did you solder that LED sun yourself? I would love to see any pics you have of that before the hotglue treatment. If not your own work, linky please!! (just because it's so cool)

yea i did it myself, i didnt take pics before the hotglue went on but i might melt all of that off as the resistors get pretty hot and might need active cooling

damn, that's a bummer, it looks so clean and everytime I wire up led's they look like @ss.

Shouldn't the glue act as a hotsink anyway? Otherwise you could just direct some airflow their way. . .

the glue does act as a heat sink but a heat sink that melts.. lol as long as it does get hot enough for it to melt i will leave it but that will take further testing

priority list:

1. 24pin ATX cable
2. Finalize case frame and paint
3. Finalize tubing route
4. Paint rads
5. Finish front panel

for now, enjoy my new lens

He's deciding which i7 board to go and all the stuff that goes along with that.... haha I love the build so far.... Its also a lovely motherboard and case... keep up the good work!

Update:

24pin cable is done, just need to make sure all pins are in the correct socket
also made a small volt controller for my fans, ez 12-7v switch since i have no
room for a fan controller. Where coming close, missing a few things
(ie - rotary 45s, paint, etc)

you did a much better job then i did with your murdermod, i used 12 awg cables for the 24 pin and by the time i finished all the cables and starting inserting them into the connector the heat shrink had the cables too thick and wouldnt fit into the sockets :( which sucked so i had to fix alot of them. i started stripping the jackets of the cable and just heatshrinking it eventually i got them all in.

all that needs to be now is paint, tubing, fix the front panel and outside panels :up:
hopefully i could get some of that done this weekend, i really want to get painting soon before it gets too cold.

This is an amazing build evil, I am thinking about picking up one of these cases from the Egg. Black version is only 59$ right now, and i have an 8600GTS and a 2.4ghz dual core Athlonx2 that I have a feeling are going to be needing a new home soon. Awesome attention to detail! Everything looks amazing! What are the little pins on the pump for though? They caught my eye...

Yea i would definetly get another SG02 to mod, the possibilitys are endless. the pins for the pump are temporary until i get the proper connectors but they are there to be modular, i desoldered the standard cables and saved those. 2 of the 4 pins are power and the other 2 is for either 10w or 18w operation. though i will only run it at 18w, might be nice to bleed the system at 10w. i may or may not keep that function.
