Does anybody know if the motherboard supports booting from a USB storage device?
I don't think it does but I can't remember exactly. Have you tried it yet?
Boards haven't arrived yet. :p
I was thinking of getting a couple of USB devices to save space/power if it was possible.
Alright I'm officially CRAZY... Oh wait, we knew that already :lol2:

You need more posts to view the for sale thread jacka
sparky what case are you planning on doing this in?? don't tell me cardboard..... :p:
i'll look around to see if I have any extra stuff I can send you. I have a GTZ waterblock but its a 1366 mount, none other :/
Not sure on case, yet. It WAS going to be cardboard, but I'm thinking with water that may not be such a good idea
By vga post i mean the first vga signal you get during post. The board boots from usb,i have seen it on the mystery topic!
COUGH COUGH HACK HACK I also happen to have four U2 solid copper sktF hsf and four U2 solid copper no fan heatsink HACK HACK COUGH COUGH
In all seriousness, that copper HSF I have is a NOISY fugger. I'm deaf, and wear hearing aids, but holy hell, that :banana::banana::banana: was LOUD. Imagine four 60mm fans @ 6000 rpm on 4p motherboard and you have a good idea of how it is. Hell, I don't even want to sell these to you guys... wouldn't want to be responsible for one additional deaf person! :ROTF:
If this can help somebody :

I'm thinking of creating an a condensed thread with everyone's pictures, just to flush my spam and our ranting :P It would be a lot clearer
I ordered four of those CoolerMaster Hyper TX2's but they sent me a different product. The Vortex 752. They lay down and I don't think they'll do the job. So back they go.
metal, I think thats an odd SSI-MEB layout for the formfactor, i'd say that SSI-MEB is more along the lines of XL-ATX than my understanding of SSI-MEB (most SSI-MEB I've seen continue above the top of the IO panel)
but yes, 16*13 is the right size, these armia boards are a custom formfactor though
yeah, otherwise they'd fit into a stacker 810...well, i guess they still might be able to, but you'd have to relocate the expansion slots above the IO shield
That's if you could find one. And that's a big if.
Alright I'm wondering if anyone might have an idea why this boards numbers are all over the place. On the 23rd it got 56k then on the 24th it got 7k. This happens about once a week.
Emailed 4 people on ebay that sell retention brackets and they're all reluctant to lower their price by much. :(
On a plus side, I'm in discussion with a supplier to buy eight Xigmatek HDT-S963 heat sinks and 4 XFX 650W PSUs. Will hopefully be under £12 and £60 each respectively.
I'm going with a mishmash of Apogee GTs and Fuzions and stuff. Used cheap blocks, then going to open air mount it on a piece of angle iron if I have to
Got a package today from a friend that had inside the following:
3x8800GT 512MB
1x8800GTS 640MB
2x8800GTX 512MB
1x8800Ultra 768MB
All faulty cards, but I've only tried the Ultra so far and it works perfectly. :D
