OK so I haven't done alot of reading. IS IT AT ALL POSSIBLE to run 2 C3D X800gto's in Xfire? At all?

No!
im gone test my sapphire GTO² withe a sapphire xtpe bios in cf , and gone buy me a mastercard from his :D .
normal withe a mastercard and a x850card u can run crossfire but no go withe 2 x800GTO or GTO² ;) , btw GTO² from sapphire are not made any more :(

nice clocks el snorro ;) .
hope to join u there :p:
are the new ones locked or not?
if not im gonna buy one soon
still testing on watercooling

so thats it for now it a new WR in the classe of x850serie , dos some wanne know how to get rit of the coldbug in the ati bios ? .
temps are like 19°c idle and 24°c load .
bud i cant run 05 higher for now i think i need a good vmod not the crappy pencil mod on the card .
no artifact during the run ;)

Just finished the mods of GTO² T.S.A Edition (prototype).
This card is supposed to be used by customers, so I made the mods little different this time.
I didn´t use a resistor for GPU mods, but I used VIDs instead. The voltage can be adjusted via jumpers so the customers do not necessarily need a multimeter. They just have to install the jumpers correctly and they will know exactly how much voltage is fed to gpu. The gpu voltage can be adjusted between 0.00V - 2.00V, but the warranty is voided if 1.65V exceeded ;)
Since VDD & VDDQ voltage cannot be changed by VIDs I used variable resistors with safety features. The voltage can be adjusted up to 2.35V. There is another variable resistor added in cirquit (one for VDD & VDDQ) to make sure that the resistance doesn´t drop below certain point (that corresponds 2.35V).
I used some Microcool and Coolermaster heatsink for the power regulation components.
As usual, I attached them with Arctic Silver Adhesive.
For the gpu I added custom made 600g pure copper heatsink.
It can keep the gpu temperature under 50c in full load and 700MHz clocks.
I had to run some 3DMark05 with the last version of the "prototype" card.
The card is pretty much an average overclocker, but it is still doing pretty nice with quite weak fan. I selected 1.60V for the gpu, and 2.2V for the memory (VDD & VDDQ).
The memory will be doing much higher, once I install the heatsinks.
Sapphire X800GTO² T.S.A Edition: GPU 705MHz (1.60V), Memory 651MHz (2.2V).
Intel Pentium 4 670: 4505MHz (18x250) 1.38V
Asus P5WD2 Premium
Corsair 5400UL 1GB Kit: 375MHz 3-2-2-4-2 / 2.2V

Stilt that is by no means an Average overclocker. That is the best Gto2 i have seen to date..
According my binning experience with few hundred cards, it is ;)Quote:

with your binning experience, did you vmod all of the cards and see if they would clock to 700, or did you just clock them on stock cooling? I ask because if you did the latter of the two, then that isnt the best of judge of where the card will max out.
in any case what in the world were u doing with 100's of X800GTO2's?
I tested them with stock cooling and voltages in high temperature enviroment.Quote:

The best cards did 610MHz - 630MHz gpu and 600MHz - 635MHz memory with stock cooling. Because I didn´t want to use the best cards for testing (prototype), I picked up an average card that did 590Mhz gpu and 613MHz memory at stock.
These mods that I use, will make almost any card run like hell ;)
thats a real sweet card you got there stilt.
been playing with my gto2 some more today as been experiencing problems with stability in some games.
i put the vdd up to 2.3 a while back, and didnt think much of it, but ive gradually been haing to lower my mem clocks over the weeks as games kept crashing.
ran atitool artifact scan and the mem wasnt even stable @ 605, so i thought i might aswell lower the vdd as it probably dosent need as much at lower clocks, so i put it back to 2.2 and artifact scanned and it went straight up to 630, and has kind of settled @ 625 artifact free, the ram is heatsinked and has a 120mm fan blowing across it, rather strange i thought
I want those mods :O
I want this board, if only this GPU could taste 1.8V @ -30, 9000 @ 3dm05 :D
Are these still all unlocking? I'm thinking of getting either a GTO2 or a X1600XT, if these are still modable this might be the better option.
I think NO GTO2 more coz X850XT drops the price to that level ;)Quote:

So which BIOS turned out to be the best? I'm still using the techpowerup one and get ~7200 in 3D Mark 05 @ 640/615 MHz on stock cooling....
Tweak the ram timings, get some boost :DQuote:
