amazing! with the new F6 i can choose 2 type of LLC
classic enabled and disabled
and
level llc 1 to 10
nice job gigabyte!
i made some testing yesterday with llc levels till lvl 7
here are the results
Frequency 4.5ghz
Vcore: 1.35v
llc enable idle 1.344 load 1.332
llc 1 idle 1.332. load 1.296
llc 2 idle 1.332 load 1.308
llc 3 idle 1.356 load 1.344
llc 4 idle 1.380 load 1.356
llc 5 idle 1.392 load 1.416
llc 6 idle 1.404 load 1.440
llc 7 idle 1.416 load 1.460
for me the best one was the lvl 3 cuz there is no overvolting and load the vdroop is less than the other options
best regards
Wow. I have been having trouble with this board ever since it came out with the original BIOS, and the best I could do was 4.2-4.3ghz 1.4v and underclock my 1600 RAM to 1333, and back off the timings a bit. With the official F6 I can run 4.5ghz @ 1.325v and RAM at 1600 with the correct timings. Very nice!
I have Z68XP-UD4(bios F5) and it runs great. There is only one problem.
I have Patriot Viper Xtreme Division 2 (2x4GB) 1600 8-9-8-24 .
I'm unable to get them stable at 2133NHz. The best i can get is the 1866MHz 9-10-9-24-1T at 1.48V
I dont understand why ASROCK Z68 extreme 4 I used to have worked perfectly at 9-11-11-24-2T and 1.65 volts with this ram.
F6 bios i got bsod alltime ingame and sometimes even idle. Last bios f3b settings same i even rised vcore 1,33 to 1,36v still bsod...
F6 is very stable for me, probably the best BIOS I have tried for this board. I don't use the multi-step LLC because I use DVID offset, but it works great and has my chip running 4.8GHz at 1.375v.
i am getting bsod with f6 with LAN reletaed stuff like configuring network or something similiar :S
Does the 1Amp USB charging only work on apple devices? I have a Galaxy Note which can charge upto 1Amp and connecting it to the ON/OFF usb port ( which is also the 1Amp USB charging port ) does not charge as fast as the original charge. Any insights to this ?
i made a discovery!!!
the message "do you want enhance cpu performance?" when is loaded the XMP profile, means the possibility to OVERCLOCK the L3 cache!!!!!
those who want to try, just reset the bios every time you answer the question of the performance enchance.
try aida64 memory test.
well ever i ask me what can be better with this setting...and ever say yes andrea thanks 4 the tip explanation.
SORRY IM NOT CLEAR!
the option "do you want enhance cpu performance?" appear only when you load a xmp profile (and i dont know why)
the only way to repeat the choise is to reset to defaul the bios and reload the xmp profile.
it do not have any inherence whith memory performance, but increase the clock of l3 cache.

when you put on it increases the bandwidth of the L3
everybody with aida64 can easily try
bye!!!!
Andrea: have you actually *TRIED* what I said yet ? Please try it before saying it does nothing :) There is no evidence that setting "performance mode" to extreme is related to memory instead of L3, and I can't really be bothered testing that right now...
Aside from benchmarks is there really a huge impact on this?

hi guys, i just bought a Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4 B3 revision 1.1 board and had couple questions. what is the improvement over the 1.0 board and does this board have the boot problems i read about through this thread. i tried reading the whole thread for the answer but did not see it. sorry if missed it :) i am going to use gskill ripjaws and a 2600K on it which are on the approved list for it http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...37&SID=rewrite will i see any issues using them? i plan on a modest overclock to about 4.2 or so, nothing extreme for me. thanx for any replies
I have a set of GSkill Ripjaws 6-8-6-24 DDR3 1600 sticks that worked great with my UD4-B3 at stock speeds, but at 1866 or 2133 the system would fail to boot 75% of the time and required every sub-timing to be set quite loose. The sticks are capable of running at 2133 and have done so in every other P67 board I've used without problems. YMMV, but those are my results.
You shouldn't have any problems reach 4.2GHz or so with low voltage. I would even say that 4.5GHz should be quite easy to attain. The UD4 overclocks well in the mid ranges but doesn't seem to have the muscle to really find a chip's limits.
Can anyone tell me the mechanics for this 1Amp charging on the USB port? I cant seem to get it to work..
Hello all.
What will the best BIOS be for this UD4 be?
and were to download it? :-)
Best regards.
for me F6 beta was best bios and best results in overclocking
Stasio any news about new bios for UD4-B3?
