Why wouldn't the OEM processors be the same as retail? Aren't OEM CPUs same as retail but without the extended warranty and HSF? OEMs cant be shipped out quicker i guess since they don't have to be packaged extensively with manuals etc.Quote:

Hmm, seems the OEM 6700 OcUK were gonna be shipping tomorrow won't be happenning - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...4&page=2&pp=30 !
Yup just read it now, feel sorry for those who wanted it tomorrow. I want my damn E6600
Again it's worth bearing in mind that whilst OCUK and the overclocking/enthusiast market might sound big when you're a part of it - in the grand scheme of things it really isn't.Quote:

That Gibbo is a right tit. I feel like knocking him out.
OcUK love to make promises they can't keep just to get your cash.
Sumanji, I think I might be getting the Asus P5W DH Deluxe because it's the only one I can find with two IDE controllers.
A bit harsh!Quote:

Just like any other etailer some deals are better than others you have just got to shop around intelligently. What ever you have to say they have 6300 OEM's in stock when other have squat and at a fair price. I think Gibbo really does a good job to get stock in early but at the end of the day he can only do so much and they are a buisness when all said and done and No i don't work for OcUK :D I/We the company just buy alot of PC gear and sometimes I source them from OcUK but I/We mainly deal with Dabs.
I take it you still attend School ?Quote:

No 6600's yet but we got 6700's get the 6700's now.
Then quite a few fools upgrade their order to pocket OcUK more money than what they would have been receiving before.

"Around £200". Since when is £234.94 "around" £200? That's the cheapest X1900 on their site, which is in This Week Only at the mo.Quote:

Raging Dragon, if you can claim back VAT you could always order from the States. I know Tank Guys does shipping to UK and its like $380 for E6600 + shipping. That translates to about £202 which is a bargain! But I don't know when they'll be in stock however!

Also, because it is being bought for the use of the "business" I can minus the total paid from my profits and make it more beneficial to me by paying less tax.
I probably will end up buying from OcUK as they provide the best invoices with everything listed as it should be.
I bought a 7900GTX from Dabs once and there was practically nothing on the receipt so I'm not fond of buying from them again.
Bollocks to it. I'm willing to pay £260 for a chip that canes the "top of the range" FX62 worth £600+ :woot:
And tbh, all of us on here know what that E6600 is capabale of! - So it's well worth it in my eyes. I see that as a bargain.
Ja, I feel like I've been kicked in the nuts by next doors 3yr old when I see it for £220 on Komplett, but as I say. I see £252 as a bargain.... personally.
Now knowing that certain places are just plain charging what they want is irritating. Oh and of course Gordon f'kin Brown has to take his share (where's that gun?!?!) and to top it off.... £8 P&P is a bit "bastardy" too. :slapass:

Ordered e6300 and gigabyte ds3 from scan.
gskill hz 2gb ddr2 800 from ocuk..
and waiting for my missus to bring the leadtek 7300gt extreme ddr3 from hongkong..
now my rig will be ready next monday :)
Dabs now got the E6300 OEM (Expected arrival Monday or Tuesday next week it seems) for £125. Think thats the lowest I have seen it and by about £10 compared to the £135 think everyone else is quoting, combine that with Dabs low postage costs then thats one cheap processor ... pity I want a E6600.
komplett is about the same price.Quote:

Yes Komplett is about the same price BUT they are not getting any stock for a month, Dabs are getting it after the weekend hence for people who want a E6300 now and can wait a couple of days they can save £10+ than going to scan or OCuk.Quote:

they have the 810 in stock well they webiste says they do anyway.
I have spoke to an intel channle rep today and asked about core 2 duo E6600 stock and they said middle of next month for all of the big trade suppliers.
this is ingram micro , microtronica and computer 2000.
so unless ocuk/novatech are getting them direct from intel i would say this will be the same for everyone.

Ive bought an E6600 and the Corsair DDR2 Cas3 ram from the US..saved me 150 odd quid.(which i can buy the mobo with)
Even if i have to pay the duty on it, i still gain. :)
Remember you have to pay duty at various rates plus vat. Plus even the delivery is taxed unless you pay the previous upfront, plus theres a handling fee.
Ive paid 50 pounds tax on 60 pounds worth of goods before now
i bought a HD sony cam off ebay US and i got caught by customs. thankfully, the bayer marked the item down and only cost me £20 on a £1000 camera :)

NAH!!! It's cheaper than most places anyway :D
I just bloody want mine. Specially been as bloody OcUK have taken out the £262 already. F'kin swines.

The great thing about Dabs is their returns proceedure and everything as well as the ability to customise the order right until it is processed for packing. And I don't believe they take money until it is in stock and ready to be shipped. I put in an order on Saturday because of the price but I might cancel it. I currently have no computer whatsoever except an OCZ 700W GeX. I sold it all. I'm just waiting around at the moment using my Thinkpad. I might get Conroe but I'm not sure. I sure as hell wouldn't buy a motherboard until some good ones come out a la RD600, nF590, 975X matured.
for :banana::banana::banana::banana: sake..
I come back from holiday expecting there to be a nice royal mail delivery card saying they came but I wasn't in but guess what, nothing.. check here and ocuk forums and what the :banana::banana::banana:!!! This is getting seriously annoying, I've had a pre-order on the 6600 on ocuk since 22 June and may not get it until 21st aug??:banana::banana::banana: off tbh! If ocuk turn out not to be the first UK stockist I'm gonna be so :banana::banana::banana:ing pissed off. No way will I even think about ordering from them ever again.
I find it hard to believe they only found out about this on the 24th. It's just not how things work...
Hey lawry - get it from Dabs - I believe they use the same supplier as OcUK and it will save you nigh on £40.
I would if I knew this earlier but I've come to far to cancel it now.. I'm probably one of the first on ocuk list and would be jumping to the back of the dabs queue..Quote:

Coem to think of it. I have nothing to complain about.
The DFI NF590 board ain't even out yet so the Conroe would be useless to me! I'm buying stuff slowly. I ain't loaded!
Brought so far:
E6600 (preordered)
Antec P180 (got)
7in1 floppy/media drive (got)
3x Sanyo-Denki 120x38mm 102.5cfm fans (on order)
Tuniq Tower 120 (should be here this week)
Sunbeam Rheobus (will be dispatched with Tuniq Tower)
Where did you get the Denki's Moonraker?
Nah I didn't leave OCuk, I just got busy with other stuff around this time last year after the X2 frenzy died down (at the time, £394 for an X2 4400 ). I couldn't find one that clocked reasonably over 2.5Ghz and so I settled for an old Venice 3000+ at 2.7Ghz instead until I got the Opteron in my sig at the start of this year.
I'll be an OCing newbie again with Conroe since I haven't had Intel desktop CPUs since my old P3-500 + ABit BE6-II back in 1999. I can see that the G.Skill PC2-6400 HZ is the DDR2 ram of choice at the mo but am undecided with the mobo. I know ATI and Nvidia won't be releasing their efforts for a while yet so it's either P5W, DS3 or BX
From a guy in the US. He got them and is shipping them over. I'll have a spare one if you're interested?!??Quote:

I might be Moonraker - one of my Denki's is on the blink. Either a Panaflo 38mm or Denki 38mm will be required to replace it. Panaflo is my weapon of choice because they appear to be ever so slightly quieter.
This one...?Quote:
