Just to upgrade for the sake of upgrading.....if you don't mind tearing your loop apart repeatedly, spending your money twice....sure, it's a great upgrade. But if your loop is already functioning well, ie. keeping your cpu/nb/gpu/whatever's temps under control satisfactorily, then of course it isn't worth the upgrade.
But if one has to have the latest and greatest, it's there to buy and try. And that compulsion, which is in all of us to some extent, is what makes the consumer market turn.
So, as has been said so many times before, it's up to you to decide if it's worth the purchase or not....of either this component or any other.

I did upgrade to v2 myself but because I needed a 2nd cpu waterblock for my HTPC. I took the opportunity to upgrade my main pc to v2 then use the v1 on the HTPC but both ran similarly well so both is good imho :up:Quote:

Since all the above are quality resellers and the price of the block is the same at every one of them, I'd suggest putting one in each place's cart and seeing what your shipping would be and buy the cheapest shipping. You cannot go wrong with any of the above.
Honestly, to Krakow, Poland, you ought to be buying from the UK. Shipping costs from the US is going to be murdersome. Plus, many of the retailers listed above are open minded to intl. credit card orders, but most US retailers are close minded and prejudicial the moment they see "Poland"
Don't they have it next door in Germany ?
Its cheaper for me in norway to buy from US rather than UK...
I've heard that before from a lot of overseas, to us in the U.S. at least, enthusiasts. Seems a lot of companies hike their prices significantly when selling in Euro. vs. the prices U.S. buyers are charged.Quote:

I just received my GTZ from Gary at Sidewindercomputers and I'm very impressed so far with the quality. One thing I initially noticed is that the base is very thin and the backplate is very substantial. I'll get this setup and going shortly but I'm excited. BTW I love the mounting hardware it comes with, no guesswork or losing any pieces. There is a C clip on the back side of the mount that prevents the springs/washers/screws from falling out. I'm sure this will look great on my Maximus II Forumla.

All these companies are good for overseas shipping except Jab-tech that only delivers to UK in Europe. They don't want your money if you live in Poland or for that matter Germany, France, Spain and Italy and so on. However if you happen to live in Guam you can buy from them... :up:Quote:

Why would you if you are using the same block each time? The mount is essentially the same, in operation, as the EK or D-Tek backplate, both of which also require removing the motherboard for initial installation of the backplate.Quote:
