performance level.its in the bios under advanced memory settings i think it called static tread value, but not sure without looking in my bios.
@ledge,yea i can boot all at pl 8 up to 540 fsb using 1:1 divider but above 540 pl 9
sorry for double post but i just got my 2nd set of cellshock pc8000. now just need to install 64bit OS and ill be good to go.http://i35.tinypic.com/oggrnp.jpghttp://i35.tinypic.com/mbmrcw.jpg
Nice results on ud3p:mad: thats 1:1 try getting that on the 10:8, or 16:12, and i will buy that board again in a second:D.
Umm I must be missing something? Whats so special about that screenshot?
4GB of ram running at 600MHz, at 500 FSB. Not bad.
Oh I see now, I didn't notice it was 4GB.
Good work
I am finding that it's pretty hard to hit 600Mhz/1200Mhz with 4 sticks installed. Do I need more V's on the MCH to push them higher or do I need more Dimm voltage?
I was able to hit 625Mhz 2.4v on my 680i with 2 sticks installed and 600Mhz 2.325v on my Abit with all 4.
I had a bad OC last night trying to hit 600FSB that corrupted my Vista install. It even deleted all of my restore points so, I had to do a clean install. Not a huge deal as the OS was fresh from Monday so not much data lost.
I need to get a HDD just for max OCing. Maybe a External drive?
thanks, funny thing was that when i got the 2nd set i was so exited i forgot to take the OC off(set optimized defaults)i just put them in and presto booted right up at500x8.5 mem 5:6-600mhz.
Ledge,
here are some of my settings for 500FSB 5:6 4x1GB at DDR2-1200

pangingIII that one with 1.30mch is pretty sweet,i didnt think it would be able to run 500fsb with 4 sticks with the nb so low.awesome going to see if mine will do it.
You guys are going to make me rip my system apart later and perform some tweaks if your not careful
Question; Anyone run any Cellshock PC8000 with G.Skill HZ PC6400? If so, do they get along together on an Asus and or other boards? Thanks.
Larry
i wish i could do that. my ud3p won't boot with 4 sticks. i tried with 4x1 gmh and 2x1gmh + 2x1gkx. no matter what i do and how much juice i pump on the nb and the ram 4gb won't boot.
care to post your bios settings for that? did you changethe pciex clock voltage also?
@radaja, You have some newer ram there, mine are dated 35/06 in cpu-z.
Larry
radaja,
here is a 4x1GB at 750 MHz DDR2-1500 (3:5) 5-5-5-18 - http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=461584
i don't want to buy any more 1GB DDR2 stick i wish i already had some good DDR2 that i can play with them. anyway, it seems to me like your ram kits should be able to overclock higher than mine, try them out.
radaja has already shown his bios voltage setting, they are in the ET6 that he posted.
have you tried changing ram slot around?
then other than that it's about the voltage settings that you need to set the bios, the most important setting is MCH voltage, MCH ref. value and vdimm voltage.
for 4x1GB at DDR2-1200, the rest of setting in bios are not that important, you can try leaving all of the bios's memory setting to auto, but set turbo and will get a decent memory timings.
well its not working for me. i tried that already and dozen of other settings. maybe one of my dimm slots is broken? well heck i give up on that now. 2gb is nuff for me.
electrosadist, here are my exact settings in bios.hope it helps.
also does this task manager look right, the amount cached and amount available?

I bought a kit of OCZ Flex 9200 off eBay that had GMH, but one stick was DOA so I RMA'd em. I got the replacements back last week but didn't think much of them as they have the new stickers with 2.1V specified so I figured they couldn't possibly be Microns. Out of curiosity I did open them and looking at the ICs, I didn't notice any "feet" on them like PSC have, but I guessed they must have been Elpida or somesuch. I intended on selling them on eBay but my curiosity got the better of me today so I popped the heatspreaders and saw some D9GMH ICs staring back at me :D
Nice find Shiranui, that would have been a surprise for sure.
Here's my latest SPI32M, 541 FSB/649.2 MHz, PL10, 1.44vNB, 2.24 vDimm, done with P5Q-Deluxe. The time is bad I was using the 6x multi
