DFI is on top of it. They are the only maker of true performance boards in my opinion, lookin forward to this mobo and very glad to have you involved with this bigtoe :woot:
Oh ya and as far as colors go I'd drop the skyblue. SOunds too much like the Sapphire board. If it was exactly like your ATI reference that would be best, that board looks bad ass http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...cons/icon6.gif
LOL BT edition :)Quote:

Well, there's this line from a movie, can't remember the name....
"If you build it, they will come."
If they do it as you say, we WILL buy. But if they put your "BT" on it, it better be good... :fact:

Could be. Hehehehehehe...
RGone...
Well, honestly, most of us here know what's needed in a board, and are willing to pay for it. It's not a matter of it being a dream board...it just a matter of it being what it should have been in the first place. The guys here greatly influence the market...i think OCZ is well aware of this fact. If you can please this crowd...
this is sapphire's problem...i mean really...if that board had/will come out...exactly as it first appeared here, it would have rocked the world. Seriously. Provided onboard video on a ultra-high quality, 350HTT board, means all those people that hold off on the high-end boards becasue of needing a vidcard would buy it...i'm not talking the clockers here, but the average overclocker, who buy's a 6200 or x300...workstations...most of them will be willing to forgo the $80-120 they spend on a vidcard becasue it means less hassle and all that crap...People who don't need ultra-high-end vidcards....that's the majority of the market.
Provide a good board, when your rep for vidcards is already decent, and you will sell alot. Period. Your rep from the board will almost mean they buy one of your vidcards for upgrade when needed...
But someone got coldfeet on the chipset cost... :slapass:
You don't need to make a large profit on each unit... :nono: you just need to sell lots of units. :fact:
DFI seem to realize this. 6 borked DFI boards going all the way back from NF2 days, and i still buy thier product, as do so many others. WHY?
Who's the dolt at Sapphire who doesn't get it? :stick: He should be fired. :fact:
bigtoe man,... rotfl, that would be funny if they named it after you, Props to dfi for keeping it real, at the same time, it would be cool too, after all, abit named their silly board after that one guy.... twiddle. Do you know what the release date is bigtoe? I need that board before the 2nd weekend of oct. for a major event we have planned :) Once again, dfi just damn owns everyone. wtf is wrong with all the other companies? I think if they aren't serious in releasing a performance board, just forget about it. I know I wouldn't be wasting my R&D dollars on something and NOT make it worth it. Btw, that movie is called Field of Dreams, heh.
forgive me for not wanting to troll through 33 pages to find answers to a couple of questions, but...
Is October still the possible release date?
Is it still looking to be as good as was anticipated?
can we get the first post edited with important info?
thanx, just an anxious overclocker ready for opti 939 and a grouper
a screen shot of the new board would just make my day...
As long as its name had -BT at the end of it :DQuote:

i wouldn't count sapphire out of the equation just yet. dfi's track record for timely releases and quality control hasn't always been the best. last to the nf2 party, last to the nf3-939 party.Quote:

If their boards comes to market with crap caps or even any cut corners they WILL be out of the equation, period :fact:
Somewhere near end of Sept when ATI puts the show on the road to the public> I expect a great number of ATI chipset boards will appear. It will be until then really before the real truth comes out and myself I seldom put stock in reviews until some of you guys get them in your hands. I sort of am old fashioned and need to be 'cited' as the old folks say.
What I can say is that we have pulled every string that I know to keep the DFI board that BigToe is referring to> on track and componentry equal or better than a sample board.
Is it holding to all of that? I have not seen one yet and will not for some weeks as DFI is working out the last of the niggles. There should be a time at end of Sept or close when I will see the real deal. Trying to ensure that happens even at this instant in history. I know what I want to see and will know if I got it, when I see the boards.
You will know for sure as soon as BT and I see our boards. Thank you all for your consideration.
RGone...
thanks RGone. Like the sapphire board, i look forward to seeing what comes out. I'll be waiting...
lol haven't seen u out of the street for sometime now Rgone.. :)
thnx for the info

I have a very good feeling about this DFI CF-BT mobo; the same feeling I had with the socket 754 LP UT nF3 and it turned out to be a stellar motherboard *still is too*
The DFI nF4 are great overclockers but sometimes difficult to setup due to some of it's bugs even for the experienced.Once setup it's awesome tho :)
I'm sure the CF-BT is going to be a lot more bug free and easier to setup and very easy to OC .
Looks like another DFI all of fame OC mobo comming our way !
Nanobot man I see you are a man after my own thinking. We as the overclocking nutso's cannot buy enough boards to make it worth a companies efforts. But just from seeing what BT did to the NF4 704-2BTA.bin bios yesterday> you can have all the 'tweaks' and boot up with just about anything memory wise and as said > all the tweaks as well as long as the board is speed capable.
So yes we want the ROCKET MONSTER features. I know what they should look like and BT and I have held out for all we can get. The proof though will come when I start to take the board up the scale. Thanks for you knowledgeable understanding of what is really needed. Bootable and tweakable. Thank you.

:toast: DFI, you just might have pulled your butt out of the fire (in my book)...
as much as i love to be the "first on the block" when it comes to hardware, something tells me im going to have to sit back and watch these new mobos / R520 cards for a while :(
how would one go about getting an engineering sample of the DFI CF-BT?
I don't wanna wait..I wanna see how far it will overclock...
I am looking forward to seeing the DFI CF-BT. I know what the plan is for this motherboard and I think it will definitely be a fine piece of hardware. DFI is spending a lot of time and effort to come up with the perfect combination for the enthusiast and the gamer. They are designing their latest set of motherboards with a vigor and enthusiasm that impresses me.
