We'll know soon enough, I don't think one site being shorted is enough to remotely quantify a shortage.
However I don't expect any card in this segment to be high volume to begin with.

Here is the unboxing of asus gtx 590 which original uploader removed from tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn92O4l4XzQ
Its going to be a paper launch. A very soft paper launch...
Well Anandtech (or TechReport) is not the bastion of neutrality but they're better than HWC's obvious slant toward Nvidia, with each nv card usually getting a roundup of different brands. The only thing you can really get from that is Nv have better stock coolers :shrug:Quote:

Indeed ... but with your words what i understand is that non-reference products from both Asus and EVGA ( and etc :P ) will be launched... i'm not saying tomorrow of course ... :)
But it's inevitable ... although the GTX590 "works" ... the fact is that with 0.875vid and temps at full around 70's ... don't give much free space for Oclocking and this card gets a really bad handicap ... and before the card is known as "the slowest of the 2" ... there must be some offers with more radical cooling ... and, who knows, better power phase design? :D
But i must see how the over-volting will impact in the core frequency ...
What's that supposed to mean?
NVIDIA played it well this time around IMO. They had their partners seed anyone who didn't get a reference board. Unfortunately, there are never enough cards to go around to every publication that wants one.
Also, from my understanding it will be a hard launch.
why?
asus youtube video up again

I really like the idea of this card for GPU computing (# cores really matter). It lets you have 4 GPUs in a 2 slot budget system (LGA 1156).
Can anyone explain how the fan can cool the card when it's not even sitting on a heatsink? It seems like it would suck hot air from one heatsink into the other one.
I'd be willing to bet that throwing a fan on top of each heatsink/vaporchamber would allow overclocks up to stock GTX 580 speeds.
the dBa and FPS graphs are the same :)
looking at the photos, it's a little bit hard to believe the 5cm difference between both cards.. it look like there's 1.5cm difference max.
