If I can't afford dual-socket rigs, I may as well bug people who can for photos ;)
Yup, worst warranty service EVER. Definitely adding them to the list of people to NEVER buy from again. It's the one down side to being over here in Aust: All warranty returns are done through the retailer you buy them from, where as if I was in the US I could have sent it straight to eVGA and had a new one back within 2-4 weeks.
Eller
Now the phenom system is crunching along at 2.75ghz. Turns out my opty comes in today and not on wednesday because it only had to ship from Pennsylvania so I'll only have the system up for around 6-8 hours before I start tweaking again.
Rather than starting a new thread to make this minor announcement, I will tack it on to this one. I am (or will be) crunching under this new user name with the q6600 cruncher I bought from DavidL6 recently, after I put it back together...
serlv, 450 fsb is pretty much guaranteed with the york and if I felt comfortable giving it the extra voltage needed for 24/7 I know I could run the 470fsb needed for 4gb too. I'm more than satisfied at 3825 (8.5*450) with 1.34v and I know that little extra is there if I ever want it. Really doesn't seem to matter what board I put 'em in, P35, 780i, or X48, They all have about equal success as far as I can tell although I really do love running one in my sli setup, big fun :D
"Welcome to the team!
What is "the basement" like?"
The basement has a summer ambient of about 60F summer and 50F winter. It contains an e6850, with some good games installed, surround sound, a q6600 that is being rebuilt, lots of spare computer parts and cooling supplies, and the occasional cat. It's pretty cool.

 Climbing guys! Lets head to 6 mil..
Wish I wasn't going to college next year. There'd be money lying around just begging for a couple quads.
Cellars rule as long as you can manage the dust. Sounds like a great place to hang out.
Like a root cellar or tornado shelter?
Yeah, that would be very nice. As long as you never have to worry about floods anyway. Mine is only 3/4 underground and is built into a hillside so on occasion I get a little water. But since one side is at ground level, I never have to worry about getting more an inch or 2 of water since beyond that it would just drain out the door.
Well I cranked up the duallies can't get much out of them the 300watt psu just won't let them go up much, and got my quad at 3.0ghz with a stock intel cooler, I'll see how that runs for a bit before I try to go higher.
Ohio's closer. ;)
