Well then what gives me BSOD in your opinion??
I've tried 4ghz at 1.4625V NB at 1.1875V and that SOB still BSOD after 20 minutes... I think I'm gonna stay at 3.8ghz 1.4125V NB at 1.15V after all... at least it's stable.

whats your MB? Whats your DRAM settings (clocl, voltage, jedec)? Do you have BSOD at 4 GHZ/1.8 GHZ CPUNB? How high is your HT clock?
My NB temps were getting really high lately , 72?C idle . While the system got unstable already with 68?C so ..
Took all out and removed the heatsink . Then removed all that POS asus junk "paste" . Took me 2 hours to scrape off the paste alone , as it was hard as stone .
When putting it back together I noticed that all this time this northbridge cooler kept me from OC-ing higher than 4000mhz core stable . As 1.3V NB was needed for 4000mhz and it could barely handle that heat .
For 4200mhz core i needed 1.36V on the northbridge . This is so important that according to me everyone should mention their NB voltage in the list . It's much more important while oc-ing this thuban than fex. vdimm .
I'm pretty sure 4300mhz is doable , but will need more NB and vcore voltage . 4200 is nice and cool :)

SS shows CPU-NB 1.34V and NB 1.39V, what is the voltage set for these ?
What were the values for these two @ CPU Freq =4000MHz
So, if NB voltage is set lower you have no stability in general, no stability in stress testing program, or it does not boot at all ?
I really didn't know that NB voltage was that critical to stability. Right now i am only on 1.26V with my M4A79 4sticks of DDR2 and my 1090T 4.0/2.8NB
I have cpu 4200 and cpu-nb 3200 running stable . (need to find an 8 hour gap somewhere to provide a screenshot) .
Sad thing is that the 3200cpu-nb doesn't give me any performance gain . Upping the htlink to 2600 gives me gains in 3Dmark firestrike tho . But upping htlink adds 4?C idle temp to my NB ..
And while my NB is the limiting factor (runs 60+ degrees during Crysis3) higher NB temps is not something I'm looking for right now . Remember that NB temp of 68?C makes the system unstable .
very nice Thuban. What can this piece in benchmarks? Cinebench max clock and Superpi max? Thx.
Flank3r ,
these benches are run with my 24/7 settings (4200cpu , 3200 cpu-nb , 1600DDR3) , 24/7 OS (defender , antimalware etc running) :

I need a 1866 divider for better ram speed ;)
push it more, only for benchmarks :)
I think that for being able to gain from NB speed you'll have to also increase the Ram speed...these scores are almost same with mine in similar settings but with DDR2 :

Maybe you can try a bit higher ram, or even try with 2 sticks, just for bench (as Flank3r said)

I have to say I'm not really into suicide runs . All overclocks I do are meant to run 24/7 , else I feel like I'm wasting my time .
Maybe I try to overclock with FSB to get a higher memory frequency in the future . And when I do - and find it stable - I will definately post the result .
YOu can try Cinebench at maximum. ?y Thuban was stable at 4250 MHz in win7, but CInebench I can run at 4350 MHz at maximum :). Whats yopu ,ax Cinebench run?:) I think, this chip will be similar or a bit better, because my stability test was "only" 30minutes (I dont need more for tetsing)
Because you insist :
I'm not saying this is max , but will do for now .
4338 core , 3222 cpu-nb , 1985 DDR3 8-8-8-24 , 247 bus .

Here a Cinebench @ 4.4 ghz
http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/9025/h90o.jpg
Before lapping this was not possible ... Brought me some stability and 5C less.
If temperature was not so high, 30C degrees outside and at least 33-34 in my room because its under the roof, 4.5 ghz would be doable.
nice Thuban man. I have still one PC with Thuban 1090T.
