I havent done the VDD mod, but when i checked the voltage, it said 2.08 v.......weird....

the resistor for this mod is NOT at the card....
i often heard that some resistors are missing @ gtos

I just finished testing of my Sapphire X800GTO² card, this time cooled with R507 compressor.

The score is way too low since the 3DMark05 doesn´t like too much of Intel P4 cpus. I´m also running with Windows 2003 Server OS, so with Dothan or Athlon 64 cpu and Windows XP the score would be few hundred points bigger.

Anyways I achieved 106% overclock for GPU with Vapochill LS cooling.
I was able to run all tests through at 816MHz GPU speed with 1.78V vgpu voltage.

Unfortunately this is the "production" version of the card, so the highest available VDD & VDDQ voltage is 2.25V. With tight ("Eshbach") timings the memory maxed out at 645MHz.

Anyway, i had to do a clean install of windows, and now i can only go past 600 MHz on the core with ATi tool, not through tray tools. Any idea why? before, i could :stick:

Also, i tried the VDD mod. At stock, my memory wil do 615 MHz, s i raised it to 2.2 v, but then it wouldnt even do 615 MHz :stick: even 570 MHz caused artifacts :stick: . I removed the mod (pencil) and 615 MHz was fine. any ideas why the mod wont work?

The memory or it´s power cirquit is probably running too hot.
Enhance the cooling and you will probably see higher overclocks.

You used custom drivers taht you named Sapphire X800GTO T.S.A Edition based on 6587, that are non WHQL, may we learn more about them ?

It is just a normal Catalyst 5.13 display driver from ATI website, with changed device name for 5D52/1600/1002 gfx.

ROFL man.. that is nutso... You do know that 7800GTX's get around this score at stock.. funny stuff. absolutley amazing score.

OT nice score this was my score b4 i torn down system for s mb sale that fell through so i well put back together and see if i can get u :) :)

btw its a agp x800 so dont go to fast .. and u just solidified my choice to use 2 x850 in CF as x1800 to expensive 4 me

this sure is an odd card.. the thing crashes before it startrs artifacting lol, i got temps down to around 45'c with my zalmann, and itll run rught up to 591 just fine, 600 crashes without artifacts, so its got to be heat.

anyways, im going to try and mount an old AXP thermalright SP-94 onto it. That should do the trick hehe.

this is a 16pp C3D Gto BTW...

Would flashing to the C3D X800XT Bios be a good idea?
