my "old" enermax 430 i sometimes think handles better then my fortron 530w... but as a 20pin psu with only 18a on the 12v i would be worried as well..

Just recieved my DFI-SLi-D! Friend of mine was in Hong Kong this past week and grabbed it for me! The board looks sweet. Mine is a Rev A01. Will get it installed tongiht. Should be fun....

Just waiting on Fed Ex to get here with my 850XT PE today.

Specs are A64 3500+ Winchester, 1GB G.Skill LE, DFI SLi-D, (2) Maxtor SATA 120GB drives, XP-120, Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS, ATI Theater 550, ATI 850XT PE, Dell 1905FP, Logitech Z-5500's, Plextor 716 DVD Writer and Sony 16x DVD Drive.

Hopefully this 3500 does better than my last 3 3200's and 3000. Its a 0501, but who knows...

Will post tonight after I get it setup.

Shoot an email to DFI. As I said before, all boards sold in Hong Kong are of RevA01. Maybe a new board owner from US can tell us their board revision. Let's see if BigToe's 20 components changes have made it into a new revision.

I have asked the same questions, both my new boards are A00 and i have been assured the boards have the ECR although some boards have been shipped witht he 119 bios. I must stress to you that you MUST flash to the 125 or later bios before you do anything else.

Boards in the US aparantly have 125 on already so you should be good to go. I have 131 if its not already been posted up.

As a matter of fact my board (Ultra-D) is revision A00 and came with the 119 bios. I have flashed it to 2.01 and the only thing I noticed is the Enable bank interl. in the memory section (of course now the bandwidth is even bigger than before). Don't think that my board is a beta. Delighted with DFI support.. so many BIOSes in so little time :toast:

Wtf!!!!???

Well it's not time to start with the complaints, but I have a very odd one here.

I have been using the Ultra-D with the XP installation I got from my MSI Neo2. My HDD is a Raptor 74G. The thing is, I cannot install windows under any circumstanses! Even by starting the installation from windows or from a bootable CD!!! it will always stop at "setup is now... your hardware"!!! Even an hour ago it could not even BOOT when I had my raptor connected to the Sata channel 1.

Yes I have changed the channels, yes I have loaded optimized settings, yes I have tried another cable! After 30 minutes or so of PURE maddness, it started working again! With my old installation of course, I still cannot install windows again!!! Shocking!

Any ideas?

My mem is the OCZ VX, so I doubt there is any problem with the memory and as I already stated, I have tried the optimized-default settings, no oc, no nothing!

Oh- I hope this isn't an issue with the Raptor, cos I have one too (a Raptor, not the DFI board- yet) :( Read something about issues with NF4 and Maxtor SATA's

Where did you get the board from- I see we hail from the same place :)

well, the nf4 sli dr is outta stock, but the ultra D is still there at newegg. Getem while they last!

Thanks, but I've got one on order from Overclockers here in the UK :) . Supposed to have been in today, but apparently the delivery guy got "lost" :rolleyes:

:( Hm - not sure this will help, but I had some issue like that on my NEO2 - it was a faulty BIOS version which made Windows unable to load the SATA storage controller from the extra disk at setup. I tried 10 times - no go.
Then I swiched to another BIOS and the problem has gone.

Sorry its off-topic, but could you do me a massive favour and measure the thickness of the NF4 chipset HSF- if you look at the thread on watercooling the chipset you'll see why I'm asking ;)
