I've read from some other forum that after 636 the chip is not D9xxx anymore. Is it true? Correct me if I'm wrong.
I've not try them yet. Wait for the MB.
it is using D9Quote:

Got 530 4-4-4-8 w/ 2.4v. It won't go any higher even w/ Cas5. Need more voltage. :(
Just got my sticks, a bit testing at 2.55v http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=129723
hey all... first post ever here ;)
Just got some of this ram yesterday but I won't get my motherboard until Monday so it's tough waiting! I'm on a really tight budget so i'm trying to get the best performance for the $. I just bought one stick of F2-6400PHU1-1GBHZ with serial 63305101XXXXX, and plan to add another one later for dual channel.
My question is: will I be able to easily do this by finding another g.skill HZ 1 GB PHU1 or 2 stick ? Or will I have to look hard for (for example) PHU1 and a week batch close or exact the same as my one ?
Will report back on the performance of this anyway. Being a 6330, i'm assuming it IS a Micron D9 stick? Actually the serial is 6330 but on the packet it came in it has 063-1GBHZ wierdly ... ok thanks
You should always buy both sticks as a dual channel kit to guarantee the best performance and compatibilityQuote:

I know, thing is, I got a really good deal on this stick so I couldn't pass it up being so strapped for cash. I'm not convinced that dual channel kits are this inseperable set of a matched pair. Why would the manufacturing process change so much from one week to the next that incompatibilities would arise ? Sure, they've tested each pair to work with eachother but so what ? I bet 99% of the same line of sticks in most cases work together.
On X-bit labs there's been DDR2-800 test since yesterday. It seems that GS F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ performed rather poorly:
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mem...dr2-800_5.html
They also write that modules are based on Elpida, not Micron, chips.
I was almost sure to buy (here in Germany) HZ for my new C2D setup but now I have some doubts...
I wouldnt doubt. Crap review imho. Im using the 2GBHZ for some weeks now but didnt really test them yet..... Last night though i was looking for the max FSB on me E6600. With only 2.3vdimm they went up to 550 at 4-4-4-12, not too shabby id say :D

Yes, now I know. It's old #0603, so really Elpida modules. See However, the review was posted yesterday.
So, generally in Germany (VV Computer)/Europe we are getting new modules with Micron right now or still there's a chance that old ones are beeing sold?
I've got so far to 500 mhz easily and stabily at 4.4.4.10, so i'm really impressed with this stuff. Havn't tried any higher but I don't doubt it'll prob make 1100 like most others have done. Will grab another stick asap
Hello guys!
Can somebody help me, i will buy a new 6400-2gbzx kitt, and this is the s/n: 6370510017143 ...44 , what ic's are on this modules? elpida or d9xxx?
thx :D
