Agree with your idea of the cool chamber. I am using this now. CMStacker 830 with two 120x38 mm intake fans and one similar exhaust fan. The heat sink is sitting in a direct cold air draft. Very effective and probably better than an open bench. However, it is an expensive setup. When you add the stacker + extra 3-in-1 module+ 3x38mm fans + Freezer Pro cooler, it cost maybe £100+ extra, in addition to modding effort to fit the 38 mm from fans. Ok, excellent cooling but not really quiet at all.
Was hoping that C2D would be more efficient and would fit a normal case with less noise than that, given it is only 65W vs 110W for AMD X2.
