thanks for the SG mods !
Here is how I did it. Go into the folder of the version you want, rename background_V??? to just background and smart_V??? to just smart. Relocate these files to your ITE/smartguardian folder. Seemed to work for me.
So, is Dark the highest clocker with a 3733.3 Mhz clock speed (e6300)? Who has gotten the best results? Configuration?
Brendan
Good deal @ Tankguys right now on this board.
God damnit!!! I bought this board about 2 weeks ago for 150. I don't mind price drops after say..... 1 month or 2 after buying but DAYAM!!
Thanks for the themes. Those are badass.

I am battling to get over 600mhz on my ram.
Running 2:3 div
4-4-4-10-4-32-10-11-11-10-8-6-6-5-10-10
Both enhanced things on fast, rest set to auto.
Any ideas how to get 600?
The ram can make it. They hit 593mhz @ 2.35v but even @ 2.45v and cas 5 they won't make it.
I've had a very pleasant experience with this board so far. Way too easy to be honest. Memory dividers aren't working very well but I wasn't really interested in it so it's no biggie. Besides, it seems like the board is already tuned very well for 1:1, performance-wise.
Dumb question: does the non-S version use the same BIOS as P965-S?
Thank you.
OK, thanks for your answer. I didn't looked, that's why I asked here directly. :D
BIOS update here I come. :D
Anyone know where the voltage measurement point are on this board?
Awesome thanks :D
Awwe no :( I was hoping that the 1.72v I had to use for 4ghz was a tad off :( Seems unlikely.
Either board is deteriorating or 703 bios is weak. I was getting random program crashes at my overclock, so I pulled out the priming again, and sure enough, it fails.
I just put the new bios on my board, but only had time for memtest (24 passes on test 5 before I turned it off) and memtest for windows (up to 1000% error free). Haven't had a chance to prime yet, so I'll do that when I get home. So far it's a lot better for me than 613 was.
Also I picked up a second one of these boards with a higher serial number than my first one and it doesn't run nearly as well. NB gets VERY hot even with low voltage and as such I can't get higher than about 450FSB on a E6300 (not the same one as my 100% overclock but it should be able to do 500FSB) and another set of 2GB Patriot RAM that I had already tested at DDR2-1000+
This seems to be consistent with what people are saying where newer boards aren't clocking as well. Well, except for the whine, which I haven't noticed on either board.
I have also heard the 703 bios does reduce system performance. I'm running the 613 bios right now with no issues.
The NB heatsink has some nasty crud on it. Your best bet is to clean that crud off(it's very sticky and difficult to get off but with patience it WILL come off). Replace it with some AS5 or Ceramique(I used ceramique)
I did that as well as dremeled the 'T' portion of the heatsink off and mounted a 40mm fan in the center(my scythe infinity overhangs the NB which is the reason i had to use a dremel). In an 80F room my idle NB temps are 30C. Load temps are approx 35C. Never goes above 40C.
