Mine is on the way :D What were your settings for FSB 615mhz? That' s a really nice E8400 you have there btw ;)
Mine is on the way :D What were your settings for FSB 615mhz? That' s a really nice E8400 you have there btw ;)
I don't have them right now but as far as I can remember might be:
vcore:1.33v
vpll: 1.55v
vnb: 1.49v
vtt: 1.35v
CPU GTL: 0.61
NB GTL. 0.58
FSB Vref: 2A
I've got a problem with DK P45 plus version with E8400 E0 . Thought I can do easily 500*8 but I Cant, though I think I put enough vCore to 1.4 and VDimm to 2.1
with beta bios 09/10.
any suggestion?
Has anyone going for high FSB experienced a hard wall? I've gone up to 563FSB without really touching anything and then I can't go any further regardless what I do. Is it common to hit such a wall then have to go crazy on the voltage to go any higher? If I go to 564FSB (or above) with the same settings, the system won't even post. Settings using a E8600:
vcore:1.43v
vpll: 1.55v
vnb: 1.40v
vtt: 1.38v
GTL: 61x 61x 58x
FSB Vref: Auto
Tried 63 and also 67. Also tried 2A/2B for the FSB Vref.
CPU voltage for 563x8.5 on air. I find it unlikely that's the issue. At least not for going up 1 Mhz.
What settings are you using for your rig? Perhaps I've missed something else.
I'm not saying I don't need more voltage in other places. I'm just shocked that I could hit such a hard wall where the system won't even post. I hope 563 isn't the limit for the CPU.
I figured it out. FSB hole between 563-570. Testing now at 575.
How far did u get bu now :D ?
Nice one housERaT, im sure youll get your 32M 600fsb.
Can someone help me to find the other smartguardian or skin ?? I dont like the one that comes with P45 because it screws up me screens. I have seen other using the "old" ones which have simular dimensions to cpuz and gpuz but cannot find them  Thanks
my 24/7 OC for now :

waaaaaaa man i was doing so well on some 3d benches with my e8600 510x10(took more volts then my ut p35 thou 1.55 and 1.50 for the p35)now "88"crap
i guess i'll give it a nap for a week, the normal few hours with the batt out no help.

How do I run the DFI DK P45 T2RS PLUS vmod ...?
http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...fc1ca62ab6.jpg
I would like to know exactly how to vmod.
(100k or 50k ohm to ground)
I do not know whether any way to vmod ...
Just solder from that point to your trimpot to ground. If you look in vmod section you will see many examples. :)
Sup everybody.

Any ideas, tips or suggestion? Thing is, that the memory ( OCZ D9GMH SLi EPP kit) needs 2.12V to get to 583, but anything higher results in errors in memtest, no matter how much voltage.
Every thing is well aircooled, except the cpu, which is watercooled. Really strange, because till 580, it is primestable and at 583+ it isnt even SPI 1M stable
Tried everything and this booted for me and 1M stable .If you guys have any suggestions to fine tune pls. tell me cause not 32M stable yet .Thanks.

by the way, which code/clock gen on SetFSB works on this board?
cmon, stop teasing :D there are lots of guys like me with walls here, maybe you can help them breake them

anybody got a stable OC on this board with a Q6600?
I just got this board for my new small form factor build last week. It took some time but I finally made it to 600! I'm using OCZ Reaper PC2-9200 (the newer 2.1v revision).
@PolRoger: could you list your bios settings please. thanks

guys the 0901 bios is out and it implements vcore droop stoppage
just flash the bios reboot and go under the voltage control screen.
DISABLE it to get Z E R O vcore droop!!!!!!!
what is the difference betwen the regular one and the plus version?
how does this motherboard compare to the biostar i45?
which one would overclock a dual core better?
thanks PolRoger!
i'm still confused with these settings tho...

Ch2 Clock Crossing: Nominal

What do you find confusing about them? These settings may not be suitable with your combination of cpu and memory. (Pressing F9 in the BIOS gives you the option of opening up the advanced memory timings menu. The proper configuration of Clock Setting Fine Delay will help allow high fsb)

the new bios 0901 is out and I wondering if I can flash via winflash like later bios? The instruction on bios page is other way than flashing from winflash.
I have no floppy drive and have to do other way.
Can you guy please advice thank.

i still prefer to flash bios in DOS... if you don't have a floppy, you could use a USB drive...

On a board with a non-removeable BIOS I think I would follow the instructions given. Unless you have the means to program the BIOS at the hardware level.Quote:
Please restore new BIOS's zip file to floppy disk or USB memory stick and must run "autoexec.bat" in Dos mode.
can i mount Thermalright HR-09U/S on DFI P45 T2RS ?
it says that is compatible with P35 T2RS
Can anyone confirm that the issues regarding the non plus edition are fixed(fsb issues and ati issues)? I have this board coming in next week and I hope all is well with it. Also has anyone tried the 9/30 bios for the non plus?
http://us.dfi.com.tw/Support/Downloa...FLAG=B&SITE=US
Did you hear something (scores, OC and so on) about DFI LP UT P45-t2rs?
Sorry i have to add to this im also looking to get this board and as i cant find the plus board i would have to go with the non plus is it as good as the plus
cheers
Good news: http://scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=884418
Been a long time since I bought from there though :)
are there any deferences between t2rs and t2rs-plus?
If i have the chioce, i will choose the t2rs-plus. All the good results are reached with the plus-edition. In germany some guys have problems with the non-plus board.
They are not 100 % physically the same.
On the other hand I see that DFI has removed bios 901 and also 923 beta for T2RS+ from their website. :D
and I was about to flash to the 0901 bios since it was in the official bios section.
They removed it? I flashed it the day it came out and seems ok for me..
Same here, allthough i'm having a hardtime getting my new E8600 stable with my T2RS Plus at 7.5 x 600
600 lol, my board cant even run 500 with any degree of long-term stability.
Downflashed my P45 T2RS Plus with the 0812 bios and I have the feeling that this bios seems to be more stable for me.
I'm having some issues with overclocking my Q6600 on this board.
I'm a bit of a n00b at o/c, I understand the basics, find your max FSB, find your max Mem, increment V to find stable etc.
Doing this last night I was trying to get find my max FSB, and god be damned, I couldn't get past 370FSB.
I used the document here as a guide. I realise it was for a E8500, but I used all the lowest range of values in this document as a starting point then incremented the different V's up to try and get stable, with the exception of vCore. I used +200mV as a max.
But still couldn't get past 372FSB. Anything up to about 385/390 made Vista restart mid-boot in a continual loop, and 390+ made vista BSOD on booting. 400+ meant clear CMOS.
The weird thing is I can get 370FSB with 1.238V vCore and minimum vNB and rest on defaults.
I came from a GA-P35-DS4, which I got this CPU to 400x8, but not 100% stable and with 1.35V, so I know the chip can get 400FSB.
Can anyone give me some guidance. Would love to see a 3.6Ghz 24/7 o/c :)

Can I downflash bios to0812 via winflash program ?
Account activated at last!
I was trying to register 5 or more times. Now I'm not even sure what I wanted to ask at the beginning ;)
Well, hey guys :D
I have this board since 2 or 3 weeks. NOT Plus version. I've updated bios to last official release (not beta). I can't get full stable even 400MHz FSB.
First let me ask about such things:
- Do anyone got nice OC on non-plus board? (in dual channel and some normal amount of ram - not 2x512 ;P )
- What is max stable temp for P45 and E8600 (C2D 45nm at all) - I'm on stock coolers for now and without any case yet.
- What are default V for P45 and what are necessary for 400 FSB and let say 4GHz on CPU (10x400)? My board (or PSU) seems to undervoltage...
- Which bios should I use (does plus bios fits to non-plus board) ?
Of course I've read this whole topic.
Cheers!
PS. I'm very happy I could join XS
Hi there all. I am new here as u can all see. I wanna say that all bioses i've tryed for DK P45 T2RS failed to let me OC my 8200 @ 4 ghz. But with that bew version launched in September i manage to reduce the Vdrop to 0 ( like someone said here few post earlyer) . Now i am using something like this : VTT - 1.2v / V.NB - 1.37 , 475 FSB with 137.5 mv added at 1.0625 Vid and i got like 1.184 V in idle an 1.168V in load. I am happy couse till now i have to add 162.5 mv to obtain same voltages. What i can't understand is that i have to set GTL's something like this : 67% / 67% / 58% . I am asking if i can try 500 FSB with the same settings, but i want daily use with theese settings.
you mean from 901 to 812 right ?
just do it like up bios, it may not work for everyone, so I still recommend to flash by usb drives or other devices than flashing in windows
http://csd.dficlub.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1136 , this is how to.
The really difference between "plus" and "non plus" board revisions is much better memory voltage regulator. One chip and one diode added on the "plus" version and better OC potential AFAIK.
Today they added new BIOS 10.03 version with all options was included in 901 and 923, but with one new great ability added - now both are boards supported 1066mHz memory via new BIOS dividers 266/1066 and 333/1066. Not so needed for OC, but for using stock freqs it's really good solution.
Sorry for silly question but where one can download 10.03 bios? I can't find it at DFI site.
How about my previous questions please?
+/- stable temp for P45 and for C2D 45nm
+/- voltage for NB (P45 ofc) @ 400MHz FSB and vcore for C2D 45nm @ 4GHz (E8600)
You can find 10.03 here
Nice, I will flash tonight.
thx
that's the sneaky part ;)
I don't know how you found beta url, but it's enough to change querystring parameter STATUS_FLAG=A to STATUS_FLAG=B
It works also for non-plus version (and probably for all others dfi bios downloads too).
If anyone needs, here ya go non-plus link
I have some problem flashing new bios 1003 via winflash
program pop up msg "The File's BIOS Lock-string Does not match with your system"
I follow each instruction correctly !! What should I do now?
http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/9533/errormf7.th.jpg
10/03 beta link for JR anyone? It is back to 08/10 on the main BIOS page. Where do you guys get these beta links in the first place, I cant find any beta area. :/
yeah man, I used to have that prob too, but finally I flashed with dos
If you have no fdd and so the usb drives, at least I think you have cd/dvd drive
I recommend this cd http://csd.dficlub.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1525 it has 812 bios and works fine, also has another utility like memtest.
and um, if anybody rollin this mobo with e8400 e0, would be nice to share ya config
cause um so idiot about the config (NB, VTT, GTL, REF blah blah blah), for now I hit 4.4ghz orthos red at 31 minutes)
I think that's why bios 901 and 923 have been removed. :)
I flashed from a stick, everything was fine.
I flashed it already by usb drive , it seems fine.
but I still got a problem cant go thru fsb500 anyway
it e8400 E0 + DK P45 Plus version.
Not sure I need to config the DRAM timing or not , I used geil ultra plus 1066 cl5
I just leave it auto now
I've flashed 10.03 with winflash - no problem (check if you selected plus bios or not plus)
For the 1st try I set bit insane voltages for stock cooling. While testing mobo shutdowns system when cpu was at 75C (the value was set at bios)
I'm trying to get ROCK stable only 10x400, mem set @ 800 all auto, vcore 1.29V*, NB 1.23V*, VTT 1.23V*
*) readed from SmartGuardian - my mobo/psu seems to lowering nominal values selected at BIOS
TEST - in the same time:
core0: SuperPi - dropped "not exact in round" quite fast :/
core1: Prime95 - large FFTs (maximum heat and power consumption...)
temps (to high?)
CPU: almost 60C
NB: above 50C
What's the problem in your opinion?
I'm assuming voltages or temps but:
OC isn't high so voltages should be enough, shouldn't they?
Temp... well my laptop works sometimes even at 95C at heat peak - always stable. I know mobile CPUs are more stable, but come on, almost the same core architecture - 65nm even worse.
I'm fresh with C2D ocing (but not OC at all), any explanation is welcome for nooby :D
edit: moving text block
Can someone please confirm for me that the 0901 bios link for the DFI LanParty JR P45-T2RS board is this one http://us.dfi.com.tw/Upload/BIOS/J245D901.zip ? Do you follow the same bios upgrade procedures for this beta bios like it states in the DFI Website? Thanks!
dja2k
Did some more tweaking last night to get my Q66 going fastterrrr.
Originally set myself a 1.35V limit to find a decent 24/7 clock which I hit 370. Past 370FSB though, the vCore needs to be pumped right up.
I decided to go a bit crazy and cranked it straight up to 1.5V and managed 400FSB, also set vNB to 1.35. 405 started to go pear shaped so tried decreasing the CPU GTL.
Weirdly, dropping (or is it increasing) CPU GTL 0/3 to 0.63 from 0.67 didn't make make a difference, but dropping CPU GTL 0/2 made Vista restart 1/2 way through loading. I think alot of my problem the other day was tat CPU GTL 0/2 was set to 0.63. Leaving it at 0.67 made it far more stable.
So I have something to go forward with! :D
seems like DFI took out the beta bioses for the JR...something must be brewing.
DFI left the JR with the 8/12 Official Bios & took out the Betas...but i was able to grab the 9/23 a week+ ago.
i do the DOS/USB drive update...messed up once using winflash & i never did it again.
