Hey guys I have a little problem.
My cpu running stabile at 5.1Ghz at 1.45 volt!
then I try 5.2Ghz it do.
First time it boot fine up, can almost run a 3dmark 11, then BSOD, and if I try to reboot it freeeze after it come into windows, then I can wait 20 mins and I can do the same again.
I got a big felling that my chipsæt being to hot!!
What would you say?
Temps on cpu is fine.
Thank you for the new bios. Will test it out tonight:up:
5.1Ghz even 5.0Ghz is sweet spot if stable ?
I can do 5.0Ghz stable at 1.45v , but this is high Vcore for 24/7 use (even with decent Temp.), so i down-clock to 4.4Ghz at 1.31 only, and i save much heat and power, and its more than enough for my games and every day use .
what is the best bios? 1101 or 1305?
with the 1305 bios, you can put the 1101, some have an error message
thanks :)

Also added an RX360 to go with my SR1-360. Got rid of those #@*$#@! BP fittings and got some Enzo angled rotaries. Didn't come out too bad. :yepp:

1.440 under load, I used to have an ASrock Fatality X79 which only required 1.425 under load to pass this same test. Any ideas why that might be?
*edit* I think I found out why. TRAS was set to 24 instead of the recommended 28 for the ram. Not sure why the increased CPU voltage compensated for this however.
I watercoole R4E and on the chipset there is a sheet metal, must be removed?
thanks :)
All of sudden my RIVE doesn't give me POST code - it's blank :(
Tried other PSU no help.
yes i hv tried everything i could. The board is dead & i hv packed it for RMA. :(
it happens after i put 2 sticks of RAM both on the left group of DIMM. I forgot to put back 2 other sticks that i used for my IB rig. :D
Initially it run fine in the windows for a few hours but later things went wrong when my system suddenly shutdown & then cant post anymore. Debug post shows nothing. No usb
For anyone having problems with system not coming out of sleep mode properly, what worked for me was setting VCCSA to auto. After doing that, I was not comfortable with the auto voltage running at 1.3v+ and have since set it back to manual and 1.28v and sleep still works fine. Setting VCCSA manually to 1.25 volts was no good for me. The system would hang upon wakeup after being asleep for more than a few hours. Incidentally, I am running my 16gb of ripsaw @ 2400/1.65v. Running memory at 1600 was another solution I found, but I didn't like that one!
LOL, I haven't done any major upgrading in a few years and just noticed my sig. That's hilarious! I thought I was smokin back then too! I just upgraded that rig to this RIVE a couple of months ago, running a 3930 and SSD's and other goodies. The PP&C psu blew up a couple of years ago and was replaced twice, eventually to the HX1000 I'm running now, along with 2x 580GTX's.
I'm inclined to update my sig but I loke looking at that old stuff!
help please :)
Samsung 830 is on the Intel SATA3, AHCI mode and the latest drivers RSTe
And I have questions for OC :p:
For the LLC cpu and vccsa, it is better to put it? "Medium", "High"? for stable voltages
And for these settings
CPU VTT Over-Current Protection, you set to Enabled?
DDR VTT Voltage, you put what?
CPU Clock Gen Filter, it's better to put on 20UF or AUTO
thanks :)
Hey guys, just bought a Rampage 4 Formula MB last week. I built the system a couple of days ago, but keep getting this error message on bootup the last couple of mornings after the system has been powered off overnight. "System unstable. Your CPU Ratio May Be down at 12x due to unsuitable conditions."
BIOS = 1202, CPU = 3930K (C2 stepping), RAM = G.Skill Ares 16GB (1600Mhz 9-9-9-24). I haven't even started overclocking the system yet, all I've done is load optimized defaults and change the RAM timings and voltage manually.
Does anyone know why that message keeps popping up on bootup?
I have a cold boot since I passed OC 4.5GhZ, it can come from what?
my settings
45x100
ram @ 2400MHz C10 (stable OCCT Large DATA and Hyper32M)
LLC CPU: High
LLC VCCSA: REGULAR
CPU Clock Gen Filter: 20UF
Vcore: 1.27v
VTT: 1.15V (same with 1.20)
VCCSA: 1.10
Vdimm: 1.65v
the rest in AUTO
for info, to 4.3GhZ (and same settings, and the vcore down) there is no cold boot
other info, if I switch from 4.5 to 4.4GhZ after the bios, boot the PC directly, when I go to 4.3GhZ after the bios, the PC shuts down and then boot
thanks :)
