Hey guys. It has been nuts watching Vince and Shamino bench. I've spent the evening playing with AMD chips, tested 2 chips, both couldn't handle 3D06 at 6GHz :down: I'm now installing Vista on my Classified, we have TheGoatEater playing with a Gigabyte EX58-Extreme and Shamino's w3570, Shamino is playing UT2k3, Vince is cleaning up, and everyone else is milling around. Too tired to say more, will catch up later guys.
As an alternative to actually making it out there, I went to a friend's house today and overclocked/benched his CPU for him for hours and hours. Guess what it was. i7? no. Phenom II? no. Core 2? no. Single core Orleans :(
Can't wait to see screenies of some new WRs and some pics of the rigs setting them :)
what time should i show up in the morning guys? anyone going to be kicking around early or should i wait until later?
Show up @ 7AM, they'll just be finishing off a 180 from a night of benching and want someone to make a caffiene run :up:

I got in very late after a run in with US Customs and Border Patrol. They mistook me for some dude that was drunk and running into various cars and dividers, etc. I got to feel what real handcuffs feel like.....I think Vince called it 'cuffed-n-stuffed'...:eek::shocked:

First time w/ ln2 was a blast... Nothing like learning from the best ;) I will have fond memories of this and I got over my hesitance with ln2 quickly after watching Vince and Lardy lol ;) I had a blast just watching and then Vince told me to get benching... How could I say no lol and gomeler, gautam, vapor, and Lardy helped me out to... Vapor worked his GB magic and we got 5.2 on the EX-58 Extreme after a little troubleshooting

My rig after ~7 hours of benching. This thing was a beast. Was using a 5 gallon paint bucket for the water on the vid cards, had to swap out once due to the water hitting 40C.

Right after my 3D06 run my iPhone fell out of my pocket and crashed to the floor :(
I've been benching since ~5pm or so. I was testing the CPU through 3D06 and then Gautam said "your memory timings suck, reboot" so we reboot and play with timings. Andre Yang then says "you need to flash to a newer BIOS". 2 hours later I still couldn't POST at 220bclk, had to flash back to an older BIOS, swap sticks(apparently the 2000C7 kit I was using was dead", and then I could start posting and setting memory timings. Then it was hours of incrementing bclk, playing with the vid cards, and alternating a happy and prayer dance.

I'm not happy with the runs. GPUs were at 822/950 in 3D06(proxycon bugs em out at higher) and 852/950 in 3D05. Hoping to muster the energy tomorrow to give this a stab again :up:
