You mean the G6 coupe looks similar to the Altima Coupe. The Altima has been in the works for 4 years..:p:
 Oh I forgot, GM developed the G6 coupe, which was released before the Altima Coupe, overnight.....
So no, I don't mean it the other way around. You can't claim first prize if you came in second. And besides, I think I already stated that there is no prize. :):horse:
Dont worry Stewie, just nothing you can do about fanboys and haters, unfortunatley we have some on here that hate certain car makers.
Oh BTW, did you see the G8 wagon, Stewie?

Yeah. I hope they bring that Commodore wagon over here as a G8 wagon. It would be so convenient for me. Snowboard and gear in the car, my bike... But I wanna see if they're going to put out a G8 GXP... Rumor has it, they're bringing the G8 production over here, instead of importing. I'm betting the GXP will be on its way then. ;)
Heck, I think even the Ute would be an interesting addition. Then you'd have the G8 Sedan, the Wagon, the Ute, and the rumored G8 Coupe, possibly to still carry the GTO name.
Then the Alpha platform G6 replacement... Its gonna be sweet for Pontiac fans!! :)
The wagon is almost a sure thing, I think it makes scence to give the Dodge Magnum a run. I dont think the Ute is a good fit.
@ the pontiac ... not to offend but thats one of the ugliest coupe's i have ever seen!
its lines, panel length / size to proportion for the rest of the car, bumpers, rear lights, even the alloy spokes dont fit. it reminds me of that of that hyundai accent coupe & early hyundai coupe's
Agreed, the G6 is an ugly car. Could be saved if it's nice to drive, but it's not that, either.
Nissan didn't need to spend years having meetings to make the Altima coupe, they knew from the start what it would be. A more sporting looking version of the Altima saloon, with styling cues taken from the G35 coupe. Firm up the suspension a bit and lively up the interior with better seats, and you're off. :p:
At least I'm not the only one who thinks so about the Pontiacs. Not to bash you if you own one, I just never liked their styling...this goes way back to any Pontiac I can remember.
only ponts i like are the 70's TA, the lt1+ TA, and the newer GTO's
Anyways, back to talking about cars without worrying about haters.
Im not into the Ute myself, and I doubt they'd bring it over here. But it has a unique appeal. I think a Sedan, Wagon, and Coupe would be plenty though. Then with the G6 redesign, which will likely come in coupe and sedan versions only without the convertible (maybe plans for another kind of convertible, maybe the G5 replacement). The Torrent will be replaced (thank god).
I liked the Grand Prix GT and GTP models pre 2004.. And I wish my G6 had more aggressive forward styling. But from what I've been reading, its looking quite like the design appeal will be changing. I already quite like the G8... Very sporty.
The G6 rumored to be a Torana rendition from American origins, not an import, would be another positive addition. Obviously those Ozzies (yes I said Ozzies) over at Holden are quite good at design as of late. It can only mean good things at Pontiac, I think. Finally :).
But I still like my coupe, its grossly under-rated. But everyone has their opinion. I happen to like it. The difference is, I'm not going to force anyone else to like it if they don't. ;)
Being an American citizen of Asian ethnicity, I take exception to your comments about carb content. In Asia, the majority of our meals consist of either rice or noodles. There SURE are a WHOLE LOT of very F-A-T Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean and Thai people in this world.
I sure love my freedom fries, linguine, panini, crepes, waffles and my bagette... those all come from the European continent.... Someone must have introduced carbohydrates to America, and it sure ain't the Native Indians.
I'm a huge fan of German cars and I was going to side with you... until your American bashing.
All in all, Pontiacs future is looking good!
And you are entitled to that opinion. But historically, cars and politics are 2 subjects where people think they have to "convince the other guy." I don't remember recently attempting to convince someone else that their taste is of garbage. So I would appreciate the same courtesy.
I'm not a fan of american cars... I have a gripe with them when it comes to reliability... considering I own a ford, that gripe is still growing...
QFT! The T/A WS6 is one sexy beast :slobber: The rest... bleh.
Hah I haven't had any issues (YET) with the infamous ford reliability but I do have a gripe with their engineering disasterpiece known as the 4f27e transmission. I hope this thing rots in hell with the retards who designed it.Quote:

lol, this kid that wanted to run me couldnt because his trunk lock broke 2 days after he got the car, i thought it was funny.
and then a week later when we did get going, he kept saying he lost because his 2nd gear wouldnt work at high revs (synchro was busted).
i've got about 60k miles on my current tranny, and the 3rd gear syncro likes to fight with me everyonce in a while, but it's pretty rare(happens during regular driving as well)
and my clutch is fubar but has yet to slip(grabs at the very end of the clutch throw). which im getting fixed this week.(gotta think though, i put my car through hell almost daily.
and guess how much it's gonna cost me.... 550 AFTER labor, that's an HD clutch, with pressure plate, and bearings installed. i'de like to see you get that kind of cheap price on a mitsu/import.(excluding bmw's bought in the past 3 years)
the WS6 definantly is one sexy masterpiece, but i still prefer the SS camaro.

Yes, it was designed by mazda. That's why it bears the Ford name, Ford transmission nomenclature, and is used in the Ford Focus. It's like saying the Mazda MZR is a Mazda motor, when it's just a slightly modded duratec.
Ford/Mazda has one hell of a trick going on here. The uninformed, (like my mom) who refuse to buy american because they are unreliable, buy a mazda because they're japanese. Little do they know they're basically driving an american car.
