Big Typhoon is cooling Northbridge as well (since it blowing air at the mobo)?

I'm debating on Big Typhoon vs Ultra 120, but then I heard about this Northbridge and capacitor heat issue (maybe those solid caps will be nice down the road for this reason?)

I had the bt before and won't be getting it again - I picked up a ninja for this new system. What do you think of your celeron ;) I have the same one @3.6ghz and it is a slow pos

I got the Celeron 326 D on the cheapz so I can't complain, but I haven't even bothered to overclock yet because yeah I heard it doesn't scale well....lol. (still It plays all my old games better than my previous computer)

I'm interested in BT VX because they say it mounts just like a stock LGA 775 cooler. You don't even have to take the mobo out.

Eventually (when my OC skills get better) I'm thinking maybe a NB cooler may be good with this mobo. But I'm not sure that is why I'm asking for opinions.

Good stuff from Gigabyte... it's the first one of their products I'd buy since the Granite Bay board back in???? 2002? Anyone remember that board? Remember teh GB chipset, it lasted like a month and a half between 845 and the release of 865/875?

EDIT, it was the GA-8INXP board and the GB chipset was e7205...

I just had a thought....

You know this board only has 3 phase power? Am I the only one thinking it may not cut the mustard as far as Kentsfield goes?

Could do that, but it's a PITA to change mobos when it's watercooled :( (Not watercooled yet...sold my old case and now can't decide on a new one :stick: )

You know, I probably have THE worst DS3 on earth, but it still does 450 MHz. How cool is that :D

just got my ds3. I notice theres no way to cool off the voltage regulators. Do i just put a fan there to cool it? I would like to find some kind of heatsink for it.
Also, looks like ill get getting the 6400 2gbhz from gskill. Any opinions on that? seems everyone here is happy with them. i need at least 480FSB! ^_^

Microcool makes PLL and mosfet coolers made specifically for, well, PLLs and mosfests.

Im keeping my Golden Orb 2 for Allendale... but i hope the board i get doesn't have a supper dupper high/wide NB heatsink.. so my Golden Orb 2 would fix well. :p:

The Gigabyte 8KNXP came soon after...i got stung by that one, 533FSB and the new one was 800...lol, great board though. Had a Silicon Image 3112 onboard...first mobo i got with SATA ports...i bought a Seagate 80GB SATA drive.

It was all new to me then. :-)

Heres a couple of screenies of what my e6300 OEM has been doing on my DS3 (revision C1). The CPU is at stock voltage while the PCI-E, Frontside bus and G-MCH have all benn over volted my +0.1V. Do you think this is safe to run 24/7

I think it will get there, just think we need a more mature bios first, any ideas though if its safe to run 24/7 at that speed with those volts
