if you look at the toledo post above me, then you'll understand my gripe. that seems to be the norm with toledos, where as i have to up the voltage just to get to 2800. (but again, i think it's my mobo)Quote:

found mine at a local MicroCenter. all they had were 2 LCBIE 0618epmw, i grabbed the one with the lower batch # :banana:Quote:

not all mobo are built the same (like cpus). some get machesters (AB0) that do 2.8 on air while most toledos (AD0) do 2.8 on air. if you had the choice, you'd pick a toldeo (AD0) over a manchester (AB0).Quote:

I know every component is different. Just like two brothers. They are alike but not equal.Quote:

'sucked' is too intense a word. generally 'not as good' would be more fitting. if you had a machester that does 2.8 on air, would you say that sucked? if you had to choose between an AB0 and AD0, would you choose the AD0? it's luck of the draw...but i'd take my chances on an AD0 over an AB0 anyday.
I have a Toledo wich does 3Ghz at 1.4. Never tested for prime stable though cause of temps...
That's why im studying which components to buy for WC...
Hope to get things up and running next week or so...
That's one heck of a chip you got there.Quote:

Cheers bud - cancelled my scan order and ordered an toledo from aria :)Quote:

When will people learn that what you seen in CPU-Z is NOT actual voltage?
Like in many screenshots I see here, take GAK for example. No offence.
Sounded a little over zealous to me also.Quote:

If you somehow need any more confirmation i welcome you to my pm box. Or anybody else.
i don't think anyone's denying that there could be a diff between what cpuz reads and what's actual at the cpu...but we all need a point of reference...and since cpuz offers a voltage reading and we all use cpuz, we pretty much all use that as our point of reference. but agreed...it's not scientific, therefore is a poor point of reference...but for most of us...that's all we got.Quote:

DFI's voltage sensors are fubared and it's common knowledge, so BS.
Is it really that hard to understand?
I dont know what zealous means but I'm guessing you think I'm jealous? Let's just say that if I cared about spanking people I'd have a nice Conroe setup by now. And I have a nice 3Ghz stable Opty under water here crunching 24/7 so I dont know waht I should be jealous about actually?Quote:

whoa whoa whoa...easy man...
first, it wasn't my post you were originally refering to, it was GAK's. More importantly, no one is arguing with you, so don't feel like you need to defend yourself.
second, raybo's comment about being overzealous was in support of your comment. i.e. he's in agreement. he believes 3.0 @ 1.4v sounds a bit 'ficticious' if you will. i see you're from the netherlands, and perhaps not everything translates equally, but no worries man...we all hear you loud and clear and we're all on the same page. it's all good. :)
As u may have seen CPU-Z is shoing 1.408, wich is at bios 1.275x113%.
So to completely exact this cpu runs 3Ghz with 1.41 volts at bios, +/-1.408 real voltage...
As i've read some pages ago, someone was building up some theory that those small letters and the bottom of the cpu, "N" or "T" could have something to do with this...
And if im not in mistake this is the case also. I've had a N chip and now i have a T chip and their voltage/mhz relation is completely different.
