Does anyone know if the DFI 1/25 BIOS which is shipping with the boards right now can boot up with venice?
Yes it can
may I ask why you are so sure?
if from what i read in another forum is true, sparco doesn't necessary handle shipping the cpu. they might have the distributor or the warehouse ship directly to the customers. man if that's the case, i wish sparco will ask the ingram micro near me to ship the cpu. or i can go to ingram and pick up the cpu. i think right now, the cpus are sitting at ingram micro and they're scanning and sorting different models out. if sparco ships orders out tomorrow, i hope they use the ingram micro near me :). i'm going to call them first thing tomorrow morning.
sparco now has the same ETA as monarch. :(
yea check the live availibility says may 6....
That may just be for OEM
geez, that sucks. the wait is too much. i hate to cancel with sparco again :(. i thought amd roadmap shows april as the release date for venice. what gives :(. this really blows.
And now the retail 3500 Winnies are gone.. Only OEM left. Plenty of Clawhammer 3500 boxes and even Newcastle 3500 boxes.
no i checked for ada3000bpboxQuote:

Gentlemen; the shiat has softly and gently hit the fan. That is all...
:smileysex :hump:
i'm going to call too. i can't stand this and i can't wait anymore. all the parts are gathering dust.
In an unusual display of self control, I cancelled the sparco order and pre ordered a 3700+ from Monarch. I didn't realize how cheap this processor actually is.
In the meantime I'm running a Geforce FX5200 because I sold my agp 6800 ultra thinking sparco would have shipped the procs by today and bought a geforce 6800 gt PCI-e here on the forums... I can only play CS 1.6
GOD HELP ME :slap:
i cancelled my pre-order with sparco too. i think they'll be getting alot of cancellations today. that's too bad for them. i'll just wait for these cpus to be available for sure before i place an order again. i can't believe amd is not holding their promise on a release. roadmap clearly says april for Venice :(.
I don't understand, how can Spanko flat out lied to us till the end of the Due date? a bunch of people including myself called them yesterday afternoon to check on the status, and all of us were being told that the "shipment" was being enroute and in transit to their warehouse, well...don't know what happened to that "shipment" now, I guess it just magically evaporated into thin air, or maybe it got hi-jacked somehow. :bananal:
We got changed info on a site here in sweden that has them for pre-order.
They say 3200+ ships next week from AMD.
And one week after that 3000 + 3500. 3800 + 4000 will be shipped.
A few UK sites say they expect delivery on 25 April, but I certainly wouldn't rely on it.
which one?Quote:

because he has a venice and other than you he READ all the infos about venice where it has been mentioned dozens of times that it works on all exisiting boards without a bios update :PQuote:

What is the added benefit to getting a Venice say 3800+ over a san diego 3700+
