Got my 730 hooked up :)
My RAM's running kinda slowly, 5:4 2-2-2-5.. It's 2x512 KHX BH-5, so they aren't exactly flying @ 2.85V :)

Should be able to get them to 250 with 2,2,2,5 PAT on with 3.4-3.6v
2750Mhz at 1.425v ? That's goood!! Where is your P-M 730 from, philipines or malaysia? and what's the Package date?Quote:

No don't know any waterblocks that fit without modding....
the lowest multi that really works is 9, 8 does not work, 7 gets you 6, and 6 does not boot weel at high FSB, thye best is 9 for your highest FSBQuote:

I guess those Kingston in your rig are bh-5 . Am i right ?
Is it possible when not having the right bios the system wont even post and the elco's / conducters make a peeep noise?
UTT and 875 865 don't mix so goodQuote:

What about the 915P and UTT? Anyone got info about them?
My mobo is :banana::banana::banana:ed, 1.6 vcore gives me 1.425... But wire mod isn't workingQuote:

I am not sure actually, i think they are TCCD, cause they can run at 3-4-4-8 at liek 250MHz 2.85V, but won't do more than 205 at 2-2-2-5. I have one module 512mb which i think IS BH-5, cause it runs 1005 stable at 225 at 2-2-2-5 and boots at 240 at 2-2-2-5, but as I recall it does not do cas3, only 2.5Quote:

MAYDAY MAYDAY :para:
I have a problem i have never seen.
With my dothan 760 with P4GD1 i cant do over 151fsb even with lower multis like 10x or so. So basically my maximum overclock is aroun 2250mhz(15x151)
I have tried both 100 and 133 jumper settings and nothing changes. Tried vcore from 1.4v to 1.7v. Tried to loosen the mem latencies. Tried to up the chipset voltage.
Cooled with boxed cooler around 48-60c and with water 42-56c <-- i think those are quite high temperatures as my friend is running his dothan under 40c with boxed @ 2600mhz.
What should i try next :dammit:
Raise the PCI-E bus or what the name is.
Got it in 110... but people have said you dont have to raise it before 220fsb
Believe me i have read that many many times. I even use the same bios settings.

Alot of distributers don't buy these boards cause they think it isn't a logical combo (s478+pci-e) and not futureproof (at the end they will have huge stock non-selling mainboards).Quote:

A dothan/7800gtx combo roxx :slobber: :D
*lol*, I guess we're lucky, we have an abundant supply of P4GD1 here =)
Here's all my sealed Pentium M + P4GD1 + CT-479 system: http://sleektech.nl/~dm/temp/ct479/pm-trio.gif
I am still too lazy to put them together :(
hey you dothan gurus. I was shoping around and want a nice cheepo powersolution. I looked around and some are considering the celeron M. I was looking around and I saw a cheep celeron M at about 83bux as boxed from intel and I saw a ct479adaptor for about 45bux. I own a p4p800-dlx (non e) so I figured I could build a nice little low power server or posibly a little monster for my games and give my main rig a breack.
So any thoughts on the celeron M ?
Any experiences overclocking these chips?
Do these chips sufer from the same problems the 400fsb dothans sufer from? (low fsb syndrome)
and how well do these things oc? (id like to see 2.4ghz out of it, 2.6ghz would be ideal yeilding me 200% clock speed) is this realistic?
Now I realise there are allot of threads around but frankly no one awknowleges the little celeron that dosent cast an arm and a leg.
Point being is, should I go for it or not?
