Aquaero bought and paid for, and on its way over to me :) Updates soon guys!
as always, looking incredibly forward to it :)
Good Luck with the Aquaero, Nat. They are still hard to come by in the US.
So to update you all, I'm using new fittings and tubing in the new and improved resurrection of Pegasus :) Changing to 3/8" 5/8" comps in true silver and Primochill LRT tubing to try to neaten up those loops a bit more. Yes, I AM that much of a perfectionist :) And I have another idea to try to neaten the loops still further by changing the orientation of the 240 rad in the bay area, but I am not sure if that will work very well... I'll have to see when I have everything together again if I can actually do it the other way around and not have it look really weird. Plus it might end up lengthening the actual loop so much as to not make it worth my while anyway. But we'll see :) Hopefully the mount for the Aquaero will be finished and sent to me soon so I can also have that mounted in the case neatly. Apart from that everything is just taking time. But let's face it, I've been building this computer since the beginning of the year, waiting another few weeks won't hurt me. I am actually surprising myself with my patience though, it's a good life lesson. Hope to show you guys some interesting stuff soon anyways, will check back in shortly! :)
Hi, dreamaxx. I liked the work that you did before and am looking forward to your update. Being a "perfectionist" isn't such a bad thing.. I know that I definitely appreciate those who go the extra mile to keep their builds refined and neat. :)
Funny. Looked at the first pictures and I was thinking "I really like the build, nice colors, but its kinda girlish, kinda hard core something something". And as it turns out, IT IS GIRLISH ; )) Well, I dont mind, I like girlsih so...Very nice build so far. Looking forward to the new tubing n stuff! I use to have an Aquaero but I wasen't to happy with it, dont really trust the sensors I guess. Lets just hope it works bether then the other stuff you had!
This is the first time I've seen your Pegasus build. A ton of attention to detail, a big
We are impatiently waiting for updates and a lot of pictures :)
Hey guys, Pegasus is going to be back with new hardware soon.
Just need to find a powdercoating place here on the Gold Coast (or Brisbane)
:D Pics soon of new stuff.
Anybody know any reasonably good fans which are either all clear or all white or silver or simple enough to make white?
Also, anybody know where I can find an Aqua-computer temp sensor and flow sensor? :)
Some good White fans ?
The nexus, fractal and gelid fans seems to be what you need ;)
links?
Maybe use Koolance's flow meter INS-FM17 with simple mod? http://www.realredraider.com/vbullet...ead.php?t=8581
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=12439
Anybody got any experience with those?
These ?
These fans are really silents, but they don't have a best static pressure (enough for A RX i think, but a TFC, I don't know).
What do you mean in stock masska?
Anybody tried these?

Those enermax fans look awesome, anybody got any results from them? How are they?
Sorry Nat I should've explained. I meant I have them in stock and my site www.thekoolroom.com will go live in a week or two, so if you like come on by or shoot me a pm.
I... PMed you masska.
Welcome back, Nat :toast: Looking forward to seeing Rev 2 of Pegasus.
So I need some advice on how to set up my dual loops.
I have a 240 and a 360 rad.
The following blocks:
HK 3.0 - CPU
EK - Mosfets (x2)
Koolance - NB/SB/QPI
EK - Graphics (x2)
Barus - RAM
What do you think I should put in what loop?
I was thinking CPU/Mosfets/Ram in one loop with 360 rad and GPUs, NB/SB/QPI in the other 240 loop.
check your pm's :)
Have followed this worklog from the start. Loved your front and top panels and the colour scheme you had too, especially your purple coolant.
Unusual colour but goes so well with your build. Nice to see it's back up and running and looking forward to seeing some pics.
Nobody got any advice on how I should set up my loops?
my advice is on ocau.
i would put the small stuff on the 240 and the cpu/gpu on the 360
if you skip the small stuff put the gpu on the 240 and the cpu on the 360
Sounds good Bot@xs
So this Aquaero power connect cable:

Reckon I can set up my own power switch controller for the Aquaero just by crimping the correct wires together? Pretty sure it is just green and black, so the Aquaero can turn the power supply off in fail safe mode.
How do you guys think it works?
on windows 7 + media remote, you can use the power button to turn your computer on/off, or put it on sleep.
You need to config it in windows tho.
http://www.cheaptv.org.uk/wp-content...red-remote.jpg
This is the remote i use on my HTPC.
It controls my CableBox + TV + Computer.
It also works as a gryo air mouse.
With 1 remote i can do basically everything.
Urm. Thanks for that Naekuh. Not my question at all though.
It is not so I can control the computer remotely!
It is so the Aquaero can force shutdown the computer on pump failure/fan failure/high temps etc.
It kind of looks like there are two black and two green wires, I am curious if anyone knows exactly how it is wired and if I can just crimp the required wires onto my existing 24 pin so I can connect those extra wires to the Aquaero.
Have a looksee Kibbler and let me know what you find.
OK having a closer look at that diagram, it seems a purple (+5v Standby), a black (ground) and the green (power supply on) cables are going to the extra plug, but it is only providing a break in the green (as in green goes to and from the Aquaero, but the other two don't). So I guess it needs some power (+5v) from the PSU, maybe to confirm if the PSU is on or off? And it will bridge the green when everything is OK, but when the fail safe kicks in will break that green, resulting in PSU off.
Does that make sense? What is the significance of the +5V standby cable going to the Aquaero, what is that usually for?
Wish someone in the know would come and post in here.
Nat give Shoggy a shout he's the rep from AC and a very nice guy.
He should be able to help you out.
BTW, your items have been placed on order! Just waiting to hear back from them (Hopefully tonight) to confirm availability and will send you an email once I have news.
You might also want to post your question in the main Liquid Cooling section, where more folks will see it.Quote:

Sent Shoggy a PM.
Masska did you get my latest PM? :) Whats the ETA you reckon?
Interesting... What does the standby switch do? Is it even a switch? Or is it to provide power to the Aquaero when the computer (PSU) is off?
That is what I initially thought though, the green is the one on a relay.
ah ok, i think this is starting to make sense now.
that said, you should still be able to crimp the leads that go from the aquaero to the psu, into the psu 24pin itself, then have them leading to the aquaero, without using the :banana::banana::banana: looking 24pin extention.
Yeh I reckon you're right zeropluszero, what I think would work would be to unplug the green from my 24 pin, plug it into the relay and then have a second cable go from the relay to the motherboard... Just need the right plug to attach it securely to the relay.
I think for the black and purple, I could probably just crimp those wires directly onto the 24 pin, and that should be enough to provide standy power.
Shoggy when you get here could you clarify that will work?
bout time for an update Nat
did you get your gear ok?
Updates soon :)
is "soon" now, no? ^^
haha sorry been being a bit lazy. just need to put aside the time to finish the faceplate up again :)

s.hit. 4 days off a full year.
True.... Well, it's been running for ages but I STILL haven't sorted out the faceplate rofl!!!!!!
what was with the faceplate? were you trying to intergrate the Aquaero into it?
No, I changed the entire bay area to hold all my HDDs in a raid 5 array, and the original way I'd put the faceplate on won't fit anymore, I need to re-fabricate the brackets and just haven't got round to it yet. This year has been a nightmare. 4 mths to go!
This something you going to do yourself or need it outsourced?
Work huh? Always gets in the way.
Awesome job! Thanks for the info also.
