Try CPU/12 and 3-3-2-7, it's what I ran for 280 HTT and that was SPi32M stable. TRFC = 24, Async latency = 11, Read preamble = 9.5. Apparently Optys like a low TRP.Quote:

Just wondering to see if I can achieve 10 X 300 1:1
If I wasn't OC the CPU, I got 3-3-3-8 manually at 282 HTT 1:1. If that was auto, it would go to 3-5-5-10. Possibly something like 3-4-4-10 or 3-5-4-10? Dunno, I recall having to relax timings a lot beyond 285.
thanks I can't believe I missed this small thumb nail. better late than never! lolQuote:

Hi Guys,
I'm a new member of this forum ! :D
My name is Gigi and I write from Italy !
Excuse if I don't speak English very well !
Dear Scott C., I have the same problem with the same hard disk (250GB) Maxtor SATAII 250GB 6V250F0.
I have two hard disk in Raid 0 on Nforce4 SATA II controller and my motherboard is Asus A8N32SLI Deluxe with bios 0703.
When I tried install the Operating System on Raid array (Windows XP Prof. SP2), Windows didn't create the partition on hard disk.
I loose many time for this problem, but now, the unique solution is set the jumper on hard disk in SATA 1 position.
In this mode all runs OK !
I have written to Maxtor support, but I haven't reiceved any response at the moment.
I think that it's a bios problem of M.B. and i hope in a new bios version !
Maybe a firmware revision problem for the hard disk too !
I'm waiting for a last solution.
Gigi
Hi guys,
a little question.
In the same day Asus, in the official site, has released two bios for the A8N32SLI m.b., ( 903 and 1009).
Which is the better for you ?
I think is the 1009 but I'm not sure.
Gigi

I've got another problem now :(

This is on stock cooling for now :)
I've tried the same settings for OCCT and it stops at 6% or more and it's the same if I put my CPU voltage at 1.5V :stick:
The load temperatures are around 46-48C
Could anyone please tell me what am I doing wrong? :(
Hey ben thanks for the informative thread, just 1 question
Im moving to this board but I have a Thermalright SI-120 and the Corsair LED ram, will it have clearance issues?
thanks in advance

edit: I mean that there looks to be no clearance issues.
Another vote for probably not. I have the SI-120 and theres probably an inch of space above my ballistix.Quote:

A8N32-SLI Deluxe Bios version 1009
1. Fixed System MAC/UUID will sometimes lose when AC Power lost
2. Add AI tuner Option under AI Booster to set Auto or Standard
3. Support changing SATA/RAID mode individually in the Bios
4. Add new memory frequency of 216,233 or 250 MHz no matter memory SPD is(E series support only)
5. Hidden ECC DRAM Support option when DRAM Doesn't support ECC function
6. change OnBoard GLAN1 option "Auto" to "Enable"
7. Adjust PowerManagement Default/power on option
8. Show PowerManagement option at APM option
very nice! I was thinking about getting one of these. but I dont want to pay 300 dollars for one.

Yep it's real nice. Using Speedfan, a new Temp shows up. I assume it's the PWM, but not positive.Quote:

BIOS 0903 is also up at the ASUS site now as well...
Just wondering ~ Which prefered method are you guys using to flash bios's on this mobo ?
Bios 1009 seems stable but still not able to get my TCCD mem over 200MHz but with Xmas being tomorrow havent had a good chance to give it a good try yet
As for flashing the Bios I have used the floppy and the widows util. floppy is safer but util is quicker (no need to find floppy etc) but if goes wrong the :banana::banana::banana: may hit the fan, if unsure use floppy
I got a DFI Expert yesterday, and according to that both of my CPUs are screwed (although a large pinch of salt is required). If so, my A8N32 might be ok after all. Hope so. It's a really nice mobo and the good BIOS revisions are coming through. I'll have to put it in a pyramid to give it powah lol.
AFUDOS...it works.Quote:
