Tommorow should be very interesting.
Very interesting info Wayne, especially as the webpage shows May 6 for tray, welcome to the forums and keep us updated!

That's probably not right. Maybe they shipped the PSU alone. I just called Monarch now and the guy said they have none in stock, that you might have mis-read the e-mail.Quote:

Anyone know what multiplier the 3700+ Sandy will have? x10 x11 x12?
From what I have read, it has an 11x multiplier. For me the BEST bang for the buck right now is the 3700+. I love that AMD decided to include a budget version of the 1MB cache A64, two thumbs up for that.Quote:

I just hope that the 3700+ will oc better because if not then it would be a waste of money. i'm afraid the 1MB cache doesn't leave much room for ocing. also why is the 3500+ oem coming out before the 3700+ oem? odd.
Because E3 is coming out before E4.

It drived me crazy ! :dammit: and I 'm geting sick  of they changed date, I don't know what to believe, and what not to believe  They just keep changing, they shipping date, yesterday Monarch.com said that the 3500+Venice should be shipping starts (May-6th-05) today they changed to (May-20th-05) for ADA3500BPBOX, and (Avril-27th-05) for ADA3500DAA4BP (OEM) same-thing for others Models  :( how about tomorow ? what they gona change again ? Now my PC it's sold-out , the buyer just picked up about an hour ago, Now I'm using an old AMD Duron 1.3Ghz with an Main-Board that I can't even Overclocking a litle-bit, with it :( If thoses web-shops keep playing with they shipping dates, I think I'm going to  :brick: :frag: :shoot: :explode: :weapon: :hm:
At least you still have a PC! ;) I sold my DFI 754 and 3400+ NC on Saturday,Quote:

i understand that all of you really want these chips but think of it this way the longer they take to come out the more the chip will be well rounded im waiting as well but i rather wait to know a chip is gona live up to its name other then have them do what intel dose with the prescott rush it and have a half as(s)ed thrown together cpu and chipset its comeing it will officially be here next month it just takes time :)
good thing will come to those who wait. by this summer or end of the summer, yields on these venice and diego will be alot better. hence overclocking will probably improve too. depends on how this winnie 3200+ i'm getting will oc. if it's a good ocer, i'll wait till then to get venice or 3700+ diego :). i wonder how much surplus of winnie amd got or have they stopped production of winchester. if they put venice and diego into full production, then we're in good hands folks. if you got a winnie now, just wait a bit longer for this craziness to stop then get venice or diego. just my 2 cents :).
the new 90nm 940 pin opterons have been shipping for a while. they are 1mb cache just like the 939 E4 san diego's. i would have to think they are the same wafer, but the difference is in the packaging. so that would mean the manufacturing line producing them has been running longer than the E3 venice line. so san diego shipping before venice isn't so strange.
Is there the possiblity that AMD was having trouble with their fabs? The delay/shortage could be a reult of something atually going wrong when the chips were tested. Well, I dont know, I will be happy with winchester I guess. Ordering this weekend. :( :(
The E4's are already available, just not in the s939 ;)Quote:

http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/akiba...c_a64reve.html. correct me if i'm wrong, but i haven't seen a review of a 4000+ san diego. i wonder how this one will oc? hrmmm....
Ok I was forced to get the 3500 venice as:
1. I'm short on cash
2. Need to pay tuition
3. It ships the 27th.
However I have a doubt about the extended 3 year warranty Monarch has. Is that warranty with monarch or with AMD? Is monarch extremely picky with RMA's or are they fairly easy going?
Bottomline, should I get the 3 year warranty for the 15$?
Only if you plan on keeping the cpu for 3 years ;)Quote:
