8500GT sounds good
8600 GT's for $40 after MIR @ ncix.. hehehe ;)
The 8600GT's are getting cheaper here as well... Id go either the 8500GT or the 8600GT not too fussed really (the cheaper the better, then we can buy more of em to test :D)
8500GT are as cheap as £28 here in the UK I'd be up for another compo ;)
Why not wait for the 9400GS chips?
Well i am looking up different models of the 8500GT and 8600GT. Ya know. Finding the best ones :p:
8600GT looks to have many different PCB layouts, so probably gona find some have better PWM areas than others. Also could mean we will need help in figuring out the vmods needed.
9400GS may be a idea, but we don't know how easy it will clock or scale. Also everyone will probably end up with a, or close to reference model, where as the 8500GT or 8600GT will have many different options now.
I would vote for 8600GT, solely because there are alot around, many choices. Should make for a interesting battle.
