well bud if you sent me a gigabut board i will have to send it back
clock for clock dfi is faster than a gigabut and asus
Printable View
I know DFI has better bandwidth even my DFI X48 has, although I would like to compare same PL's just to make sure. So far we are comparing PL5 or 6 from DFI against PL 8 on the Gigabyte.
I agree if tests would use same settings as Cryptek said but where will DFI be when you stop to bench the Quad at 4200Mhz and the Gigabyte goes on and on till 5000Mhz+++ Not fair with poor old DFI:up:
i built a system for a freind the idiot bought the gigabut p45-ds3p
i gotta a agree its an easy overclock for a quad 500x7 was a breeze on a q6600
but its not good enough in my book bandwidth is
btw i had to wash my hands with ajax after i built the system
the only quad i would consider is nahaleem;)
then i gotta sell my stash of d9:eek:
btw my ut p35 spankin my dfi x38 in bandwidth;)
Hello all!
To disperse the 1608MHz to take dry ice and a ghetto-glass manufacturing

To improve specially fabricated copper-aluminum cup under nitrogen, but to the chagrin of success is not added. Stopped at 1608 MHz.

Tested with UD3 and UD3P, may limit the memory or the motherboard. Bad that nitrogen did not give any increase in the dispersal
The glass on the chipset has added a lot of problems

For the first time, it was interesting to work with nitrogen

Is the 1200mhz CL5 stable on 2GB sticks?
Any idea of when these will be out and what the pricerange would be?
Yeah its very nice to have a 4GB (2 x 2GB) of RAM that doesn't hold you back when clocking! Before this kit RAM was usually the bottleneck when working on high CPU clocks. With that said why are you selling your sticks zsamz, just curious?
i got over 40 gigs of ram  and i just bought more the funny thing is i got a few sets that i havent even opened:rofl:
and i just bought 2 more sets:rofl:another stupid move my board doesnt even like d9gkx :ROTF:
i should be sellin all my d9 n keep my gskills they are the best sets i own but i cant seem to wanna part with any of my collection
i got an itch to go ddr3 but it feels like cheating:rofl:
I kinda know how you feel, I've still got a few kits of D9's (Cellshock DKX and a Crucial GMH) and even though I don't use them much I still keep them around for low latency fun (at least until I make the switch to DDR3). By the way I just read through your specs and you weren't kidding around about having lots of RAM (infact you may have a problem), lol!
No doubt Z is a computer JUNKIE TO THE MAX:up:, saw your g.skills for sale here, your asking to close to new price, good luck.
zsamz why dont you get all your D9 framed and hang them on the wall? Set them in a sheet of foam or something with little pockets for each stick and frame them, that would make great wall art :D
I'm not joking either.
I am really impressed by your overclocks. These sticks are good, but mucho $$$ :)
just a quick test with my new 9600's on my UD3P with my 9650.thanks zsamz

Very good job radaja
zsamz, well i just got this board yesterday and im still feeling it out and the ram also.i will be going higher soon.
thanks waterflex.
heres my latest with the 9600's,i think i can drop the vdimm to 2.14 and still be stable.
http://i43.tinypic.com/2po3xjm.jpg
nice clocks Radaja, sweet. Can you post a everest run ?
zsamz,NB volts are 1.44.neo mike, here you go.i kinda of sucks cause im on vista now.in xp i get 10k across the board and 49.5 latency.but what can you do its vista ,i like the way it looks.
http://i43.tinypic.com/2eav2tz.jpg
ha ha, i like the way it looks to, thats not a bad score, you have a solid setup there, bandwidth aint everthing. You running 8gigs ? or 4 gigs ?.
4gigs for now but soon i want another four.i just hope that it will run with 8 gigs at this speed.
That could be tough to get 8 gigs at that speed, going to have to up the juice for sure, higher trfc, i see it has dropped in price on newegg, but still steep for dd2, i hope you can get 8 gigs going. You should go ddr3 Radaja for the price of that stuff, you could get a sweet 2000mgz cas 7 kit that will smoke that. Still a very sweet board, and nice setup you have.
i kinda suck that my processor seems to need so much vcore to run high clocks.
http://i41.tinypic.com/2ur4hsi.jpg
http://i40.tinypic.com/263x89e.jpg
Yeah thats alot of juice, dont know how much quads can take, should still last long time, i cant wait to see you get 8 gigs of ram to that speed stable, that i want to see, but i think you can do it:up:
yep and im not comfortable priming more than 15minutes with those kind of volts.i think im going to sell this 9650 and sell my dfi UT-P35-T2R and use the money to get myself a very low vid 9650,they run hotter but my cooling can handle it.i just want to be able to run 24/7 at 4400 or 4500 with decent vcore.something i cant do with this 9650 cause for 4500 i need 1.42-1.43 vcore.and thats just too much
radaja why so much volts for 1295mhz
is the gigabut needin more juice than the dfi or is it the quad stress on nb
i think both gigabyte and quad
im just doing some quick test's,to see what the g.skill 9600's can do.
http://i39.tinypic.com/5f5ikg.jpg
http://i43.tinypic.com/121g1lj.jpg
now thants nice with a quad
here are some everest bandwidth test

Sweet clock  Nice sticks!
waterflex thanks,im really liking these sticks
just seeing if i can get this thread back.
yep:up:got her back.thanks
DDR2 OC is going low now but DDR3 is goind up :P
DDR2 1200 4GBPI is the best kit as far as i see now
are there more affordable versions planned?
the price of these sets came down
i loved my set they have new happy owner now
but the ocz pc2-9600 is the set to have for the price;)
zsamz_
Where is the lowest price of this kit?
Talking about 2x2GB sticks that can clock.... ;) Also alot cheaper.

