready for Sandy Bridge yet, so let's wait a bit.
@Massman: Should I be afraid about my hwbot account, if I tell you that the indispensable tab CPU-Z/Memory is unfortunately not included?:rofl:
Well, I think there's too many pink colored 32nm lovin.

Obviously SandyBridge is dominating now, so im a bit late to the party .. but here is the lga1366 resultat from this afternoon anyway..
4Ghz to start with .. will give the low clock challenge a try later, maybe tomorrow.
32M is so much fun with R3E .. its all so smooth, and easily diagnosed when problems occure..

Brian, unfortunately I don't have a Crosshair 3, so I have to do my best with Gigabyte UD7. AMDNord's 955BE on the other hand has a minor problem with Northbridge frequency... Can't do more than 3100MHz NB on air (1.47 VTT). Are my runs efficient? :D
//EDIT: 18.xx :welcome:
http://www.hwbox.gr/images/imagehost...de55e255f9.jpg
Looking good for thuban considering ram you are using.
For LCC I think thuban/psc and deneb/hyper though are your best bets.
Might be able to pull off some decent runs at the higher times with hyper though. Once you go into 15's, 14's range though they will get rolled.
Yeah they get rolled bit time! Last night I had 14m59sec at 4470MHz with the hypers, so yeah I understand why I need PSC @ 2100MHz+ :p:
Regarding the motherboard I used, Gigabyte UD7 has a nice efficiency and it's a steady even at phase change/LN2 cooling. Time for SandyBridge now :D
Some results with locked cpu clock at 3600 MHz. AMD Callisto, bbse one-side chips and middle end mobo, like a Asus m4a88T-V EVO ( )

LN2 for pushing NB clock.
Done for total-oc.ru on-line competition.

Sick scores!! Perica. NB rocks.
Well done dude
*Update* (hooray )
As usual a few annotations:
1) No scores with missing CPU-Tweaker added.
2) Users with AMD 890 chipset mainboard should read this posting. It is something chew* suggested (and he knows a bit about AMD tweaking, right ;)).
3) Unfortunately CPU-Tweaker is still not ready for Sandy Bridge. Do you think it's time to consider AIDA64 as official alternative for the 32M LCC, so I can add Sandy Bridge scores like this one?
Oh, and not to forget ...
@Perica_Barii: That is great stuff!
yeah aida64 or asus memtweaker.
Wrong entry....
In order for you to be competitive in the 9.xx category you have to pull out a 9m58sec or a 9m59sec run ;)
@George_o/c: thanks for that. Will try again..... :)Quote:

Not a tuned run but.......looks like there is a new contender on the AMD side of things.

wow that beats 4g amd runs @ oca forums contest
you da pi-man!

igpu or separate gpu?
Haven't tested board non APU yet.
There's quite a bit of room in that score as well.
I'd say up to 13X for sure, 12X is questionable.
Yes I realized 11.x was too high a demand. Nice to see Llano efficiency so good without L3-cache though.
Alright, better late than never. Finally got to play with rex, it's a godly board :) I think I can pull of 542 fsb but it won't take me higher in the rankings anyway. Memory are 2x2 dom gt 1600 cl6 hypers @ 1.75 aircooled.

Ram at 1082Mhz... cl6?? I like the 12GB action too, that is seriously extreme!
About time someone posted in this thread, why no Sandy Bridge yet?
Haven't benched 32M for like a year, but you know how it is... Old habbits die hard :p:
So, I fired up the Llano today and managed to get a proper run after 3 hours of testing. There is still room for improvement, on the OS side of things.
I used Kingston 4GB 2133MHz HyperX Grey Series RAM (9-11-9) :)
Also, sorry but neither CPU Tweaker nor Memset worked, thus I can't display the subtimings.

Wow just found this thread, what a awesome thread, nice read, would of liked to bench with you guys back then
