w00t a billion!!
BTW: I sense a quad in mah future... tomorrow? I have the money but am not 100% decided yet, I need some encouragement from you guys...
...so that I have someone to blame :D
It will go to my main rig, e6600 will go to the shelf until I get a second PSU and ram set (christmas perhaps).
Big Congrats to everyone on reaching 1 Billion Points - an awesome achievement in such a short time by a small but dedicated bunch of crunchers!!
There is NO other team that could have come so far in such a short time
Hmm, encouragement huh..
I can call you and we can discuss it...daily!
Don't forget yourself here pal..You are the one that brought WCG to our attention..
Also a lot of that billion has your name attached to it..
Lot's of your work is not in your name but done by your machines..;)
This just in:
Easynews 5,023,533
XtremeSystems 4,866,979
Urrrrgh...hate to be the bearer of bad news...
Sig, just so you know I at least figured something out...
FAR and away better than before, now with more crunching...
Kayin - I'm sorry, but could you spell out what it is you mean. I'm probably just thick but I don't get it. It looks like you're running stock settings - is that it?
went from a 3600 X2 to that.
BTW, there are other members of the forum that "helped" with that. I'll run more than stock when I figure out Intel settings. Been AMD so long that I dunno what to do sometimes...
just getting to the BIOS on the BadAxe seems to be an adventure.
Next week I have some time off, will find my d20s and see if I can make it through...
Depending on HS quality and your memory, that chip will do 3600 all day..
Some DDR2-800 and a 9x400 setting in bios..
List the specs of what you have for parts there and we're off to the races!
Sierra_bound gets some huge numbers from a dual core machine he has.
Got it on a BadAxe rev. 305, 2 GB of Dominator 6400C4, HD3850, powered by a Corsair HX520. Stock quad HSF (the kids got the good one, SS) and Ceramique ATM, waiting on the tax return for water...
Kayin,
Don't feel to bad. I've never really liked this Bad Axe 2 I have. I could never get it to clock as well as my asus boards.
Wes, my only problem is I keep looking for HTT settings...
I may mess with it later today, but I have a three-day block in front of me and those are always killers...
But, this thing does rendering and gaming as well, I want speed but stability. That's why I gave my kids the 680i board and kept this-Intel board, Intel chipset. Possibly less Xtreme, but then again, I'm not too worried. I have PLANS for this thing...
Hey, I've got a Celeron M lying around gathering dust, what have you guys been using as boards for them?
Woooo shiny :D

at stock now, searching for max stable OC.
EDIT: 3420 MHz orthos stable... cooling is limiting me.
Kayin,
gtj is an expert on overclocking the badaxe2 boards. He is also a cruncher so maybe he can shed some light on the proper settings to push that board. I had it up to 3.51 on water but ran best at 3.4Ghz for me. But I do not have his experience with overclocking so he will most likely get it to sing.
If you don't have it here is a good thread...
