I finally got through this a month a go :O too bad it took till now for activation to get through :shakes:.
but now that it has I can tell you that THIS IS AWESOME!
from stock pictures of the danger den products I wrote them off as completely ugly. but even without the nickel plating ( which looks awesome btw ) they look sooooo good looking in your photographs!!
you've gotten me more interested in taking nicer pictures ( my dad's a photography nut so that makes it easy to get my feet wet )

Hey, guys! It feels good to be back in the swing of things again after a bit of a break. Just want to let you all know that I expect to have the Zero-G chamber piece finished (finally) within the next week, except for paint. All the parts will be painted at the same time when all the fabrication is complete.
I know that it's taking a loooong time to finish up this piece, but deep into the fabrication of this item I've discovered what I believe are several ways to make it look much neater and refined. If all goes well, I'll be sharing my methods and approach of doing this and will have another little surprise on the side.
I imagine to some that this build seems to be all over the place sometimes, and I apologize for that. This is my first major project undertaking and, admittedly, many things could've been better planned. So as we go along, things continue to evolve and shape themselves into whatever my crazy mind imagines them to be. So far I think that pausing to rethink some design choices has resulted in a better product, and I hope that most of you feel the same. I keep my fingers crossed that it continues that way.

Keep plugging away. You'll get there. After each case I've built, I tell myself that I've had enough since it takes so many months of feverish work. Then I sit like I am doing now planning another build once the steam wears off and I start to get the itch to build again. I swear this modding thing is a disease. but at least it is a fun one. :up:

Things are coming along very nicely Xion. It seems like you are a better photographer then a case builder :) JK of course. I'm just curious how much did you end up spending on the hardware alone? It seems to be a VERY beefy system.

I can empathize with that. Once I get started on a case build, I want to practically spend every waking moment on it. It doesn't take long however at that pace to get worn out. Its so frustrating sometimes when you spend hours in the shop working on stuff only to finally stop and wonder what you actually got accomplished.
