210/3=70mhz agp. that can't be what's holding you back then. it must be something else.
your max fsb without an agp lock will be 73*3=219fsb. i suggest an nforce3 chipset with a locked agp bus if you want to go over 220fsb

well imma give the board a try first... if a no go... ne1 recommend a good NF3 boad dat'll allow me to hit 300mhz FSB or more? (of course wit multiplier drop)

MickeyM is your 3400 brown aswell?
how high did you manage to clock it on air? also tell me with what multi and fsb :)
Is 19200 3DMark2001SE Points good @ 2Ghz ??
Btw., what is the diffrence of 2.5 and 3 LDT ?? And will i get higher score if I change to 3 insted of 2.5 ??
And finally: How the hell do I chance my CAS latency ?? (i have a Chaintech mobo).
Thx dudes :)
No one has the 9-18 bios anymore? :(
I've been looking all over for it.

Got me a 3400 chip.
Runs 3D at 3000Mhz with memory running at 250 agressive timeings. This is with 404A MachI. Nice Chip. Stock Radeon clocks get me around 24100 marks, 400-500 behind FX-51. Seems to Overclock about the same as my FX.

Very nice 'single phase' clocking :D
Now it just needs some 270+ RAM loving and we are looking at new top numbers eh? ;)
Now why aren't the 3400 chips available up here yet ?? :/
I want one :D
270 ram would nice :D
I swear this Kingston of mine has never giveing me any better then 255,,pushing it!!
Then again macci might be able to do something with it:)

Orak,
Here is some stuff on GigaByte K8N Vdimm/Vbt mods. Vcore mod is the same as on K8NNXP/Pro

was waiting for you or macci to get a 3400+, i see your running 2.0vcore... the most ive tried is 1.95v with my custom r404 chiller by herefishy... at stock volts according to the bios it reads the cpu temp at about -21C, with 1.95v it reads about -8C which is why i have been hesitant to run 2.0v.. Just curious what your cpu temps are with your r404 chiller with those volts?????
Thanks
wow -18C load is 10C colder than mine, nice.. hmm i havent read about the OVP being 1.94v, i will have to try 2.0v i guess just too see...Quote:

diogojcr where did you download directx 8.1 for windows xp?
Win XP already has DX 8.1. If u have DX 9.0 installed remove it with DirectX Erradicator, it retrieves DX 8.0 to your system.Quote:

The DirectX Eradicator thing does not seem to work it says:

3dmark01 still says directx9
Where do i turn on the crpytographic services?

No error number.. in the preview file of DXE it says the Cryptographic Services thing is a known problem doesnt tell me how to solve it though... yes I am logged in as administrator
@TheDude its not windows giving me the error its DXE.
I am assuming this is XP if crypto errors, so do this to makle sure it is on.
Start the Administrative Tools utility in Control Panel.
Double-click Services. (this will open the services window)
Right-click Cryptographic Services, and then click Properties.
Click Automatic for Startup type, and then click Start.
Does it start? Do you have SP1 installed?
not good results for myQuote:

The AGP is locked at 66MHz on these boards thou.

The high FSB is worthless for 3D. You have to lower your LDT the higher you go affecting the 3D performance.
I used 166 divider for the 9 multiplier, 150 for the 8.

but i cant run CL2.. i can do it on low speed but not with 226fsb 1:1.. i think maybe i need some more volt.. :)
300 1:1 is incredible pc ice. how much vdimm did that take?
OMG that is just sick pc ice

LDT @ 1x i asume :D
hey...SmokeyTheBandit
how mutch volt do you fead your BH5 ? I have a problem to run Cas2 on my sticks.. it can be voltage ?
i give them 2.88v on 440mhz on 2.5-2-2-5 now. must go down to 420mhz to get cas2 ..
orac, my bh-5 mems can do 260 1:1 2-2-2-5 on all board i'v tested, exept on k8n, if I use 1:1 only do 220 cas2 but if i use mems set to 166 (5/3 i think) i can do 320 or more at cas2 (ddr510 2-2-2-5)
maybe a problem with k8n, 1:1 and cas2 :)
regards
verry nice scores. I'm gonna wait for the NF3 250.
Can you run those 300+ RAM speeds at 'normal' CPU speeds? Like 2.7GHz and up? Or is it for sub 2G only??
Is Vddr/Vbt/vtt all you had to do in order to reach those ram clocks or was there some extra mods involved?
Mine dont need a lot of voltage to do 265 they will do that @ 3.3 V but i dont think the chaintech board does much more voltage ....Quote:

Then you'll have plenty of voltage freedom.
I reached 4.88v so far :D
I heared that the onchip memcontroller won't be damaged on de AN50R because it get the voltages from the 5V rail not from the 3.3v...
