I havn't used this bench in a long time, I figured I would get it a shot on eyefinity. I'll push it harder later today and see if I can break 9.7

Had to look twice how you'd gotten 9.56 at only 5G, lol. Without tryin to be rude, it's AMD CPU's only here mate.
Oh my apologies. I only saw the thread title.
Carry on.
I decided to do try Cinebench on my best Sempron 145.
http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/289/cinebench144.png
wow... 1.56 with single core is nice. What cooling? 5 GHz is impressive...btw, at hwbot.org is now Cinebench R11.5 submission too!
I used the same water cooling setup that I used for the FX-8350. Ambient temperature was -20C. The CPU itself is Prime95 stable at 4.6GHz at normal ambient temperatures. :)
wow, 4.6 GHz, its golden Sempron :)
btw, add your Sempron, you will be at 1st place :)
http://www.hwbot.org/benchmark/cinebench_r11.5/
It's very nice Sempron, indeed, but according to my testing many of the new ones can run 4.5-4.6 stable on water cooling and ambient temps.
Lack of L3 cache and 2-core die makes them run really cool even with far from high-end cooling.
Problem is finding one that does really high HTRef on LN2 :).
Yours seems to be a good candidate, unless it has a coldbug...
@FlanK3r:
Thanks, but I think I'll stay away from HWBot a bit longer.
I used to do some benchmarking for HWBot and I did enjoy it, but had some bad experiences with the admins being overzealous with applying the rules + adding extra rules in addition to officially written ones when I did benchmarking with older hardware and Win98. That really killed all the fun of doing the tweaking and benchmarking for HWBot for me.
Perhaps I'll start to submit results to HWBot again at some point in the future, but right now I'd rather only focus on having fun tweaking and overclocking my hardware. :)
@I.nfraR.ed:
Last year I experimented with overclocking the HTRef on my GA-MA790X-UD3P motherboard using this Sempron. I managed to reach 471MHz. I should think that it is the CPU/NB that limits the OC of the HTRef here though.

It might definitely be THE one :)
I've been doing some winter H2O testing to see If I could move up in the ranks a little...
I'm not putting my whole rig outside, just trying to cheat. Here's a pic:

A friend came over the other day, came back in the living room and said "Dude, what happened? Did a robot explode in there !!!?"...
I guess she has a point, it does look pretty geeky. :p:
Anyway, it's close to 0c here tonight so I tried to best my CB 11.5 score on the old 8350 (1236PGN).
I was hoping to move up in the ranks a little, but this board is at it's limits. It's a budget board (Asus M5A97 R2.0) and anymore CPU voltage caused a "CPU Overvolt" error during post.
I need a decent board for bench testing, I may pick up an open box Sabertooth next time I see one on NewEgg...
I didn't move up, but I did manage to beat my previous best, so it may keep me in the top 10 a bit longer...

The "Wow" was just a fluke that happened during testing, so I saved it. :p:
I'm rambling now, and this is a little OT, but I closed on my house tonight!
I'm officially a "home owner" now, and will be moving into the new place at the end of the month...
Nice one Dave, i love the pic of that exploded robot!
It's a bit hard to see but are you using a heatercore there? And an ancient Swiftech block and ancient Hypers? Cause if you do 62 points is a massive score! lol
I thought you had a Crosshair V Formula as well, why didn't you try on that board?
Hopefully today i have a new CPU coming, fingers crossed it will be a nice one so i can give you some competition for old time sake. :)
62.84?:D Wooooow :)
Wow! OMG! Great! Insane!
Sorry, but I don't consider it as a good practice to wake up every thread without actually saying anything.
Your comment is just meaningless and doesn't give the reader any valuable information.
When I open the AMD section and see some thread has new posts, I expect to learn something new, see a new score or a real discussion for a given topic.
All in all, it's not a chat.
Nothing really personal against you, many other XS members do it as well. Maybe the forum culture is different in different countries, I don't know...
Gratz Dave on your new home! I wish you smooth move as this is the part I HATE the most when moving (luckily not planning this any time soon)!
Somehow I have a soft spot for ghetto WC rigs and yours is just fantastic! Reminds me of my setup from early 2000.
Keep up pushing as your scores are climbing!
My new result with 3rd FX-8350 chip, looks strong in hard benchmarks. For validation the same as my second chip. But I need fresh OS, my scaling is not much good...It could be 9.2 or so with this settings.

Here's my 1244PGT at -1.2?C :

Let's hope there's some left in that chip at colder temps.
Good eye Eugene... Yep, it's all old gear, a Chevette heater core (w/Scythe 3000 RPM fan) a Swiftech XT block and my old GT Hypers...
The C5F is in my main rig (800D case) and it's just too heavy to lug outside. :(
Your new chip is looking very good, but honestly my 1236 is only slightly weaker than the 1244. They both seem to be good batches.
Thanks for the kind words Lightman... I apologize for the OT comment, but it's a pretty big step for me and I was/am excited. :D
When it comes to CB11.5, core clocks make the biggest difference...
If you'll notice in my screen shot the 9.25 was done with Mushkin BBSE's @ 1050 7-10-7 and the difference is marginal at best. :yepp:
Considering your cooling and ambient temps that definetly looks like a good one Flank3r!
Infra/Kevy: This was already an active thread (no one woke it up), and although I didn't post extremely useful information, I did post my highest score to date. Sorry if I offended you guys... :(
I know you both have skills, and I do tend to post after I've had a few beers (like now), guess you could just "ignore" me...
Dave, i need you to give me some competition buddy!
http://i.imgur.com/m6JUFaW.png
Not sure I can compete with that Zeus!
I haven't put the 1244 on cold air yet and it's pretty useless to move it to that M5A97...
As far as daily ambient use the 1244 is good for about an extra 70mhz stable over the 1236 (4790 vs 4720).
I'll be busy with the move for the next couple weeks. Once I get settled in I'll grab a new (clockable) board and see what I can do... ;)
If my new chip can get close to that I'll be a happy camper!
Dave, get your priorities straight buddy. The house is much more important, this battle can wait. :) Hopefully we'll have some more contenders, like in the Bulldozer days. I'm gonna get me one more chip, i need one that will run CB at at least 5.3G in normal ambient. I know there are plenty out there that are capable of doing that.
Might snag me a 1245PGT, last week i was informed a store i asked had those in store. :) Haven't seen any around with that weeknumber yet.
Good luck with the new home Dave, when it's done i'll come over for a beer. :toast:
Mine is running CB 5.3Ghz at 20C ambients, lol, might be the full motherboard waterblock that is helping.
The only way I could give you guys some competition is if I found a way to stick the radiator in the freezer !
Or take the computer up to the mountains, lol!
Temps make so much difference to these CPU'z .......