Really looking forward to those Blade's on the Egg :D Not seeing them yet, someone correct me if I'm missing them.
I plan to see how 8GB will fare in the EP45-UD3P :)
i want
Hey guys im having troubleee, ok MB is giga x48-DQ6, i wondering if i shld get Patriot Extreme Performance Viper Series DDR2 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-9600 Enhanced Latency DIMM Kit 5-5-5-12, x2 so will hav 4x1gb, or these G.skill 9200's that u guys have been testing, out, the reson for all this my dad is buying a home server so then my some of my rig comonets go into the surver and i geta upgrade my cpu atm is Q6700, looking at getting Q9650 and alos new ram between the previos that i linked, im not looking at huge oc's meaby a bit but i want a good increase from my 4g of team xtreem 1066mhz at 5-5-5-15s, so it will last a bit longer before i fully revamp to i7's and DDR3 which wil happen....eventully. ppl have ben having trouble getting the vipers 2 stock settings, but that was on maximus and ramage formulas, but im pretty sure my board is a newer chipset and a newer better board than the formulas, so im crossing my fingers and hoping they will both run on my board. i dnt kno HEAPS of stuff about RAM OCing or CPU ocing but i hav a general idea so no huge complex answers about skew timings and all that, i kno cas's and mhz and stuff thou....
Don't buy the Patriot Viper ... I have a kit 2x1GB DDR2 1200 and they are not D9 ... on taking the heatspreader off I found they are Elpida's. And settings of 5-5-5-12 are NVIDIA mobo profile's. On my Gigabyte EP45-UD3P I managed quite hard to get them at 1200MHZ and that with 5-5-5-15 latency and 2.3-2.32 vdimm. Also If u are going Q9650 way and don't need crossfire buy yourself a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P ... they are the best mobo's for Quad clocking and gonna save yourself from lot of problems comparing with u'r current mobo.
For ram just wait and buy when they are available in your region the new OCZ Blade Low Voltage Series 2x2GB DDR2 1066

From my point of view Q9650 + Gigabyte EP45-UD3P + 4 or 8GB OCZ Blade Low Voltage series is the way u should go. It's the best decision I think one could take.
That's my opinion. Hope it helps you
I was looking at an upgrade in ram from my 4g of team dark 1066 5-5-5-15's, and yes im keeping my mobo and yes im useing Xfire, im only lookign at replacing RAM and CPU, ok then, yeah also these vipers that im talkign about are the green heatsink ones not the black, also it seems its goign to be very hard 2 get my hands on them over here, the G.skill that you guys have been testing i found at a shop in my city, costs around $350(AUD). i think that most of the users here r US but hey, to put that in perspective the Q9650 is goning to cost $485(AUD), anyway still wondering if the g.skill hould be the way to go.
yep,they are.i wish i still had them.but oh well.going to try the LV blades,hopefully
@radaja
Dude did you see this post?
WTF!!!
Check it out: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=223507&page=3
if gskills dropped the price on them 9600 to ocz blade levels i'd rather have gskills for less heat=dependability
Yeah i'll take the OCZ LV 1200 kits @ 1.8v (or lower, likely) over this G.Skill anyday.
I just ordered my kit!!:up:
xzulu, your going to have a fun time with them:D
i cant seem to get these to do 1300 or even 1250. i'm running 400x9 @ 1200mhz.
specs:
asus rampage formula
q6600 G0 @ 1.38v
4gb g.skill pi 9600 running 1200mhz on 2.1v
I finally got my own G.SKILL F2-9600CL5D-4GBPI kit! tried it out at with the setting in my sig, passed IBT 20tests. Awesome ram!
And they dont even run hot at 2.1v, ward at load, and normal case temp at idle...
@zsamz_
Thanks! I tried running Q9650 425x9 and ram at 1275 just like what radaja, but at vdimm 2.12v and vnb at 1.34v i got a BSOD....
http://i43.tinypic.com/2po3xjm.jpg
Is it ok to run it at 2.16v 24/7 just like what radaja did?!
Thanks!
@zsamz_
Ok great! Thanks for the info. I'll use an Antec Spot Cool to cool the ram.
Guys, what is F2?
Is this one ?
I think that only for testing 2.4v is ok too.
O.K. I guess I'm joining....for $140.
now B P :banana::banana: is banana? !!
And this goes to GSkill 9600 how???
Why is BALDWIN PARK , CA such a long way away???:bsod:
Tomorrow, it's Pi time!:D
Damn you zsamz_!:shoot:
I can't get 1300 stable....
I did get 10K though
Much better than my 1066 Blades....
http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/o...ncan/1stPi.jpg
This are mines booted from bios at Q9650@ 4707 and testing 32M SPI run on W7x64 7600, on my UD3P they like volts on vdimm and MCH no way if not...
http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/2232/captura5.jpg
Cheers all
Sergio
yes its the board zsamz..awesome for quads but need volts on the vdimm and MCH as i mentioned, on my other asus they did PL7 till 1245 on lower volts...
btw..chips are not even warm even till 2,3...runing them on more than 2,24 for 8month now i have an antec spot cooler over them
Cheers
Sergio
