So you think the extra speed doesnt worth the extra watts at this point? Do you see 4.6Ghz as the best option regarding performance/power consumption?
If you assume that running cost matters then you can approach this in different ways:
1. You run 1 rig balls to the wall with as many optimisations as you can to achieve the best points you can and the power cost is high for a single rig but lower than multi rigs
2. You run more rigs but at a lower clock
3. you run the latest tech which is most efficient
eg. an i7 920 may pull 350w from the wall overclocked, whilst the 2600K may be 220w and the 3770K <200 each of the latter 2 for the same clock. some people extol the virtues of stock volts and as high a clock as possible others run stock speed using as little voltage as possible.
All in all it is really your choice of how you want to run.

Looking at the XS WCG ranking there is an incredible gap between 123bob and ddtung of nearly 220 million points.
To enter in the top three requires still a lot lot of crunching. Hope to have the time before we run out of WUs and also before springtime when outside temperatures will start to rise.

As we come to the end of this incredible GPU run, I would personally like to thank everyone for the crunching time they have donated to this incredible endeavour. I am a cancer survivor myself and the only reason I beat it (cancer), was this type of research that gave the researchers the tools they need to perfect and improve the treatment and cures we few have benefited from. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. The six months I have given with my home machines is nothing compared to everything else you great people at XtremeSystems have given over the past couple of years. Had I been paying attention to the outside world (cancer closes you off with emotion and then treatment), I would have joined and been crunching a lot sooner.

Cancer has taken away many women that I loved and respected including my two younger sisters. The two full time cancer crunching rigs that I operate are named after them and have a picture of them near their setup spots . These rigs help keep their memories alive in my mind. I sometimes find myself taking to them and cheering them on.
Like you I now wish very much that I would have gotten into cancer research crunching much earlier... However, it is better be late than never...!!!!
I'm a 1mill+ ppd guy on a good day. All of my friends and family think I'm a fool for crunching:shakes:. Thank you Supercoolin for giving me more motivation to push harder!
