The GB is nice but i need 2 free PCI lots with when 2x 4970x2 are in use :D
Im waiting for AM3 DDR3 but how long until DFI gets a mobo out for it ? as i still have yet to see others manufactures with the layout i need.
I can say this much D.F.I will get the hooks out of their ass now with really good Bios releases now that there is something worth while in the AMD Oveclocking Silicon Department:yepp:
i thinks its the cpu, but thats more of a feeling. Bad luck or the better ones of those 0849 simply became 940BE's.. Other people with 0849 920's reach similar speeds to mine. or you had good luck ;) whatever, im pleased with it and perhaps i'll try an am3 version once they get out ;)
ddr667 doesnt work for me also, but that was the case with older bios and pI as well...

i use this one for pwm
and these (2nd picture) for nb/sb

just pm these guys, they speak english, with shipping overseas its little expensive but nice handmade and custom-designed coolers...
NICE:D I swear you just cant get any better then German Craftsmanship:yepp: Most of the finest Hand Tools I have ever owned have been Crafted in Germany:up:
@Olli.. What are your thoughts so far on this 1/16/2008 "Beta" ? Are you finding that stable voltage set on 12/26/2008 for O.C is not passing OCCT 1hr High Priority on 1/16/2009?
yep :yepp: only thing with the pwm cooler is, you have to buy it without "cpl-cooler plate". and be careful with these tiny screws. the copper plate at the bottom doesnt like having them tighten too strong, then the screwholes will be damaged...
@ beta: w000t i didnt know theres a 1/16 beta. I'll try it out.... edit: were do i get it? cannot find on beta site yet...
Looks like on M2RS (SB600) doesn't any settings for CPU-NB voltage. If I want high NB clock I need the k10stat or AOD to increase it. CPU vcore on bios was at 75 mv + and failed prime test in 2 mins with 3 attempts. It seems to last longer with K10stat with CPU vcore @ 1.325 vcore and NB @ 1.375v
got it... thanks!

works ok for me so far ;)
bios overvolts less so voltages are little lower.. measured with dmm also...
I do not have a DMM so when you say Bios over volts you mean in actual fact confirmed with DMM? If 1.3565v is Set on CPU/CPU-NB then what is actual through DMM?
I know that you need to set voltage Higher in Bios to get actual:shrug: for me 1.3565v set yields me 1.34v showing in BIOS as well as CPUZ what the actual true values are I cannot confirm with out DMM:yepp:
As far as Vdroop this Board has none! 1hr OCCT High Priority CPU from start to finish CPU Vcore is Dead flat across the Board 12v . 3.3v , 5v , 5vsb all Flat Line without Fluctuation;)
Found my issue seems my Opti UPS is giving me Issues probably need RMA after 2 years. Plugged PSU Power cord in to Monster Cable Surge Protector and no more Failing Prematurely with same voltage set in Previous 12/26/2008 Beta Bios.
HT scales higher then 1.8ghz now, New layout is Good considering they Provide no documentation on HEX map Out beyond certain Point:rolleyes: kinda really liked setting up cpu/nb OC through HEX but I suppose this is for the best if its going to be a universal Bios Layout across all D.F.I AMD Boards because this will expedite quicker and better Bios Releases due to less mental shifting for the bios engineers from board to board.
Notice same OC same settings in previous 12/26/2008 bios yields allot less Latency compared to this one!
mmh i use % because i'm on cnq and thats what i know about it:
setting 1,35v (auto) + 110,13% should give 1,487. with the 12/26 cpu-z is reading 1,508v, dmm is reading 1,512v
with the 01/16 bios i need 110,29%, should give 1,489v, now cpu-z is 1,504v, dmm is 1,510v, so its less then with 12/26 at one voltage notch lower.
i dont have the time to test right now but i will do, measure what it gives the cpu when 1,3625v are chosen in bios.
Vdroop i must agree i dont have either. Stock plain voltages in OCCT graph, at least vcore....
@olli...........Have you noticed any General NIC Latency increase with New Beta Release? This 1/16/2009 Beta has a hell of allot more Latency in General compared to 12/26/2008 Beta confirmed with Everest Cache & Memory Benchmark:yepp:
I know you are using Vista 64 but do you have dual Boot config with XP32 Bit that you can check on?
Please check Vdimm with DMM as well Please.......These past few Bios Release Really Need the Voltage Tables in Bios Looked into by the Bios Engineers so as much you can bring forward with DMM and submit it to RGone so he can pass it onto Taiwan would be very helpful & Beneficial.
ok i'll test today evening..
campbell, where can i see NIC latency wirh everest cache and mem bench? mem latency so far is fine (50.x ns which is good for phenom...)

2.6 HT, 2600 NB, 3800mhz, mems performance has certainly improved....
laterzzz....
OK, Now the only reason you have gotten that Bios is to submit feedback and check for issues.
Myself, Oese and you are the only ones that have this Bios so help the cause and see if you can find any issues please.
Remember don't give this Bios out to anyone explicit instructions from Taiwan:yepp:
Campbell;)
"to submit feedback and check for issues."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
roger on that, now where/whom do I submit feedback to?
Send to "Robert" (RGone) @ DFI Club he will forward the info to Taiwan
P.S..........If You "Beta" Test and hose your chip doing so you can send it to me and I will Re- Program it for you "Free Of Charge" (Not Shipping) it will be about a 4 Day turn Around From You To Me and Back to You shipped U.S.P.S 2 Day Priority Mail . That is if you live in the U.S of Course.
Just Remember if you agree to Test then that's what you do that means look for any and I mean any short comings or Problems with Beta Bios no matter how small. I offer this Service as a courtesy to those people who elect to help the cause.
Campbell;)
Second 940 installed on the M2R, this is one sick CPU compared to the first one, running instantly @3.91gig, 1.5vcore, 1.35NB, 19x206.......I think this one has 4 gig possibilities..
Gonna bring her along slowly, or NOT:shocked:
Laterzzzzz
