Dos version of Memtests is kinda suck.. I had there error free tests, but with Memtest/superpi/orthos/prime/etc in windows i got Errors..
Raja.... I have sent you PM @ dficlub:)
Now that you bring it up how are those (PC2 1150) OCZ Flex in this board anyhow? The EGG did not have stock because I was going to buy them:rolleyes:
Thanks John:) Hey, I asked Raja for Subtimings in PM at dficlub so I can further diagnose and troubleshoot Ram perhaps you can fill in Blanks for me on what Memset does not list John? Also some fine clock delay Parameters would help me assist better as well not that I have even touched that portion of Bios yet but I guess nows as goood time as any!:yepp:
If you guys want I am willing to help with this issue but I just got the board aweek 1/2 ago and insight from guys that are testing for D.F.I would be wonderful seeing how you have the time in on it:clap:
I hope to order this mobo sometime this month. Bills > me :(
while u guys are allready testing the cellshock problem ;) u could actually try if 1t works :sofa:
still there wasnt any confirmation of that working (would be great if there is a bios problem and BOTH could be fixed at the same time wouldnt it ;) )
thanks in advance
I figure spend the kids' inheritance now Overclocking...
So far this is my favorite mobo of all time--I like it because it's kicking my butt to learn more stuff :p:
Thanks John just walked in the door from dficlub (Sigh):dammit:
Forgive my cross-posting this from another forum :O
Heyas, when going for a Q6600 overclock in the 420-450FSB x9 range, what is the consensus here: do you approach it from a low vcore with a high nb and vtt angle, like Raja has done in this post - vcore 1.39v, vtt 1.6v, nb 1.61v (in windows vtt and nb both read 1.58v), with GTLs of 115-114-117; or try and aim for a vtt of around 1.45-1.5v with a higher vcore, say 1.5v (and GTLs of around 110-110-115)?
Reason I'm asking is because I'm currently 8hr+ prime95 blend stable at 422FSB (3.8GHz) with a vcore of 1.55v, vtt of 1.52v, nb of 1.58v (actual) and GTLs of 114-114-117. Now I'd like to get it stable at 433FSB (3.9GHz) at the same vcore, it's just that it fails after about 3 hrs of Prime95 large fft.
I'd like suggestions as to what would help my stability at this speed, short of adding more vcore (I'd actually like to reduce it if possible). Also, regarding the GTL voltages, I've read that it's not as simple as working out 67% of the vtt, etc. but rather works on some kind of sliding scale, and there's also a 0.02-0.03v droop to take into account. So, does anyone know the exact formula for accurately working out GTLs on this board? i.e looking at Raja's settings, shouldn't my GTLs be more like 110-110-117? (hope this post isn't too confusing. :P heh)

Maybe the other 2 that had issue with TeamXtreem were a isolated incident.
Raja, Praz, and myself are all hitting our heads against the wall with the Cell Shock Ram in question Cell Shock (PC2 8000) and Raja has even Flashed the SPD with numerous Different Rams SPD that are know to work well with this board.
I am glad you're Team Xtreem is working well because although mine works fine after 1050mhz 4:5 4-4-4-12 it requires Massive amounts of Vdimm to overclock around 2.35Vdimm at 1080mhz which is entirely way too much and these sticks clock to 1200mhz 4-4-4-12 @ 2.4v talk about disappointed I spend $330.00 on this Ram and I cannot even enjoy it on this Board:down:
I will throw them in A EVGA 680i system that I have right here and Money to you're Pimp they kick the Door down!
after days of GTL tuning with OCCT,
8X450, 1.43125V, bios set,
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...ph/1.43125.jpg
I aimed for this FSB and core clock speed to be stable, then tried 9x400 and it was stable.. would it be safe to say that my system is tweaked for FSBs from 400-450?
keeping the same settings for the GTL, NB voltage, Vdimm voltage and only changing Vcore, here:
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...igsstable2.jpg
and another one:
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a.../3.8stable.jpg
from 8x450, 9x400, 9x415, 9x423, only Vcore was changed to make it OCCT stable, CPU&RAM aka "Blend".
I guess it's safe to say that these settings that made my system stable using OCCT will atleast pass an 8-hour Prime95 test or Orthos test for that matter.. didn't have time to test though.. OCCT gives quick results, if my system wasn't stable,it fails a sec after idling, at 28mins 59 secs, LOL

So am I to understand that TEAM XTREEM is working well in this Board?
I put the Transpiper on my southbridge, with a 120mm fan on it, dropped my chipset temps 10C! So I would say its effective.
If anyone wants to get rid of their Transpiper, PM me! I want see results with two of them.
