1.) Which mainboard?
2.) What cpu temp?
3.) Nice, i´m trying to get a fx53 too to replace my fx51 ;) (can you get me a retail one fast? ;))

HOLY SH|T THOSE COLORS ARE KILLING ME!
i love this colors ;)
what mobo for oc an a64 3200 ?now i have an abit kv8 max3 but it's not lock pci agp :s
AN50R for poweroverclocker's who wants more than 3,5 to vdimm
or gigabyte K8NPRO for soft OC.
Ok, Now that I have a Decent Overclock to show.. Time to post it:
Shuttle AN50R with Vdimm and Vcore Mods
Athlon64 3200+ (CAAAC 0345SPMW)
OCZ PC3200 Plat LE (2x256mb) @ 2-2-2-5 @ 3.6V Vdimm, 5:4
Prometia Mach I (no Mods) for Cooling.
3.6V for 220MHz ????
way too much voltage man...
edit: forgot my manners, nice clock, :)
Too Lazy to Take the Vdimm Down whem I was Running 1:1 ;)Quote:

Hi guys!
I just got my gigabyte K8N non-pro todya because my Shuttle An50R was sick :( Well, is this K8N a very bad overclocker or what? I cant get it stable at 2200MHz... I've tried all kind of vcore selection in bios...
Whats wrong`?
I dont know if its the mobo there's seeing the wrong kin of volts from my PSU, because MBM5 says that:
Core 0: 1.49v
Core 1: 2.52v
+3.33 : 3.22v
+5.00 : 2.85v
+12.00: 11.19v
They are very lower than they were on my shuttle :s
Could a bios update be the solution?
well your 5 v is a joke...
just 2.85v where it is supposed to be around 4.82v
its must be your PSU
No, it is'nt my PSU... On my shuttle an50r it was around the 4.85v
It is your settings in MBM5, when I change something in my settings my voltages act the same way...
Okay... But is the K8N mobo a bad overclocker? Because i can't get it stable at 2200mhz... even at 1.7vcore
Are you clocking throug BIOS or using ClockGen..?
I have heard that the K8N has problems when trying to boot with more that 230Mhz FSB, could be that problem you are running in to..
I have set vcore to 1.700v, LDT to x2.5 and chipset and vdimm to +0.3v in bios and booting up at 210x10...
Increasing fsb with clockgen to 220, and even there it is not stable at all!
Damn... I dont know what to do`?
it's not a bad board. it is a well known good overclocker. it does have some quirks but then again they just about all do these days with us doing all the beta testing.
Have i done anything wrong since it wont get stable?
My 5v line is like that too guess it must be the board.
I posted a couple of weeks back about my oc and someone wanted to know the codes on my chip finally got around to fitting my watercooling setup so here they are.

I've gained a small oc from using water gone from 2260mhz to 2328 mhz stable. 1.7v, my psu seems very bad so i think thats holding me back. Im 44C full load 29 idle.
i think my shuttle AN50R is dead too
anyone know if the a64 3200+'s from newegg being shipped out now are CG stepping or still C0 stepping?
i know the mobile ones are CG just wanted to see if the nonmobile ones were as well.
hello, I can't beat 265 1/1 with my k8n pro and my 3000+ . however I bench stable A 320 of fsb with the RAM in desynchro 166. my RAM is A-data 4000 .
same results with 2,6v or 2,9v 265 stable but not anymore
now i can do 8,5x280 synchro 1:1 with a litle gain of performance.Quote:

i can beat 4x320 in synchro 1:1
why i can't do more than 280 with a cpu frequency near 2400mhz ?
the X8 multiplicator seems to work bad , but with 7,5 multiplicator it's the same : can't reach 280 .
actually the best combo for me is 8,5x280 , it give me the best performance but i want a litlle more .
:stick:
edit: i know the memory isn't running at 280 when i set a x.5 muliplicator , it run at 266mhz
