My 2900pro died last night :p:
I tried to flash it under Windows, but it didn't go well.
Ok finally found it today after the work i will try to kill mine to :D
No, my E6600 is at 8*550 (look my settings picture), but ORB is getting crazy when multiplayer of CPU is different from stock multiplayer, in my case it's 9. I'll very happy if my CPU is on 4947MHz but for this I need frozen cascade or LN2;)
With Cat 7.10 I've passed Mark 06 on 932/2478.

Now with Cat 7.11 I've passed at 954/2466
Different in SM 2.0 is 5976 against 6024
SM 3.0 is 6482 against 6642 Marsks.
But if I have to be exact I have to make tests on the same settings with both Cat 7.10 and 7.11. Different is now with 7.11 I can run at 954 what was imposible with 7.10 before. I
driver 7.11 ned more volt to gpu :confused: hmm nice driver from ATI 300+p more in 3D-mark06 :up:
amazing clocks, well done man.... the pro's really do well with a voltage bump... i just swapped out 2 xt's for two 3870's and i'm wondering what fps you are getting in the crysis demo.... thanks for any info... let me know what settings you use and i'll duplicate the bench so we can see any extra performance with these cards......
no tweak in driver:D ATI 7.11+ ATITOOL 2.7b2;) 3D in atitool set to 1.3v fan 100%:D

Don't give up hope, if you have a bad flash, and the PC boots up but there is no video, you can boot off a floppy and use ATIflash and flash back to your stock bios blind. I've had to do this more than once and it works. If the computer won't even boot with the video card in, there is a way to use a PCI video card to boot and flash back your old card. I don't know exactly how this is done, because I've never had to do it. Search google for "failed atiflash" (without quotes).

can not read pro bios:down:
Well since the modded bioses are not working for me, I have been playing the the voltage adjustment in ATItool .27b2. The bugs are aggravating, but I have achieved an insane high overclock on the memory, 100% stable on the pro bios with tighter timings than XT:

volts:
vddc = 1.163v
mvddc = 1.675v
mvddq = 1.965v
It' possible to HEX edit the bios to any voltage desireable. BUT, for some reason the card does not recognize higher voltage than 1.35.
This is strange, because by using Atitool higher Vgpu than 1.35 is achiveable.
Still 820... but nickless said that he had a higher stable overclock with the bios flash 1.35 than he did with 1.35v set with ATITool. He also suggested to me that maybe it is something with my motherboard that is preventing me from flashing with a modded bios. That is the best explanation I have heard yet, but I am to lazy to test if it's true...
I've been busy all night trying to flash my card. This is something i did many times with a few other cards. This 2900pro seems unflashable. I tried the 820c950m.bs bios, the XTMOD.bin bios, and modded my 2900pro bios with 1.2vgpu (stock is 1.15 set in bios, 1.2v for real). Flashing goes OK, but no signal. card dead as hell. I now run with a stock bios :S. 003 also has this problem.
Ok so I am not the only one.
I have some questions.
ownage, what motherboard are you using?
Are you on stock cooling for the video card?
How many fan connectors are on the card, and how many are being used?
Do you use dual 6 pin cables or one 6 pin and one 8 pin?
Are you using a seasonic or seasonic built (ex: corsair) psu?
What are the answers to these questions from people who can successfully flash their cards?
Both negative in my case.

Ive edited my own pro bios with the voltage modification tool . (dont like xt bios since its slower)
Put it on 1.2v 3d gpu . i tried 3dmark and crysis at 880/999 no problems so far .
only thing with me is : my voltage regulator gets so hot .
I even sticked ramsinks on the row of ic's next to the already covered fixed heatsink of coming with the HR-03 . Also i modified the 120mm fan to move a little to the left so it blows more on the voltage regulator spot . Little temp drop but still temps skyrocket with 1.2v and higher corespeeds . :mad: temps i saw in crysis were 92 Celcius for the vreg . My core stays cool around 70 celcius .
I strongly feel that the overclock for me is limited by the temps of the vreg .
Am i the only one who doesnt have this card on water ? :confused:
